Stock bottom end with twin-turbos hits over 2k HP reliable. Look up Kratos and Juggernaut. Top of the food chain with no disputes on that fact. You guys did it justice. Well done.
@@wendigo6667 I've driven an ACR E extensively on the track and a GT2RS once at Thunderhill 5 mile. There is no match for the aero on the Viper even though the GT2 has better acceleration with its 700hp and less aero. As for a GT3, I pass them regularly in the ACR at the track, even with very accomplished drivers.
It was explained to me before that the Early Vipers were capable of amazing track times. It just took a professional driver to get them. The rear end always wanted to come out. They told me it was just not a very good beginner car on the track. While I wouldn't call it beginner friendly, the ACR is definitely in a league of it's own.

Viper ACR's failure in sales cannot be justified. It deserves so much more credit. This was the best collectible modern American muscle. Whoever chose to go with R8 or Aston Martin over this made a poor choice.
Depends. R8 and whatever Aston Martis has to offer, especially the vantage lineup, is a supercar that's cool to live with. The Viper, however, is an amazing car to die with.

Saw one of these in person literally hours before this video dropped, last Thursday. It was just casually parked in a small out of the way shopping center at night... as i was getting out of my car the massively huge wing caught my eye as it was poking over the bushes next to where it was parked. I was like wait what is that... walk over and bam it’s a Viper ACR sitting there all alone, white with big black center stripe and smaller red stripe, with most of the businesses there closed and no one around. I stare checking it out and snap a couple pics to friends as I was shocked and amused by the randomness of seeing it there. Get home, open youtube and bam this video is first on my feed and uploaded only an hour ago... all really eerie haha (yeah finally watching this now a week later, I’m ready)
Same here. Growing up as a teen in the 90's and a fan of cars, the Viper was always my favorite. I loved the power, the look, the speed, and the name. Over time it started to fall out of favor for other cars, especially when they released the 3rd and 4th gen SRT Viper. I didn't care for that body style. However, once they released the 5th gen and I saw the ACR Viper, I was in love again. Now it had power, looks, speed, name, and handling. See that thing set lap records was amazing. I'll always love the Viper.

The concept of the car was originally V8 until Shelby said "f*ck it add 2 more cylinders". So it took 2 more cylinder to haul even more ass than production supercars around the world. Maybe not that hurt, but still gonna leave a mark for a while after automobile electricfication.
@@donnycorn3086 As cool as that story sounds, it couldn't be farther from the truth. In reality, Shelby *really* wanted this car to be a V8, in order to be a true successor to the Cobra. However, back in the 90's, the only V8 that Chrysler was producing was the Magnum V8 for the trucks, and those were horrible on power. The only engine that made decent power was the Magnum V10, so they chose it to be the base for the Viper V10.
My all time favorite was the Viper's running the steel engine blocks from the related Ram pickup and essentially becoming the least expensive to race setups in ages. What an epic setup. @@Erafune You're ignorant to real engine dynamics as you've clearly never built anything in your life. Or if you did, it was simple bolt--on's. The V10 in the Viper isn't heavy at all. It is very light and smaller than a HEMI. The engine is also front-mid-engine. Something else not mentioned in this video. The V10 is extremely durable and well made. Stock bottom end with twin-turbos hits over 2k HP reliable. Look up Kratos and Juggernaut. Top of the food chain with no disputes on that fact. The main point here is that the V10 powercurve and massive torque allows for it to fully utilize the down force and massively wide rear tires. As for a GT3, I pass them regularly in the ACR at the track, even with very accomplished drivers.
The chemistry between these guys and cars🤩🔥
It was explained to me before that the Early Vipers were capable of amazing track times. It just took a professional driver to get them. The rear end always wanted to come out. Depends. R8 and whatever Aston Martis has to offer, especially the vantage lineup, is a supercar that's cool to live with. The Viper, however, is an amazing car to die with.
@@donnycorn3086 also, r8 got the lambo v10. people can argue all they want, they will be quiet when they hear it

Since the Viper first came out I have been in love and the ACR makes parts of me extremely happy. Thank you for the blue pill this morning.

"Love to eat V8s" that number plate is badass
The concept of the car was originally V8 until Shelby said "f*ck it add 2 more cylinders". So it took 2 more cylinder to haul even more ass than production supercars around the world. Maybe not that hurt, but still gonna leave a mark for a while after automobile electricfication.
@@donnycorn3086 As cool as that story sounds, it couldn't be farther from the truth. In reality, Shelby *really* wanted this car to be a V8, in order to be a true successor to the Cobra.
