People seem to think that they are super neato when their car is loud (most of them sound like lawn mowers on crack). I have not modified the exhaust on my scat and the only reason I ever would modify the exhaust is to make it quieter. Driving freeway speeds I have to have my stereo volume at no less than 16 to be able to hear my music. Having conversations with the passenger is not using your inside voice. My girl and I feel like we are practically yelling at each other lol. Anyway, whatever floats people's boat.
5.7 is underrated. I stay in htx & with our traffic. Ur not gonna be able to even USE ur 6.4L scat or hellacat power anyways🤷🏼♂️. 5.7 for me personally was the best choice. V8 power good look & really good gas mileage for a V8
I'm in satx. Picked up a manual 392 a couple months ago and the power really isn't usable at normal speeds. The tires can't handle 1st or 2nd, and struggle in 3rd. It pulls on the highway but I don't need a ticket.

I have this engine in my 2015 Chrysler 300c and my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Never a problem fairly good gas mileage, is quiet, and smooth. My son just bought a new Challenger GT in the same color combination. He just graduated from College in June, got his first full-time job, and bought his dream car. Because of his age, 22 years old, insurance costs were prohibitive with the V-8 Hemi, but he is just as happy with the V-6. I have the 8-speed ZF transmission in both my Chrysler and Jeep without a problem. The bright wheels look so much better than the dirty-looking Black wheels.
Resonator delets are not a good idea. All they really do is cause droning noises at low RPMs when on highways. If you want a better sounding exhaust, that is not the way.
I factory ordered a red Charger RT Hemi AWD and had it for 10 years. It was flawless in that time. If Dodge had offered the Hemi in this Challenger with AWD i would have immediately ordered one! Went to Cadillac afterward.
2022 sxt with rear resonators deleted and one cherry glass pack installed and a K&N air intake….. Sounds amazing 😊amazing!!!!!!!! It’s my daily driver. My summer weekend car is a 2021 c8 z51 !!!!!! But I love my challenger AkA Barney the dinosaur… Helleraisin purple !!!!!!
Hey, I have a 2018 challenger sxt, the exhaust is completely stock and i was wondering if i can contact you because i wanna hear how yours sounds i woudl like mine to be louder as well 😅
I got a 2020 gt, it's great on gas, not loud so it doesn't bother my neighbors, it's still quick, looks sporty, very techy, great on insurance. Overall great car, I just wanted something that could get up to speeds quick but doesn't need a lot of power and with today's inflation I found this vehicle for $19k so definitely worth it. But if you really want speed and one of the 3 muscle car looks but not v8 then mustang ecoboost is faster and has more punch and knockback.
I think some of these reviews are done with challengers that arent sold yet, which is why the yellow borders are still on the front edges. They're on when the vehicle is in transport. It's funny when some believe it's part of the actual product.
I left mine on for a year until I hit something in the road late at night and it ripped one of them off. Remove the other the next day. I think they look good depending on the color contrast of the car vs guards.
The first car I bought myself was a camaro and I enjoyed the interior handles which are like the challenger. However, it was the height that I needed to get adjusted. Camaros are low with a small front window vs challenger which are higher and have huge front view. I prefer the challenger in that aspect but i like the daintiness of the Camaro while driving. It’s like driving a big boat vs. little boat.
You really don't need a powerful honking V8 to have a fun car. I bought a 3.7 V6 2012 Mustang convertible, and it has served well as a daily driver for 11 years. Insurance is cheaper, I've gotten a steady 27MPG, and let's face it how much are you really going to need over 300 horses to get the job done?
Doesn't your 3.7L have over 300hp? Thought I remember those Mustangs making like 305hp or something... More than these V6 Challengers if I remember right.
@@chynacash3138 Ford says 310 with 93, have a mild tune so its a little more then that. The best thing I did was put more rear gear in it the 2:73 it came with enabled it to get 30MPG but it was kind of a dog after70MPH. One piece drive shaft and 4:10 gears really woke it up.
@@chynacash3138 you're right, that 3.7 V6 from ford was the first V6 engine ever to output 300+ horse power. That mustang will definitely do better 0-60 then this challenger:)
the transmission on these is the same one as on many BMW and other manufacturers cars. ZF8 they are the best modern 8 speed. but they sometimes are laggy if theres a Chrysler engineer programming it
Truly feel if these cars came with a tuned exhaust, they would sell even better. As a previous recent owner of a GT, I was impressed w/MPG, but the car was too large/boxy for practical everyday use. Styling was great for price point

that pentastar engine doesnt have alot of problems really. ive worked on alot of cars with it. some have premature valvetrain wear and cooling problems is common with all the plastic parts they use these days. with that said it doesnt effect many considering how many there are out there. its an above average engine considering most everything else out there is riddled with problems also
The v6 or slant 6,straight 6 has been around in all muscle cars. Some just want that sport car look, don't need the power or gas bills. You look for a old car nova, duster ect some have the 6 and are easier to find and buy.You can always toss a 8 in it.Back then a 6 was alot different then a 8.Now in todays world the 6 would beat most older 8s.Although 8 maintain value better, 6 is a good option for some.Me personally had a choice scat or rt.Knew i wanted a 8.I chose the rt.One price was better, not going to race or beat on it.Could have fun with it,Plenty of power with 375 hp.Sounds great, less on gas, insurance and not stolen as much.Plus if i ever get tiered can build it up.
on 0-60 i have 2019 sxt .. that does 0-60 5.1 sec.. the newer sxt models are as fast as the older r/t and hemi cars from 2009 to 2012 . i love my challenger .
the 3.6 V6 has about the same HP as the old school 340 V8. unless you truly know the difference in grills and wheels etc. it is just a Cool looking Challenger going down the road and the average person doesn't know the difference between a hellcat or an SXT. not everybody has a pocket full of gold, so I am happy to own a SXT plus with STP and I really love to 28mph that goes with the looks.

Ill take challenger gt for a westher wise. If you have an emergency and the snow is really heavy, challenger gt can save your life driving through heavy snow
My first dodge was an 05 dodge magnum sxt. Then I sold it for a 05 dodge magnum RT. All my cars since then have been RTs and one 392. My ex bought a GT after I ler her borrow my 14 charger RT max for a month. She had a ford fusion which broke down and spent an extended time period at an auto shop. She only had that GT for a year before trading it in for a scat. My point is that once a person experiences a V8 hemi, they no longer want an sxt or GT.
It's the shape of a Muscle car but it's just a very comfortable regular car. The 5.7L is also IMO the same. Little more power, not a muscle car. 6.4L & Hellcat + is muscle
5.7 is a muscle car 4.8 sec 0-60 is quick and a muscle car...A Muscle car has a performance version V8 engine and the 5.7 is a performance version.. No V6,6 cyl or 4 cyl are muscle cars...Even a Hellcat Charger is NOT a muscle car because it is a 4 door..Only midsize 2 doors with a performance V8 are muscle cars! Example a 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 318 V8 or 383 2 barrel V8 are not muscle cars...Even though the lower compression than the 4bbl 383 2barrel moves the exact same as a 3.6 new Challenger! The muscle version was the high performance 383 Magnum,440 Magnum and 426 Hemi...They ran low 12's to low 13's in the 1/4 mile Get the 426 tuned right they ran high 11's,remember old tests cars had zero traction...185/75/14 inch tires bias ply at that and zero drag strips,if they used a drag strip they were like a parking lot in terms of prep as no chemicals for traction...Even slicks back then had no traction, they were 8 inch wide so a modern minivans 225 radial tire actually has more traction than old slicks of the day!
@@mypronouniswtf5559- Doors have nothing to do with the muscle car equation - a Charger and Challenger are both L-Cars, identical platform with ONLY wheelbase length distinguishing them apart. Muscle cars were mid sized, and full sized from the inception of the genre. Yes a Pony car is distinguished by having a 2+2 seating arrangement and two doors, but a trunk OR hatchback is permissible. Muscle Cars have no such rigid requirement for entry into the class. A car company taking its largest sedan, placing its largest V8 engine under the hood, backed by either a quick shifting automatic or manual transmission, short rear end gearing, along with its largest brake setup, and stiffest suspension would qualify it as a muscle car by any definition- doors be damned. The Charger is as much a muscle car as it’s two door mechanical twin- but let’s be honest- four door cars sell much better than coupes since the 90s. The Challenger only exists because the Magnum, Charger, and 300 made it possible(the Challenger replaced the Magnum in the lineup after all).
Ngl. 5.7 is underrated. Has PLENTY of power for way cheaper than a scat or hellat. Also has the best gas mileage than scat or hellacat while still having V8
You don’t know what you’re talking about. The sxt has 20 inch rims. It also has a spoiler on the rear. It has the same 3.6 pentastar the hood on the sxt was used by the older r/t and scat pac. The GT may have some different options but in reality why pay 10 grand more for a different hood
All Challengers, Mustangs, & Camaros are considered "pony" cars, not "muscle" cars. A mid size 1970 Charger R/T with a 440 is an example of a muscle car.
Funny how a V6 Challenger isnt considered a muscle car. But yet the classic muscle cars of the 60s and early 70s had 6 cylinder engines themselves. You could get a base Camaro or Mustang or Challenger or about any other car with a 6 cylinder. Even the Charger could be had with a 6 cylinder. Chevelle could be had with a 6 cylinder. But yet they're all still considered muscle cars.
@@nem1 Correct they were considered "pony" if they had a 6cylinder. Though there was indeed 68/69 chargers made with the slant 6 straight from factory, only 900+ were built
@@Digital2pulse the pony cars were the smaller models. Mustang, camaro, challenger, firebird etc.. The muscle cars were the Torino, Chevelle, Charger, GTO... If a grown man can't fit comfortably in the back seat, it wasn't a muscle car. I think the confusion comes from the term "American muscle" which just refers to a big V8. Everyone started to consider vettes and pony cars to be muscle since they came with the big motors. They were still sports and pony cars tho
The gt.6 is a perfect car for a beginner and I like it would you like to send your teenager out with a hellcat ,LOL by the way nothing like showing the motor from 10 ft away as you talk on your video.LOL
May b not a true muscle car but there r trim levels for a reason. Not everyone can afford high trim levels but they may want a muscle car look. Personally for the price & hp values i choose the Scat . The main point is that it doesnt affect ur financial situation.✌️
It's not a muscle car to me may be a sports car with a V6 if it had a turbo or a super charger on it then I could consider it more of a sport car and if the numbers in performance was high enough then it could be considered a muscle car
Ain’t no way u hate the mufflers cut off on the car 😂😂😂 I understand a 3.6 engine(v6) sounds very good but it’s better with a little bit of noise for that extra power sound.
Brother, give the car away to someone who will enjoy this beautiful vehicle. I hated listening to you whine like a girl about everything you don't like about the car. I have a v6 and she is my happy place. It's a sports car, it sounds like a station wagon is more your speed. And yes, I love the door handles where there located. Just feel for them or open your eyes to look 😅
Pentastar V6 is garbage, sounds and performs terrible, timing chain, oil filter housing, weak engine block, always leaking oil somewhere, cooling system is garbage, al though most chrysler products have terrible cooling systems. Quit buying V6s, get the hemi.
What I hate most is that when 3 US muscle cars started bringing back to our life, they all appeared in this fat ugly form. No doubt Challenger is looking good in front view and better than other 2 overall, but I can't stand that he is fat in his side look is horribly fat and heavy. They even didn't try to hide these forms with body paint. Well Challenger is going to go away as people say, again. And it seems that late 60s model still is the best-looking Dodge Challenger we have.
As you can see in these comments, some people like the car even without V8 engine:) The car looks like muscle car and people are fine with that. So I'd say it's muscle car by appearance not by tech part:)
Hell no! It starts with the R/T. Muscle cars represent V8 muscle, not a v6 😂 for this price I’d get a less expensive but nicer 2013 Infiniti g37 and destroy this wanna be muscle car 😂

I own a 6.4l hemi v8 wide body TA392 in pitch black and see SXTs and GTs everywhere. And they look just like the v8 narrow body’s. But I can tell which is which since I own one and know what to look for. But most people won’t have a clue. A lot of ppl get the GT for its awd.
awd makes a difference when you put it in Sport mode... just don't turn traction control off 💀
AWD is the reason I bought mine. I love her.
Trash
I'm in satx. Picked up a manual 392 a couple months ago and the power really isn't usable at normal speeds. The tires can't handle 1st or 2nd, and struggle in 3rd. It pulls on the highway but I don't need a ticket.
@@nem1 Yeah I used to think all of this usable power talk was nonsense then went from a 5.7 to a 2024 GT 5.0 and now I definitely agree. Those cars have so much power that you never touch I guess that's what made a lot of the little Japanese cars so fun is you could whip them around at full throttle just about anywhere. These cars you have to make sure there is no police no rain on the road etc.
@@shannonpatrick77 Completely agree and that's what kept me out of the Scat Pack. Our roads are JUST long/wide enough for the 5.7 to really open up and roar. In fact, had a guy in a Go Mango Hellcat come up to me in a Walmart lot and say he wished he never traded his 5.7 because "You just can't do anything with more power around here."
@@zippedmouthgaming5637 Yes I traded my 5.7 for a 24 5.0 and it is fun but kind of a waste really heck I can hardly go half throttle lol first world problems good to have I guess
Got a 2023 gt plus charger myself no complaints whatsoever it's plenty fast to me absolutely love it 😍
It has the door handle there to pay homage to old school cars.
Thank you for sharing your story! Really appreciate it! Indeed this engine is great and the car is very decent
I’m sorry I can’t agree. The black forged srt wheels look amazing. Chrome only looks good on old sport and muscle cars
Thanks for the excellent analysis.
Resonator delets are not a good idea. All they really do is cause droning noises at low RPMs when on highways. If you want a better sounding exhaust, that is not the way.
My Charger GT is a fun daily driver.
I factory ordered a red Charger RT Hemi AWD and had it for 10 years. It was flawless in that time. If Dodge had offered the Hemi in this Challenger with AWD i would have immediately ordered one! Went to Cadillac afterward.
Thank you for sharing your story!
Hey, I have a 2018 challenger sxt, the exhaust is completely stock and i was wondering if i can contact you because i wanna hear how yours sounds i woudl like mine to be louder as well 😅
@@ripwells I’ll put a video up by tomorrow afternoon!!!!

But if you really want speed and one of the 3 muscle car looks but not v8 then mustang ecoboost is faster and has more punch and knockback.
nice choice!
I'll be getting this or the Charger with AWD, since I live in the midwest and our weather changes all the time.
Smart choice!
He ain’t about that all American muscle if he don’t like his car to be loud
I think some of these reviews are done with challengers that arent sold yet, which is why the yellow borders are still on the front edges. They're on when the vehicle is in transport.
It's funny when some believe it's part of the actual product.
This car had quite some miles on it, owner thinks it looks cool with yellow stripes)
I left mine on for a year until I hit something in the road late at night and it ripped one of them off. Remove the other the next day. I think they look good depending on the color contrast of the car vs guards.
they sell the guards on amazon 😂
Yep, you got the point. I used to have 2013 Mustang v6 as well, was pretty good experience for me
Doesn't your 3.7L have over 300hp?
ZF8 they are the best modern 8 speed. but they sometimes are laggy if theres a Chrysler engineer programming it
Having driven one for 4 days recently, I did enjoy it! Not lacking for power and good looks too! So what if it is a V6?
Truly feel if these cars came with a tuned exhaust, they would sell even better. As a previous recent owner of a GT, I was impressed w/MPG, but the car was too large/boxy for practical everyday use. Styling was great for price point
Love my 18gt plus charger people can rip all they want i get nothing but love for my car AWD a must where i live few little mods and cosmetics cars are beautiful 🔥
Ummm guess you never had a v8 . It’s all about the smiles not the miles ! And I love the noise ! I sit and listen to my exhaust note . No radio .
I actually like v8)
As if you have a choice not to listen to it. It's cool and all but on road trips I want music. And for me to have to turn my shit up to like 20 just to hear it is kind of annoying.

that pentastar engine doesnt have alot of problems really. ive worked on alot of cars with it. some have premature valvetrain wear and cooling problems is common with all the plastic parts they use these days. with that said it doesnt effect many considering how many there are out there. its an above average engine considering most everything else out there is riddled with problems also
Gonna go buy one!
Good choice brother!
It's a good cruisin car looks good also.
I agree the look is just amazing, I love it!
Is Good HP for All people
On 80s and 90s
Cadillac with V8
With less 300hp
This car is Great for this new era
on 0-60 i have 2019 sxt .. that does 0-60 5.1 sec.. the newer sxt models are as fast as the older r/t and hemi cars from 2009 to 2012 . i love my challenger .
the 3.6 V6 has about the same HP as the old school 340 V8. unless you truly know the difference in grills and wheels etc. it is just a Cool looking Challenger going down the road and the average person doesn't know the difference between a hellcat or an SXT. not everybody has a pocket full of gold, so I am happy to own a SXT plus with STP and I really love to 28mph that goes with the looks.
the AWD in Sport mode is also worth it
Hi, great video! What's the application you have used to measure 0-60 acceleration and how do you connect it to the car?
Hey, thanks for the comment. The device is called dragy, it's a very accurate device that connects to GPS. It comes with app on your phone, where you can see all the details and keep record of all your measurements.
0-60 and timer is built into the dash
Thank you for sharing!
Most of the old school muscle cars had a v6 option. some Mustangs were even 4 cylinders
Where did you get those interior customizations? I'm talking about all of those red rings around the buttons and on the doors.
Amazon has tons of Dodge accessories and good prices.
It's the shape of a Muscle car but it's just a very comfortable regular car. The 5.7L is also IMO the same. Little more power, not a muscle car.
6.4L & Hellcat + is muscle
Yeah, srt hellcat and demon are beasts, but pricing…
@@mypronouniswtf5559 yep, v8 and 2doors. That’s my understanding of muscle car too. Same frame on V6, so people would still can it muscle car:)
Depends on the year and extra stuff, if it has the black top package it gets the 20 inch wheels and leather seats
Oh and take those stupid shipping guards off that thing
have to tell the owner:)
I ain’t know the GT trim had the paddle shifters on back of steering wheel, did u get the GT plus last call version ?

All Challengers, Mustangs, & Camaros are considered "pony" cars, not "muscle" cars. A mid size 1970 Charger R/T with a 440 is an example of a muscle car.
@@johnmcmullen456 thank you for a thorough reply!

You are dreaming, no way what you said is true
The Grand National is the only V6 muscle car I can think of. A V6 challenger or mustang wasn't considered a muscle car in the 60s
And those v8’s had less hp too
Did you remember to mention the AWD?
The gt.6 is a perfect car for a beginner and I like it would you like to send your teenager out with a hellcat ,LOL by the way nothing like showing the motor from 10 ft away as you talk on your video.LOL

What I hate most is that when 3 US muscle cars started bringing back to our life, they all appeared in this fat ugly form.
