Fun fact about the sunroof costing $10k. The reason dodge did it is because they REALLY didn’t want people getting a sunroof for weight and center of gravity purposes, but knew some buyers wouldn’t get one without it. In addition, the wheels on the demon are so expensive that dodge sells a low-optioned demon at a loss. To solve both issues, they made a super expensive sunroof that would pay for the wheels on ~3-4 non-sunroofed demons.
As insane as this is more manufacturers should do stuff like it. There are a few nut jobs like me that'd be willing to pay stupid 5 figure money for a special option like a stick shift in an otherwise normal-ish priced car. Or fully retractable rear/side windows. I'd consider something stupid like that just to have the cool/unique overpriced feature, HOWEVER: Imagine being ready to fork over ~5x the base model price for 4-digit HP example of one of the most extreme/collectible/stupid/pointless/wonderful vehicles of the century, then seeing it didn't have a f-ing SUNROOF and being like "in that case, I'll pass." A SUNROOF ffs... I owned a Chevy SSR when I was 19 which ought to be a DSM clinical condition (granted, all black 5% tint w/ satin running boards + chrome stock wheels)... I believe the little metal Demons in the personalized case are metal whiskey stones. You put them in the freezer to get them cold. Once you're ready to have a glass of your liquor of choice, you put those in the glass rather than add ice. Because if you add ice, it will dilute your drink as it melts.
As a Dodge HQ employee, I can tell you those rear fenders are not wider than 2018 Demons. They are carry-over from all Challenger widebodies. Colors on the SRT caliper are not yellow but rather green. It has nothing to do with corn. Anyone else cringe at his elbow denting the hood? Literally seen that surface flex every time he moves

At 100k it loses its purpose of "Cheap speed" IMO. I bought my Charger Hellcat brand new in 2016 for 65k CAD (~47k USD). Still going strong, and didn't empty my pockets too much!

Here’s a sense of perspective for why this video was so late. I work at a dealer, won’t say where. I know we definitely had one come in for sale, maybe 2 or 3 just where I’m at. These cars were so sought after that we weren’t allowed to take pictures of them for fear of them being leaked on the internet and being traced back to us. We didn’t want people to know that we had these cars even within the area. They’re such high theft targets. It’s not like they’re running different anti theft systems than normal hellcats and even v6 cars. Now all the owners have them and hopefully they keep them in garages and are only taken to the track. But Doug had to find an owner and I’m sure everyone just wanted their new car to be safe. Ultimately this owner Doug found is an old friend who has trust in Doug. Badass car, I hope he stays safe and enjoys it

I personally know TWO owners of these Demon 170s... Both specced nearly identical in the deep red. One of them got his about a week earlier than the other and showed up to our Cars and Coffee. I didn't even know these were released at the time, let alone that I knew two of the guys who bought them. Seemed to be a very hush hush type of thing for sure.
The easiest way to tell the difference is the non flared front fenders vs the original demon flared front fenders.. that would be much easier then looking close at a badge. How was this missed??? lol that is also the biggest clue no other challenger comes with only rear flares.
I already dont trust the summer versions on my i30N that much (the compound feels stiff and "dry" after just 2 years and 20 thousand km) and this guy put the all season version on a 1000hp RWD.

They put a ton of thought into the accessories. I love that. The latches on the box - hammers from what looks like old double barrel shotguns -or- meant to resemble demon horns. The glasses have the texture that the supercharger has. Because of course. The biggest thing - it's a set for ALCOHOL INJECTION. Unsurprisingly - whiskey is usually made with .. corn.

I believe the little metal Demons in the personalized case are metal whiskey stones. You put them in the freezer to get them cold. Once you're ready to have a glass of your liquor of choice, you put those in the glass rather than add ice. Because if you add ice, it will dilute your drink as it melts.

At 100k it loses its purpose of "Cheap speed" IMO. I bought my Charger Hellcat brand new in 2016 for 65k CAD (~47k USD). Still going strong, and didn't empty my pockets too much!
I mean that was 2016 tho and you got lucky. New hellcats are all 60-75k depending on trim. Plus where else can you get 1000hp bone stock for 100k? Maybe a ghey EV😂

Here’s a sense of perspective for why this video was so late. I work at a dealer, won’t say where. I know we definitely had one come in for sale, maybe 2 or 3 just where I’m at. These cars were so sought after that we weren’t allowed to take pictures of them for fear of them being leaked on the internet and being traced back to us. We didn’t want people to know that we had these cars even within the area. They’re such high theft targets. It’s not like they’re running different anti theft systems than normal hellcats and even v6 cars. Now all the owners have them and hopefully they keep them in garages and are only taken to the track. But Doug had to find an owner and I’m sure everyone just wanted their new car to be safe. Ultimately this owner Doug found is an old friend who has trust in Doug. Badass car, I hope he stays safe and enjoys it

I do know that it’s running the same basic anti theft systems as every modern Chrysler vehicle over the last 10 years that isn’t directly based on a Fiat. I mean it’s obvious. I personally know TWO owners of these Demon 170s... Both specced nearly identical in the deep red. One of them got his about a week earlier than the other and showed up to our Cars and Coffee. I didn't even know these were released at the time, let alone that I knew two of the guys who bought them. Seemed to be a very hush hush type of thing for sure.
