Hello Movement Parallels Life! I like your stretches but having Arthritis in both my hip joints (Ball & Socket) the 90/90 exercise position is not achievable for me unfortunately.? Perhaps, you have stretches that would accommodate my needs? Thanks.
Hi Colin. All movements / positions / stretches can be scaled up or scaled back. For ex. the Side Sit stretch can be scaled back by elevating your hips to reduce the ROM of internal & external rotation. The key is to make the modifications and adjustments to accommodate your body's current situation. This comes through consistent, mindful practice. Like anything else, movement is a process. Take your time and if you get stuck or want to fast track then hiring a coach is a great investment.
