Thanks for this and the previous video. I appreciate and can relate to the cluster of improvements we tend to make, and the challenge of parsing out the results. Like other things I'm adding, eg red light therapy for my eyes (using the only devices so far assessed for safety), I tend to make my ultimate decisions based mostly on safety, and then see if it seems to have any positive effects for me. A placebo effect is still an effect! Anyway, I appreciate having the informed opinions of medical professionals like yourself.
There's a Dr Josef, psychologist on you tube who has some really good uploads about Ketamine.... and quite a few uploads on the importance of taking 6 months, to 2 years to taper off benzos and other meds.. @Romano_532
I am taking the capsules with just lion's mane, as I am negatively reactive to so many things. For awhile my brain function seemed to clear and become more efficient than it has been for a few years. But now it has "refogged." It maybe due to separate issues I am dealing with so hard to tell. (Heart rhythm, immune reactions. ) I really appreciate your advice.
I adore that creamer, sadly the one available near me has some coconut sugar in it. And I am on a sugar fast. He has a powdered version of his mushrooms alone, a mushroom combination you can mix into your coffee sans sugar along with coffee with the mushrooms mixed in, but all I believe contain Rishi and Mitaki (spelling) also. I am trying his mushroom coffee at the moment with Organic Half &Half, the coffee was a bit too acidic without the Organic Half & Half and the medium roast in the K-cup is a bit weak, but I still think he has some wonderful products.
No experience with functional mushrooms but I’m with you on being able to pin point benefits, or lack there of. I have long wished that I could have a clone so I could do research on things I do/take. 😂😂 My bff is a functional medical doc and a big proponent of mushrooms. I like to see double blind studies, etc. anecdotal information isn’t enough for me. Thanks for reporting back.
It’s disappointing that you promised everyone to take the product and update and then you didn’t update and then when you did, you said that you only took the product for two days. You could’ve updated it earlier instead of making everybody wait for a long time only to find out that you had an actually taken it. Lions mane mushroom is too controversial. If you look for Lions Mane recovery group you’ll see that a lot of people had bad side effects so it’s quite a gamble on one hand, you might have some minimal improvements, but on the other hand, your mental health could completely be ruined by this product. But in the time it took you to post the follow up video people could’ve taken products that caused them harmful effects while they’re waiting for the results of your experience. Not to mention that you have like some kind of Amazon product link so you actually get paid when people buy a product which you have not really taken and can’t really even endorse.
I am lacking enough sleep because have to work to make life in new country and I am 60 and start detoured with memory but I try powder of lion mane mushroom and other 4 manger kinds mushrooms/ but i believe not good for liver ( because of war in my country I don’t finish medical study but I was very on and studies) and has be carful because can , for sure damages liver. I regret money what I spent on scary things
I think you should have taken this a little more serious. As an educator, you might have tried a better clinical effort for your subscribers. Thank you anyway.
Sorry it didn’t work out for you initially, but I’m glad you found something else. I’ve been using the Om brand. It’s an organic powder made from the mushrooms grown at their indoor organic farm. I add a spoonful of Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Reishi, etc, into my organic cooked vegetable meal. I always add Lion’s Mane, but alternate the other ones. I have no idea if it’s doing anything or not. That’s why I thought I would try to find out how whether there’s been any type of research done backing all of these claims. I’m vegan, so I add nutritional yeast, hemp powder, and ashwaganda, too. 😀 Let’s hope we are getting some benefit.. BTW, I did hesitate taking it at first, because I seemed to have an allergic (breathing) reaction to it, as well as my son. If it was, it’s not bothering me any longer. My son stopped it.
Thank you so much Dr. Sullivan for sharing your experiences!

How did your family member with the retinal attachment react to the Lions Mane?
Here in Chile I've seen both Lion's mane and Reishi in alcohol based, capsules, gummies and even some in herbal tea blends. Usually small bussinesses
Just take it in powder capsule form without any additives and there shouldn't be any issues!
What is your opinion of Ketamine?

Huh? Is that a product?

Thanks Doc.....
I love that creamer but it’s so expensive 🫠

Sorry you are disappointed, Macy. I had an unrelated health issue that interfered. I am doing my best. Hope you are too. Take care.

it gave me intestinal issues
Have you had a colonoscopy? You may have some diverticulitis.
Useless video, inconclusive and doesn't lead to any factual conclusion.
Time for Dr. Gundry. www.youtube.com/@DrGundry
No please, not Dr. Gundry.

I so agree. She should have excused herself, and us, from her quasi- experiment. Definitely not a "whole hearted effort", at all. I love Lions Mane.
