    Let me know what do you think about the V6 challenger? Would you take this over the SXT? Do you own one or are you thinking about buying one?

    I've owned a base model r/t and a optioned GT before both had there pro's and cons but I liked em both very much ... Winter in the GT was so much easier to deal with lol ty for taking the time to review and post up.

    I fell in love with this car in 2009 when I saw it, and as a full-time single dad, I thought it was the smart move to just get the V6 challenger (save the extra R/T money for my daughter). I kept my baby, going the entire time, and just finally lost my challenger in an accident with some guy that should not have been on the road.
    It’s now time for me to buy a new car, and I keep gravitating to the Challenger. I love the way the hemi feels, but I’m still that dad that’s going to drive it every day and not looking to go Vin Diesel on someone.

      @@bkpa4455 GT will have all wheel drive whereas the SXT will not. Both have different options like heated/cooled seats or sunroof as an option as well as fabric or leather seats. So it depends on what you’re looking for exactly. But as an OH driver, I’d recommend the GT for an all season vehicle.

    I have a 2018 SXT for my daily driver and a 2023 Scat Pack for my weekend fun. Personally I feel that the V6 is a great engine if you want lower insurance rates and decent fuel economy. It’s a cool car regardless of the engine size👍🏾

    I own a 2023 Charger GT. It's rated with a little bit less power than the Challenger at an even 300 hp and 264 ft lbs of torque. It'll do 14.8 seconds at about 95 mph in the 1/4 mile and top out at a computer limited 132 mph for top speed. This hardly makes it slow. Slow is my 1994 Buick beater/daily driver with a 3.8 V6 , 170 hp and 220 ft lbs of torque. It did a 16.49 in the 1/4 mile @83 mph through the traps and tops out at 110 mph. Even that car has enough oomph for a daily driver.

    I have a 2018 charger rt. 0-60 in 5 seconds. So 6.5 seconds for the v6 challenger isn't too bad, and it gets like 5 more mpg . Might trade down to the V6 as I just use the car as a daily driver and only getting 18mpg average kinda sucks.

    • @takforce06
      @takforce06 4 месяца назад

      Big difference is on the highway rolls vs mpg. R/T is way faster on the highway. v6 is significantly better on mpg.

      It's not just the weather where the gt has the advantage, but most especially with the savings on gas mileage. Those V8s are voracious gas guzzlers.

    Hopefully you have traded that car in for a V8 by now. You obviously don't like the V6. Everyone knows the V6 is no V8, but their are people who do prefer the V6, and those who prefer the V8. I am retired, and the Dodge Challenger has been my dream car for many years. All my life I have had 4WD's and I now live in an area where we don't get tons of snow. A week ago I just purchased a 2023 Last Call Dodge Challenger GT RWD in Plum Crazy because this is what I wanted. The 3.6 V6 is a reliable engine and it's in a body style I absolutely love. I have no need for a V8, I am not going to race it, the V6 doesn't raise the car insurance, and it gets good gas mileage, unlike the V8. The Dealerships in my area had one 2023 SRT Hellcat widebody jailbreak in red for $113,000. 00 ( I am not paying that much for a car), two GT's in AWD in Black and Grey, and two GTs RWD in Grey and Plum Crazy. I choose the Plum Crazy because I love the color and it's not a common color. Everyone on the street has a white, black or grey car or truck, Those colors have become boring to me. Anyway I watched your video and wanted to say that I am perfectly happy with the V6 and it's exactly what I want.

    If Dodge would have made a 5.7 Hemi with AWD, they would have sold a million of them. I would be one of them. Here in SnowLand, AWD is necessary, but I couldn't bring myself to invest in something underpowered. Dammit.

    • @seizethespeed
      @seizethespeed  Год назад +2

      Agreed, I think they should’ve made atleast one performance version with AWD. If you look hard enough u can find AWD hemi chargers sometimes as ex police vehicles tho!

    V6 is fast enough compared to a v8 yes its slow I have hade both a v6 and v8 i average 20 in the city on the v6 and 14 in the v8. The v6 with minor mods is good enough as long ass you dont want to race anyone and in my challengers i have had 5 grown adults lol wouldn't go on a road trip but was enough to go from my house to the bar lol
