Romans 8:15-16 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:/inspiration+Whenever we are in bondage to someone or something, we live in a state of fear. One good example is what happens when people get bound to credit card debt. We get so bound up in our debt that we live in a constant state of fear every time the phone rings. We believe it's one of our debt collectors. Every time a bill comes in, we are afraid we're not going to be able to pay it. Debt is a horrible master. Any kind of slavery breeds fear. A slave is under constant fear and constant alarm, but when we are freed in Christ, that fear goes away. In this passage Paul tells us that we don't have to be slaved to fear because we are not slaves to God. We are adopted to God, by God and with that adoption comes love and affection. Children who are adopted by a parent don't feel fear; they don't feel like slaves. They feel accepted. They feel wanted. They feel loved. God literally has taken us as strangers and brought us into His family. We are not slaves. We become His children even though, by birth we had no claim to Him, He still has taken us in and now we're under his protection and we're under his care and as such we obey him as a child. We can cry out to him as a child cries out to a father, Abba. God is our father above all things. Yes, He's a holy God but He is still our father. Even though our earthly father might be a great and powerful man on this earth, even though he may run huge corporations or be the president of the country, to us he is still "daddy." Paul helps us understand that in this passage. This great and almighty Lord of all creation is our daddy, who loves us and longs to protect us and we do not have to fear any longer once we become one of His children /prayer+ Father, I thank You for making me your child. I am thankful that I can come to You in sincerity just as I would come to my earthly father. I thank You that You accept me for who I am, that you've adopted me as one of Your own and that You love me as a father. Thank you for the love that You show me and adopting me as your family and making me one of Your own. Amen.

Is it under powered compared to the V8’s? Yes. Is it faster than anything I’ve owned up until this point? Also Yes. I think it’s a great first “muscle” car for people who live in northern climates. My wife can get in and drive it no problem and I don’t have to worry about her losing control. It serves a very specific purpose and it does that very well. An awd challenger can be specked out to 40-42 thousand CAD (leather seats, 8.4in screen, upgraded alpine stereo, sunroof). What other daily driver car can you get at that price point with Awd for winter. You can choose between the WRX, Mazda 3 awd, audi a4, bmw 3-4 series base models only and 2-3 years used.
All of these have 2L turbo engines
That 3.6 sounds great with the factory open air intake that dodge sells

Had it for two years so far put aggressive winter tires on it for when I do drive in winter I also put one sand bag in the back to slightly help with a little bit of the traction in the backend. But the most important thing to get for the v6 is ripp supercharger which will bump you up to 400 wheel horsepower and over 360 torque which makes the car a lot more fun.

On top of this the system was originally rated to only around 400 torque (Base 5.7 power levels) so that means it would not survive anything with more power. I had one for a couple years. Reason being is it is a fantastic all year car when you live in areas that get snow. Is it the fastest thing ever? No. I got a best time of 6 seconds flat on the built-in 0-60 timer. But you don't need 485 or 700hp to have a good time and get into speeds that would get you arrested. Hell I can do that with 155hp I have now. No, this car was cool because it was a great cruiser with decent fuel economy, great looks, and the ability to get out of a parking lot in winter. And do AWD donuts in the same parking lot before leaving, if you wanted. Everyone complaining that they should've put the AWD in the Hellcat doesn't understand how expensive that system would be to handle all that torque. Just enjoy the GT for what it is, or buy an RT and snow tires and hope you can keep it pointed in the right direction.

It is big.....and comfortable. I drove in Upper and Lower Michigan snow in the early 80's. In all RWD cars. 81 Capri, 72 Nova, 71 Cutlass, 84 Fiero (yes a mistake but I bought it NEW in 84.) Bottom line - it's a highly capable AWD vehicle that gets 27-28 MPG. I don't have to pick up front or rear end of my car if it went in the ditch (and yes I did) because it helps me STAY OUT of the ditch. Also, I'd rather not pay RT or Hellcat premiums for insurance. I'd seriously consider a HEMI in AWD, but it's not there in Challenger. Don't want an older Charger w/ AWD, and I've owned lots of 5.7 HEMI vehicles - 04 Durango (w/AWD-4WD), 14 RAM 2WD (absolute BS in snow), 06 RAM 1500 4x$. and a 2021 RAM 1500 Bighorn.

We had that pentastar engine in a Ram pickup at work. POS if there ever was one of an engine, that was in the shop for about a quarter of it's life.(Our work vehicle averages 1000,000km a year of driving, so we're turning over trucks every 3 years or so) It was a dog in that standard cab truck which probably weighed as much if not less than this all wheel drive Challenger. But to be fair in my bias, my family history of Chrysler product ownership as a kid was just one POS after another. So much so that I've only owned Japanese brands and every Chrysler product I've driven and it's quality has just reminded me why I never even consider one for any personal vehicle purchase. Our current work truck is a Ram, but the reason it's been solid is because the drivetrain isn't Chrysler; Cummins diesel with an ASIN transmission. So far at 155,000kms and still no issues, vs that pentastar POS that at that point had had it's head off 3 times by that point!

the AWD charger is amazing in the snow so i’m sure the challenger would be similar as well

It truly is. I’ve been in a AWD Charger for 3 years now and live in a very snowy city. A dream to drive in the winter.

You can back door decouple the AWD system by pulling the fuse for it. The same goes for the other FCA products with the same system like the Durango and 300. I can’t imagine it would actually hurt anything since it can roll with RWD full time anyway. I wonder if the TRX is the same way

So coming from experience in both a SXT and a RT the only real difference is the sound. The feel of the pants acceleration is not that noticeable. Also you do get way better gas mileage on the V6, 28 on average vs 20ish. I will say the sound makes a world of difference and that alone is worth any price difference. Now if you can get/afford a Scat that is the absolute way to go.

Got 29-30 mpg in my sxt but that’s on cruise control at 70 driving 50 miles to work and back all highway.

I'd love to see you guys test an rx8 (preferably r3 if youre going to be tracking it at all) as well as a b8.5 audi s5 that's had a stage 1 tune, if tracking the a with and without sport-diff comparison would be very interesting

I just got a Challanger R/T (5.7 hemi) 50th anniversary. I like the muscle car look and I think a muscle car should have a hemi. I love it. I went from Impala 305hp to 372hp. I see other Challanger trims in my future. Love the channels..

Hey the pentastar is a pretty amazing engine for a v6 that makes 305 horsepower and the torque curve on it is amazing for a little overhead cam v6 yeah it's a v6 but if you added two more cylinders you would be saying holy s*** that's a crazy V8 and they actually have pretty good support for superchargers and I think there's a couple turbos and there's a couple of guys who've even done like head work and forged internals and usually I think with the cams all they can do is add duration though there's no cams out there but regrinds but they're still pretty badass for what they are

I have a 2017 Challenger GT AWD, it has made it through four South Dakota winters like a champ. True, it does not have the biggest of engines but if it DID have the bigger engine my insurance rates would be through the roof. My "little" GT has more than enough get up and go to keep me happy for now. For anybody complaining about lack of ability to disable the AWD system you can buy a Tazer from Zautomotive that adds that functionality (and more) for about $300. Some have even installed the Ripp supercharger ($6K) to bump the stock 305 HP up to 480 HP, add a CAI and catback Borla Atak exhaust and you have yourself a pocket rocket on the "cheap" compared to buying from the factory.

Do a Challenger 1320. Traction, big Hemi. It's cheesecake with Oreos AND a large Double-Double with a flavor shot on the side (since it's built in Windsor).
