I like to slice them like you do, then toss the slices in beaten egg, then dip them in cornmeal mixed with seasoning salt, then pan fry them. Sometimes I put a grill press on them so they flatten. They are crispy and crunchy. I also just grow them in a humidity chamber at home from a liquid culture injected into soaked and sterilized grain (like bird feed). See any easy way to grow your own: Search "How to Grow Lion's Mane Mushrooms (Recipe Included!)"

Absolutely delicious & very easy to prepare. This was our 1st time having a Lion's Mane Mushroom so I went simple. After slicing them into 1/2" slices, I sauteed them in a dry skillet until they started to get a golden color. I then added about 1 Tbls. bacon fat & a light sprinkle of sea salt & continued cooking for a couple of minutes. We were having Miracle Noodles in a light sauce with browned ground pork sausage & the mushrooms just added an extra delicious touch to our meal, as a side. I was able to acquire our Lion's Mane through Imperfect Foods, in case anyone wants to try looking there.

Warning: if you have type 1 diabetes like myself.
    Lions mane lowers blood sugar.
I knew this before hand and thought that’s fine I’ll keep an eye on it.
My sugar was fine that day…the following two days my sugar plummeted to 30 for no reason.

I'm so jealous of people who have lots of different mushrooms at their local grocer!
I watch Wicked Kitchen and they do so many fancy mushroom recipes!! I've been looking for King Oyster and Lion's Mane for like forever!!! I live in RI, and near our beaches, we do have a mushroom grower, but.i don't drive. A couple of Asian on line grocers sell them, but I have yet to order them. A WONDERFUL trick I learned from Wicked Kitchen is to sear the mushrooms in a cast iron pan with a smaller cast iron pan in the pan that's on the fire and you press down onto the top cast iron pan for a short time. It gets rid of most of the water so the mushrooms are a bit crunchy and a beautiful caramelization occurs!!! I've don't this technique on portabella and white mushrooms. It's my new favorite way to eat mushrooms!!!
I'll definitely be looking at those online Asian grocery stores!!
    Thanks Danny!!!

Great vid. New to Lion's Mane food prep, I found what I needed to know about cooking them right here. I did pan fried, and they were a delight. Nice to know I can also do them in an air fryer scenario. For those interested in more medicinal info, search down Paul Stamets here on YT. Also, watch the interview with Joe Rogan for a seriously eye opening interview. Paul has a small company dealing in fungi supplements called "Fungi Perfecti." I started on a daily dose of Lion's Mane, and within 3 days I was noticing a significant cognitive/energy improvement. Amazing really. Feel the Lion's Roar!
