Nice to see you reviewing another viper! Growing up in the late 90s/00s they were always some of my favorite performance cars, and I particularly loved the 3rd generation. I think it's the best looking out of all of them.
I absolutely love the Viper. I will never forget when my uncle took me to Chrysler dealership in Calgary back in the early 90’s and they had a red Viper in the showroom. The dealership was closed at the time but the car was right by the front glass. I was in absolute awe of the thing. The hood was open, revealing that massive engine. Because of the red stripe and how it's designed and placed, this must be the most American VEHICLE ever made!.. Even more American than any F-150 ever!!
The Viper is the most pure car I’ve ever driven. No T/C, no ABS, and crazy grunt torque. Every turn is sideways. Straight acceleration starts with wheel spin and quickly transitions to head slamming traction. 89 miles on a tank of fuel….
Vipers do indeed have abs. They added abs in the last few years of the gen 2. My 02’ gen 2 has abs and I’m very thankful it. My friends 97’ did not have abs and the fronts would lock up because of the poor caliper sizing.

Immense torque at low revs and linear power delivery from the engine..Fully independent suspension, massive brakes and tires (for the time).. proper weight-saving throughout the car.. Original Gen 1 didn't even have Air con??
This is my second favorite car, just behind the Oreca Viper GTS-R ex-Justin Bell. That car got me into cars all the way back before I could even talk, and every single Viper model and edition holds a special place in my heart. My first word was car. Not mom, not dad, but CAR. And shortly after, it was VIPER. My parents can attest as well. I love this car and everything it stands for. As much as I dislike Stellantis, FCA, etc., the Viper will always have a place in my heart.
We can count on you to use a dead meme and to make a stupid comment trying desperately to be relevant and humorous. Yet again, you have failed miserably. Just go away.
Fun fact, Doug is incorrect about the beginning of common proximity keys. 2007+ Infiniti G35's, M's etc all have a proximity fob with push button start. Even the 2003-06 G's had proximity fobs, just needed starter barrels that drivers turned as they would a key.
As far as the "Famous Viper Skip-Shift" goes.... how famous is it exactly? Cause early 2000's Pontiac Trans-Am's with a manual transmission have it, too.
I remember when I was 11 years old and saw that this car was going to be in NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, and I thought it was the coolest car ever. Then 14 years later, I saw one in person in my town and I still feel that same level of excitement today. It's such an awesome car.

yeah its probably because you can go like 60 in first gear
Love vipers I own a Gen 1! These are true race cars for the street. Lift one on a lift and look how the car is built it's a race car..
I built a 1:24 model of an RT/10 painted yellow with black/tan interior :).. and yeah, the engine is almost literally in the middle of the car...incredible design. Immense torque at low revs and linear power delivery from the engine..Fully independent suspension, massive brakes and tires (for the time).. proper weight-saving throughout the car.. Original Gen 1 didn't even have Air con??
i have a 2008 viper tattoo on my leg!! i love this car! ever since i seen the 96 viper gts.. i was hooked!
Finally!!!!!! Waited a long time for this video. I remember just a few years ago these were going for $100k. Not any more!
DOUG!!! START FILMING OUTSIDE AGAIN!!!!!
I remember Randy Pobst taking the 2016 version around Laguna Secs and just being mesmerized by it.
The Viper was a BADA$$ car🔥 back then and still is!!!!!!
This is truly one of the best american cars of all time.
Manual only. big engine, beautiful design.
my all time favorite car
Hardcore?? Did Doug learn a new word? 😂😂😂
Those wheels were also on the 2005 Viper copperhead, they were just polished and cleared. They were called sidewinders
Viper is the most underrated sports car. IMO leagues above Corvette.
I absolutely love how the solution to the exhaust pipe burning calves problem was "just don't".
Doug is the kinda guy people see waiting at the lights in a Dodge Viper ACR, waving his hands around and seemingly talking to himself.
We can count on you to use a dead meme and to make a stupid comment trying desperately to be relevant and humorous. Yet again, you have failed miserably. Just go away.
this made me laugh a lot harder than it shouldve
Fun fact, Doug is incorrect about the beginning of common proximity keys. 2007+ Infiniti G35's, M's etc all have a proximity fob with push button start. Even the 2003-06 G's had proximity fobs, just needed starter barrels that drivers turned as they would a key.
God. I love this car.
As far as the "Famous Viper Skip-Shift" goes.... how famous is it exactly? Cause early 2000's Pontiac Trans-Am's with a manual transmission have it, too.
Oh it's for sale? Hold on, Let me check my bank account...
Hmm, do you have any viper gum for sale? Cause that's about what I can afford...
"what is this car? VIPER" was a trip down memory lane
Doug the type of guy to describe a car like both a criminal and an adult movie.
The 2nd-gen GTS (and all its variants) is still the greatest Viper, but god the 3rd-gen ACR hits close. I love the white/black model.
Love your style, it's like a burst of creativity in every video!
🤡
le bot de la t!t
Always loved the red/black color scheme on this special car. It just screams track day
i remember playing this in gran turismo, the engine sound was insane
Top speed runs
I remember when I was 11 years old and saw that this car was going to be in NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, and I thought it was the coolest car ever. Then 14 years later, I saw one in person in my town and I still feel that same level of excitement today. It's such an awesome car.
Dougs the type of guy to rev a V10 to 2,500rpm because he dosent want to upset his neighbors
Dead meme. Stupid comment. Grow up
I cannot stop laughing at “get ready to shift” 😂. Doug’s tough guy voice is one of his quirks and features.
The outside hood access is not quirky, just old-fashioned. Common feature on cars before you were born Doug.
I love the old review throwback. “What is this car? Viperr. What is this car?? VIPPERRRRRRR”
Doug is the kind of guy who'd warm up some lunch with the Viper side exhaust
Dead meme. Not humorous or relevant. Unoriginal.
@@ozarkliving7263 THISSSSSSS reply sucks
I met a guy who turned his ACR into a SVRA race car. It’s a bright green car that’s loud! It sounds pretty good if k may say so myself.
Doug the kind of guy who dresses up as a fairy for trick or treating
4/10
I could see that 😂😂😂
Yet another stupid comment from the king of the village idiots, James Zancone
I give this "doug the kind of of guy". A doug score of 2/10
The Gen 4 ❤❤❤❤ god I miss the Viper!! Generation 4 is my favorite and then 5th Generation!!
The Fifth Generation front end really nailed the wide head of a snake!!
17 seconds ago is crazy
My screen still says no views
This car will always and forever be my favorite car. Its such a monster! It deserves to return ngl
19:30 Dougs face lol
My personal favorite generation of Viper. Just looks great in any color and any trim
One of my buddy's dad's had one of these. I think he sold it in 2014. I bet he wishes he held on to it now. Such a blast to drive. Insane car.
The difference in Doug's opinion of the logo lighting up and that of Clarkson and May is awesome.
What a menace with all those letters after the name. Nice paint option too.
