What an absolutely well spoken and charismatic person Wei is.
This guy is made for the camera and talking watches. Brilliant presentation and awesome watch.
Thank you Wei Koh for this awesome review! I fell in love with this line of watches and decided that one of them will be my first watch, but to be perfectly honest - even though I'm not proud of this - I kept getting swayed away because of the general watch community's comments about the brand and the movements they use. I was so upset that I was giving into it but somehow I couldn't turn it off; I thought there must be some truth to what they are saying, and I don't want my hard-earned money to go to waste! However, watching you and remembering all your amazing interviews with Biver made me realise how silly I was being. This is a fantastic watch and I really appreciate you taking the time to show us just that.
Wei is just a super charismatic dude!
Wei Koh is a boss. Always a pleasure watching him. 👍🔥
Great review. That new green Titanium Aquaracer is amazing to see in real life. Incredibly comfortable to wear. Something tells me this one will be one to grab.
Totally with you on the Stanley Tucci pent up travel wishes.
Great watch 😍
Hey man I loved your review I'm going to get aqua racer soon.. I really enjoyed your review cheers man🍻❤️👍🏼
Love this watch
Dope! No Question 😳😳✌🏾
The positives: Nice design overall, great clasp, great weight/ comfort on wrist . Negatives: Outdated Calibre 5 with only 38 hrs power reserve, basically an ETA 2824 a movement found in watches costing US$500. Massive depreciation on the secondary market at around 75% depending on who/where you sell it .Colour is not for everybody , I would have done this in blue since it’s called Aquaracer or “water racer”. Green , it’s ok but not for me . Some models use plastic part(s) and/or spacer I believe and at that price point it’s a big no no. Grade 2 titanium is softer and scratches more easily than a higher grade titanium , they used it probably because it’s cheaper and easier to mass produce , so more profit for them .Lastly the price is too high, for the savvy watch buyer this feels like a “ rip off” .
Got to agreed with you … I love the design but come on, they need to invest in their movements …
We need a movement shot, for these new ones. Previous generation was using the plastic spacers, I'm very curious to see what the new generation looks like. One of us needs to get our hands on these and pop the back off to see.
I appreciate the fact that you spell colour with a "u" :D
@@Fervor1878 The Superocean Heritage 57 had 42 hours of power. Ever Breitling knew, 38 was too low.
casio have the best value
Love the 36MM!
This is the Tag Heuer Hulk
Great review, I would probably pick one of these up second hand in a few years or so. It would have been nice if you could have reviewed all of the colours offered by TAG Heuer though :)
Btw. The price difference between the green and blue is crazy!
very handsome colorway
I read about plastic bits in tag watches, why is this a issue? And do they make their own movement in the green Aquaracer? As you would hope so for the $$$ they charge.
How was he able to get into Singapore?
Bamford didnt break the internet lol
It's got a lot of style and charecter. The adjustable bracelet is cool too. Wish it had a bit more power reserve.
Calibre 5 is outdated , its basically an ETA 2824 a movement you can find in US$500 watches! Even Oris now has an in house movement on the Aquis 41.5 mm with 120 hrs power reserve
@@theoverlord1925 I'm very much aware of all this. I have such a movement in my Oris Divers 65, cost me only 1400 brand new when I bought it. Funny you mention this because I was thinking about the new Aquis' with 120 hours of power. Now, power reserve isn't everything. But, 38 is just too low. I need at least 48, come on.
The old one with the silver Lünette (the emerald version) looks much better!
Cool watch, looks good on you, like the size, and the look. Good colour too. He sounds so American, but looks very asian.
How much is it in SGD ?
Would be way cooler with a black dial.
Isn't grade 2 titanium more fragile and scratches easier than stainless steel? Should have been grade 5 titanium.
Yes correct but grade 2 cheaper so more profit for Tag Heuer. The biggest “ rip off” in my opinion is the outdated Calibre 5 which is basically an ETA 2824 with only 38 hrs power reserve and plastic part / spacer in the watch .At US$4650 in some parts of the world , you tell me if it’s a good deal ? Factor in a 75% depreciation in the secondary market and I say, nope.
Is there a better dresser with more swag than Wei Koh? Answer: No, there isn’t.😂 #sartorialsplendor 😎
Wait, did I hear him right? Did he just say there was only three dive watches in existence that have lumed ceramic bezels. I can think of seven or eight just off the top of my head.
The New Aquaracer looks great. The design is well executed and is becoming an iconic dive watch design for Tag. The entire watch seems well made, nice bracelet, clasp and case finishing. Nice colors on the dials. Only downside is the movement, but it's still good, just nothing fancy. Also the movement technical specs are lacking too... let's say compared to the new Oris Aquis or Tudor Black Bay. I own the Tudor Black Bay 41 Blue bezel, but I will admit this Tag is great alternative to the Black Bay if you like a more modern look. Tag did a great job!
But it's not well made, doesn't have great finishing and has a cheap movement as you say
@@michaelbishop9157 it is well made in almost every aspect. Of course, the movement is what is holding it back. The watch itself and its quality can compete with Tudor, Oris or Omega, but those other brands now have a better movement than this tag.
Tag has way better quality than Oris garbage.
@@michaelbishop9157 Have you been to their factory? No, then zip it, you have no idea how well it's made or not.
@@johnb9981 movement is poor and we all know they lied about their movements in the past. The quality and finishing doesn't match Tudor or Omega
I would take this beauty over the Seamaster any day.
👍🏼
🤔 everyone to their own I guess 🤷👍🏴
Spiffy
Really like TAG, but Omega has a much nicer-looking Seamaster green dial/bezel combination.
I don't know man, have you seen the seamaster in person? It's really dark, didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would
@@aneeshwagle8892 I agree with you. I recently saw the new green Seamaster in person and thought the same thing.
900USD Certina ph200 has ETA powrmatic 80 :)
It has cheap movement SW 200-1
Bamford broke the Internet? Value proposition? This is some major poo talk .
Tudor pelegos is better
value proposition? 🤣 great joke Wei
This is the exact opposite of a value proposition. Tudor pisses all over it. Sorry but Tag needs to up their game stop being lazy and go all in house.
Yes butt if it goes inhouse they must charge 5k...and then will the people also complain...for 3k and the brand history i say it is a winner
fuck inhouse. It only makes the watch harder to service. ETA and ETA modded movements are high standard great movements that any watchmaker can service and get spare parts for.
In comparing the large variants, the Tag wears so much nicer on wrist. The Tudor 58 is probably nicer, but the 41mm Tudor diver is not good on wrist.
@@davidhabjanic3032 In Australia its AUD $6150 which is US$ 4650 . That’s a lot closer to 5k than to 3k. Calibre 5 is outdated, it uses plastic parts/ spacers in some models I believe. 38 hrs power reserve in 2021 is just not good enough for me at that price point . Then if you consider that if you were to sell this you would get around $1500 for it at a 75% depreciation I would say no that is not correct , it’s definitely not a winner , at least not to the savvy watch buyer.
@@theoverlord1925 this price is for the titanium version i think. Here in europe the stainless stell is 2850€ .Yes resale value is really bad with tag heuer butt like with all used things you lose money with selling .Look at cars you buy a beamer 5 for 80k brand new and in 2 years only is worth 40k(nobody complaints ).
P.s. i dont do safe buying if i can afforted i buy or i dont. The plastic is btw better shock ressistant then a metalic one thats why they use them. The sellita movement or some use also eta 2824 ok yes its a standard movement. For me 2850€ is not much for such a brand history(not only heuer butt also tag heuer!!!) If Rolex can charge the 3× of the msrp with basic watches for the watch snobs i think Tag can charge 3k or4,5k titan version. And dont compare please a Oris(great brand btw) with a Tag.Oris knows nobody butt a Tag knows somebody that is not even in the watch game.
Please when will youtoobers stop saying guys. It drives me fucking crazy.
I don’t get why anyone doesn’t like a Tag they are beautiful and I can’t wait to get another one to replace the one I lost in the snow.Operator error ⛷
