    I have a 2019 Scat pack and have had zero problems with it. I love driving the car and if I keep my foot out of it I get 21-20 mpg. Not great for most cars these days but I don’t care.

    • @BrianJNelson
      @BrianJNelson 2 года назад +3

      I've had mine for about 3 weeks and I'm down below 13 MPG. I've been trying not to hot-foot it to bring it back up again. I find that city driving ends up lower than highway driving. When I can maintain 45-50 for a bit it goes back up.
      Running your car in park with the AC on seems to bring this down as well, so keep that in mind.

      Finally got my 2021 Scat Pack Indigo Blue 6 speed. Love it! Average milage is 19.7 mixed highway/suburb. Gas guzzler tax was still worth getting a stick! I bought a 2019 Challenger Widebody Scatpack and absolutely fell in love with the car. I've driven many cars and there's definitely something special about these mopars. Just before arriving home, I find myself either taking the long way or going around the block once more to open her up one last time. Car looks so aggressive just sitting that it's hard to fight the temptation of going for another drive haha if you're contemplating getting one DO IT! I don't think I could ever part ways with this one. #Moparornocar

    I have the GT AWD - I live in Michigan. I can tell you this car is plenty fast. AND - if you really want to show off, drive a challenger in the winter snow...you'll get more looks than than any other muscle car on the road at any time of the year!! I've had a BMW 550i which was really nice... but the Challenger is my favorite car I've ever owned.

    • @bobbya8622

      That 305 HP V6 has a very nice growl inside the car when you put your foot down on the “go pedal.” Love that sound! The 8 speed automatic mates well with the V6 and helps to get the most out of the engine in just about any speed you are traveling at. Add in very good gas mileage for a car with decent performance, along with great looks, a great ride and handling and all these make the Challenger GT a fun car to drive.

    • @iron-brigade
      @iron-brigade 2 года назад +1

      @@Beck248 you're not going to want to push through deep snow like a lifted truck - but the handling will be as good. I have the Continental Extremecontact tires and 1) I'm passing most people in the snow, and 2) I drove from Indianapolis to my house after a motocross event in a snow storm with no issues. The beautiful thing about this car is that you can do 100mph at about 19mpg and still drive it in the snow. The ONLY issue I have is that I have deep pocket after-market 20" wheels and in powder the snow will pack in the wheels and make them out of balance; so I have to stop and pull the snow out - but only in deep powder.

    I bought my 16' SP 14 months ago and absolutely enjoy it every day. We have 2 SUV that we've taken on many road trips and decided to take 'Blue' to STL and Tulsa, 2 different trips, from the Twin Cities and the only issue we had was being too comfortable on the first trip. We were 3 hrs into the trip and realized we hadn't pulled over, even for a piss break. Being 50 and not getting out of the car for 3 hrs was hectic on the back and joints. Average cruising speed of 80 and even at those speeds the ride is so smooth and comfortable. This was my first MoPar purchase and glad that I made it. Our next SUV purchase will be a track/trailhawk.

    Very good presentation. If I were to have written the part about the styling I would have said pretty much the same thing. This is one of the biggest reasons why I love the Challenger - it still looks like a Challenger since first going on sale in 2008. I have said a Porsche 911 is unmistakable no matter which year you are looking at. The same is true for the Challenger. I am so happy Dodge resisted the Ford approach. They resurrected the iconic original Mustang look in 2005, and less than five years later the car already started taking on new shapes and angles that once again repeats the changing body lines starting in 1971 that eventually made it look nothing like the original.

    Chally owner here and have to share a little issue that’s only for us challenger owners, there will be an issue with your driver or passenger window on the 2015-17 models, the window will have a door sensor thinking that it’s being unlocked but there’s nobody around, and it’ll do it at the most random times, dealership will charge you big money for it, best bet buy the part at the dealership or after market store and have another shop install it because the dealership as you should all know are too expensive, but yeah just a heads up but overall I love my Chally and it’s always best to go with a v8 for the sound nothing beats it when you turn it on, no hate on v6 folks because I had a v6 too but a v8 will always do it for me.

    Spent 2 years researching the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger...before deciding to purchase a new 2015 392 Scat Pac/Shaker, once it became available for order/delivery. For me, it "checked all my boxes"...and still does to this day. Mine has just over 100,000 miles, and not a single "commuter" mile on her. Last time to Bakersfield for the 2019 March Meet, she averaged 28 mpg on the trip there (and yes, on occasion, I'm not shy about showing her nearly 500 horsepower). Sitting at the local mall just yesterday, I had 4 people stop by to comment on how beautiful she looks. Color me "a satisfied customer" 😎

    Had a 2018 Scat Shaker, just traded it in for the 2021 Hellcat Redeye Widebody because 485 HP just isnt enough!!! These cars are a blast to drive. I dont care about the car basically looking the same inside and out since '08 or flimsy interior pieces or crappy gas mileage or being a sailboat on roller skates or what ever some one has an issue about with the car. That is not the reason why you buy one of these. I am old school and that is what the Challenger represents. Takes me back when I was in my late teens early 20's when you and your buddies were tearing apart motors in the driveway and constantly monkeying around with your cars with no money then taking them out to the strip.

Would recommend a Challenger for sure if you're looking for one. Especially if you are a tall individual, I personally sat in a Mustang and a Camaro those cars are pretty small imo, Challenger was the best, just godly amount of space feels like you can really finally relax.

      I had a GT before too, and it was a great car. I had expected more issues with it but none. Cadillac I had had a bunch of infotainment issues and some suspension problems. VW mom had was a nightmare. Even my old Camaro (14) had some cosmetic and paint issues). The Challie didnt. And you know where all the buttons are when you finally move up to a Scat Pack or Hellcat. I would say if you can, get one before theyre gone. The traction you get from the bigger tires more than make up for the awd, though, you probably drive it in the winter like I did lol

Previously owned 2 porsches 928 GTS & 1S4, plus 2 Mercedes 190-2.3 16V as well as a BMW 528i. Yes I'm an oldschool car guy and feel this the best of them all by far ;-)

I like my GT350 Super Charged Voodoo Queen. I also have a 50th Anniversary Super Snake. Both Mustangs are 6spd and I like the automatic in the Challengers for just cruising. No Camaro, I get claustrophobic in them.

    To be completely fair, the airbag recall applied to a slew of cars, not just the Challenger. That said, I am the proud owner of a 2019 Challenger 1320, the Demon Lite version of the Scat Pack. This is my 2nd Challenger, I traded in a Shaker Scat Pack for the 1320. Neither of my Challengers offered my any troubles. I can't rave enough about the car. In fact, I can safely say my next car will also be a Challenger as I plan to upgrade to a Redeye Super Stock. Listen to the loyal owners of these cars. We LOVE our Challengers.

    I'm 68 and last year I bought a 2019 392 485HP Scat Pack in Indigo Blue, Love the Harmon Kardon 18 speaker stereo, the big vented/heated seats, the 8-inch backup monitor/camera and monitors, cross-path alert system, the power sunroof, the Drive modes, the adaptive cruise control, the 8-speed auto transmission with manual and paddle shifter is sweet. But, what I love the most is the motor, it's awesome! What I don't like is the expensive/really hard to find Pennzoil 0-40 Ultra Platinum motor oil that Dodge want's you to use
    I don't race my Challenger, I use it as a big comfortable powerful touring car like the cars of the late '60's, the GTO's, the Chevelle SS's, the Pontiac Grand Prix's, and Thunderbirds, the cars old men used to drive. Stupid Chevy and Ford don't make em anymore.

    Yeah when I bought my SRT8, I didn't think to ask them about recalls that might be on it and discovered that there was one that had not been addressed with the side curtain airbag on the passenger side. But had no issues at all getting it fixed, I just contacted my local Dodge dealer and got it right into repair it without any problems. It is a 2010 SRT8 and is a blast to drive her, she is not stock and runs very close to the same performance numbers as new 392s or 5.0 GTs etc and is surprisingly quick for basic bolt ons with a diablo tune and is naturally aspirated. Also replaced the heavy stock rims with 17" racing wheels, and made a huge difference alone

    I just purchased a 2021 SRT Scat Pack 392 Widebody Challenger T/A version in Gold Rush. I am very happy with the car. It only had 3000 miles and the previous owner ordered it with features that make it sound good inside and out and look good. Harmon Kardon system with an amp and a spare tire delete that allows the subwoofer to be installed in the trunk. And a stripe delete that let's the profile of the car look clean without that matte black T/A stripe running down both sides of the car. The Brembo brakes and instead of the standard chrome rectangular exhaust ports it has black chrome quad pipes. So there are two round exhaust pipes in each bumper cutout where one rectangular one would sit. It looks and sounds mean.

    Love my 2020 R/T BUT.......read the fine print before springing for the extended warranty. My manual gearbox lost 5th and 6th at 5000 miles and I had to fight for a rental or loaner. Even if you breakdown as soon as you leave the lot, Dodge is all, "Read what you signed, puny human!"

    I own a 2013 Mustang GT, but a very good friend of mine owns a Challenger Scat Pack which he loves, and I have rented various Challengers over the years and test-driven others. They're great cars; if my finances permitted, I would buy one tomorrow. If it wasn't for the fact that I really like my 2013 Mustang GT, I'd already own a Challenger. They're very appealing from the standpoint that they are large-enough to be roomy inside, and suitable for travel. The Camaro may burn up the track, but good luck seeing out of one, especially through that ridiculous rear window. And talk about ugly! So, high marks for Dodge for keeping the Challenger a muscle car, and an iconic one at that. Well-done.
    Maybe a Challenger owner in the mood to do a favor will educate me and suggest which models and years are the most-desirable.

    I have a 2021 scat pack challenger, I’m getting 18.2 miles to the gallon and I do hit on it several times a day. I think that’s pretty damn good gas mileage for a car that has 485 hp. The only problem that I have with my challenger so far is the headliner is sagging behind the sunroof.
    The dealership is still looking into it with the manufacture, but I took it to a headliner place and for $50 the urethane glued it and so far so good

    I just ordered an RT Challenger yesterday. Dunno when i'll get it since they need to build it first. Blacktop package, cold weather package, performance package, and yes it will be my daily. Even in winter. I already drive a G8 so I know how to handle strong RWD in the snow so thats not a deal breaker for me. I just want something new that isn't constantly on life support, and I fell in love with the Challenger when a friend and I drove her RT from Waterloo to Nova Scotia.
