I love the simplicity & size of the Aquaracer 200. The green is gorgeous!
Amen to that!
Cannot agree more to the statement that Tag deserves a special spot. I do not know what the general conception of the brand is in the west but over here in the east I can confirm that Tag’s literally bringing the new, younger people into the hobby
What country? In India and Australia, Tag is very popular. I had trouble finding any Tag pieces in Thailand.
@@stevens1041 I’m talking about south korea and japan
TAG IS UNDERRATED
It is!
Big reason is they make some good entry level luxury. Then sell some odd quartz with watch connections which are more expensive and not any better than some G Shocks,, and Citizen. At least they hit their markers..
I have a g shock and a Tag Heuer. I can’t see how they are comparable. The finish on the Tag is superb. It oozes quality regardless of the movement inside. The design, build and finish is what you pay a lot more money for.
@@Nick-cs9dt I like Tag. Solid 🔥
Love my Aqua racer it’s a keeper 👍
I got the ruby red ! I love every angle of this watch!
Of all green dials I've seen, this one is up there at the top. Very nice.
What a stunning piece very good looking watch
Great video again love your work
Very nice! Love my 2 Tag Heuers. Love my Omegas and 2 Rolex’s! My wife loves her Tag and Omega. We have never had an issue with any. We buy what we like.
Tag started my journey, so I still have it as a benchmark.
Love that Tissot Prx!! Also massive fan of Tag still my go to when looking at and buying watches
Yeah! I wondered why they didn't even bother mentioning it. The green is luxurious looking
Love bi color lume. I’m considering the new aqua racer with gold bezel and blue dial
Favorite Tissot Watch: my PRX P80 in blue.
Favorite Tag Watch: Formula 1 collection. I used to have a F1 back in the 90s in High School. Red case, white dial, black bezel. I wish I still had it today.
Current on my wrist: CasiOak. Perfect watch for a Memorial Day weekend beach getaway. Great at the beach, good out to dinner as well.
0:51 ehh i'd say the carrera and monaco are what people mainly associate tag heuer with.
Definitely the monaco
@@SW-8228 and the Carrera. Their two flagships, square vs circle.
Definitely not the Aquaracer though, Tag is known for racing chronographs, not divers.
@@Celestias but the carrera imo is not as easily identifiable as the Monaco
I love the stainless steel bezels on my Horage Supersede, Breitling Windrider 41, and green dial Oris diver from 1991.
The aqua racer isn’t what they’re known for? It’s their Carrera line…I’m not sure who told you that but TH has always been known for their racing watches
I’ve just bought this piece and can’t take my eyes off it, I love everything about it especially the dark green face although, I totally agree that the crown could be a little less prominent, not a deal breaker though it still has plenty going for it. Great video, thank you!
Congratulations mate! I’m a huge fan of this one
I’m not a fan of Tag but I do think this piece is aesthetically pleasing. I also prefer steel/aluminum bezels over ceramic by far. Not bad !
The Tissot PRX is my favourite Tissot , but my favourite watch at the moment is CFB big date
Beautiful watch
HI thanks for your vid on this watch . is there a review on the professional 200 model with the subdials??? i cant seem to see much on here for that one.
Hey man , great videos, they've just released a red variant , stunning!
Just an FYI, this style of dial is called fumé, not sunray.
Ahh I see, thank you Sir!
Have a similar Aquaracer, steel bezel, grey dial with similar if not the same vertical lines. 42mm, 300m. Got it new old stock with warranty for like $1275 to the door, similar new models are around $2500. I like ss bracelets. I will accept dings and scratches as part of life.. I don't abuse my watches.
I think their day in the sun is voming they are starting to create some beauties
Very decent watch. Will definitely add a new flavour to anyone’s collection 🤩
Was waiting for this!! No one’s talking about the new green dial 🔥
Amen to that! It’s epic.
Wearing an Omega Aquaterra: 38mm, black and white dial, rubber strap. I really like the watch and wear it often. Although the lume is very good, I have issues seeing the hands because of the size of the hands and the small dial. If Omega had two colors on the hands, it would be easier to distinguish the hands.
I like this Aquaracer but I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in the flesh. On the wrist today is the Nomos Ludwig Neomatik 36. It wears more like a 39 as the bezel is super thin. Oh and it's a very thin watch as well.
Love the watch
Always liked the design of the Aquaracer. Was the first of the recent TAG's I've started to notice. But it was the reverse panda glassbox carrera that got me to finally buy my first TAG. It's almost too beautiful of a watch.
GlassBox! Congrats and enjoy
The glassbox is on a whole other level than the aquaracer
Hey man may I ask where did you get your shirt from? It looks fire!
Ace watch, so good I bought one
Tag does make the nicest looking watches. They’re like jewelry. Love mine, just as nice looking as a Omega or Rolex
Tag has a special place in my heart. I remember as a kid going shopping with my dad to buy his first nice watch and he ended up with a quartz professional 300. Still has it to this day over 20 years later. Unfortunately they just dont have anything that interests me in the price range i like to shop in. The base selita or quartz for 2k just isn't appealing to me.
I think Oris Aquis is better than that...In my opinion.
Hi, the clasp has an on the fly adjustment, it works like the easy link from Rolex. Thank you, bye 👍🏼
Tag Heuer has to be the most underperforming brand. Its a massive brand name with great recognition and great history. If they could get their act together in terms of product, marketing and pricing they could absolutely explode in popularity. It's almost too available too, it's in every small jewellery shop in shopping centres. This is a lovely piece though, always though the design on the divers was on point
What act are they needing to get together with their products? The design, finish and quality is very good. Movements, could be a little higher end I guess, laying with getting rid of the stamped clasps, but that’s all.
Marketing? You are kidding? If anything Tag Heuer have been criticised for over marketing, either way you cannot argue they are top players in this area.
Pricing, I agree with you on that one but they are in keeping with most other luxury watch brands in overcharging.
sounds pretentious. " make this more limited so I want it more"
They actually have started to pull away from small and mediocre jewelry shops, they are turning their focus to their own boutiques and higher end jewelry stores, they also have been producing some stunners lately (Glassbox, Skipper, new Monaco variants), they will become a force to be reckoned with once again.
I saw this online and wasn’t impressed- the dial looked too vibrant. But this video makes it look awesome 👍🏼
I’m a big fan of TAG, and love that they go for a younger clientele and have more fun. I own an Aquaracer 200, but I would say the Aquaracer line for me isn’t the iconic line. The ones which come to kind are the Carrera, Monaco and Formula 1. I like Aquaracers but always feel it’s a line out on a limb abit from the core motor racing lines.
I was ready to buy this watch the moment I held it but stepped back after knowing that it only has 38 hour PR. It's really perfect, it has it's own character but I won't buy any watch these days that don't have at least 50 hours of PR.
Miy binito y con calidad. Aunque deberia llevar un calibre mas moderno por ese precio. Incorpora un Sellita
Sir,
Can u please tell me what’s the first watch in your intro in every video?
Thank you
I think the movement is the let down. 36 hours power reserve is just not good enough these days. Tissot and Hamilton, along with Certina all use that Powermatic 80 movement and Tag should have the resources to compete with them. At that price point they’re also up against Tudor so I think it’s going to be a struggle for them to entice watch enthusiasts to them.
Believe it or not… the powermatic 80 is just a slowed down eta movement that is used in most 36 hour power reserve… beating at much slower rate, hence not as smooth ticking
@@saltypotatoes yes, of course, I forgot about the slower beat rate which is how they managed to get those Swatch movements to 80 hours. Tag H is a big enough company you’d have thought that they could have done more? After all the Oris 400 calibre movement is 5 days!
Agreed, but as I change watches every day, the 28800 bph is a big plus for me.
@@edteach3r it’s not like they don’t already have movements that have 4hz beat rate and 80 hours power reserve. The new glassbox chrono has both, so it’s just lazy of them for using this movement in this watch.
Who cares? If you want to wear the watch, wind and set. If you have several watches, that's part of owning a collection. If it's your everyday watch, who cares? Similar to owning a a Ferrari. It has its issues. You deal with it.
Im wearing a Hamilton khaki expedition 41mm on an aftermarket rubber strap
There is a quick link extender like the one on Rolex on this bracelet i think you missed that.
Prx and tag heuer monaco 😍
No cyclops!❤
Haim Legacy SE is on my wrist
Wonder if this tag has the plastic movement holder as its predecessor model
I got this green dial about 5 months ago for 2500 bucks.
Still think the tribute to 844 is a sleeper as well from TAG.
cool
where is the lume on the bezel ? this cant be used as a dive watch if you cant see the elapsed time
While I don’t own a Tag, and I know about but don’t get the anti-Tag sentiment, I have to say as a brand Tag has some of the most attractive designs in the industry.
On my wrist at the moment, a ‘93 Omega Seamaster 300m, blue wave dial, aluminum bezel insert.
Great review of a beautiful watch but you can get better movements for 1k less. And if you open this movement up you will see tag uses plastic inside and to say that's not ideal is an understatement.Although I love this watch I cant buy a watch with plastic in the movement not at this price.
Britling superocean heritage black 46 mm
So the key selling point of this watch is the "green dial"?? :))
Going after a younger clientele is an initiative of Tag's young CEO, Frederic Arnault.
Ap Royal Oak
“When you think of TAG you think of the Aquaracer…”
Really? Literally two iconic lines in the Carrera and the Monaco before it. (Arguably Heuer but whatever …) I actually own this watch being talked about. Great watch.
Chisholm, what are your thoughts on the king seiko 37mm?
🔥
❤️
Looks like a pack of Newports
I love the PRX.
Wearing a PRX white dial with Gold bezel right now. My fav.
This aquaracer would look good on a rubber strap
This or a 39mm HydroConquest?
This calibre 5 mechanism works great, +3, +4 sec a day. Extremely happy with this watch. I have also longines classic heritage chronograph, longines looks great but works -3 sec a day, not happy with that even its acceptable numbers.
I do not want smaller watches with an 8" wrist.
legend diver>>>>>hydroconquest
Also, you forgot to mention the polished clasp - which is a disaster. Love the watch but the clasp is forever scratched.
The movement and poor power reserve just not good enough at this price point IMO. Nice looking dial for sure, but It's a no thanks for me.
I think gentleman is my favourite Tissot.
You say people want smaller watches, but TAG Heuer ADs tell me customers want 43mm everything. Solargraph is too small, can't sell it....
for £2800 you can get a marinemaster 300 , which is a superior watch imho
Sure; if you like how the Marine Master looks. I don’t in the slightest.
I’d never compare those two watches. Just totally different look and feel.
Longine blows tag out the water.
Tag not even cosc certified and cost so much really not worth
Do Tag HOEyer 😂 still putting the PLASTIC DOUGHNUT 🍩 spacer in their £2000
+ models? 😂😂
While I really like how the Aquaracer line looks, especially with this steel bezel and the green dial, 2.5k with a very lackluster movement makes it a no go unfortunately.
What movement? Do you use this watch? +3 , +4 sec for every 24 hours. Even more expensive watches movements works like sh.t. Like -3,-4 sec a day. I think you have not enough experience to comment on this watch.
Too small for me. A non starter!
How is this Tag £1000 more than Hydroconquest? 100m more water resistance, in-house movement with 70hrs power reserve? Don't think so..
What style is in now ,will return.
Not exactly original.
Marketing marketing marketing.
But mugs fall for it.
REMEMBER BUY WHAT YOU LIKE.NOT WHAT AD WANT YOU TO LIKE.
MIND YOU THEIR ARE ALOT OF SHEEP OUT THEIR.BAAAAAAH.DONT BE A SHEEP BE A GOAT.
Aquaracer using SW movement selling at so high price just not worth it
Tag, the poor man's Hublot
LOL
Hublot is shit
42mm and above is real man watch size.
