Allow us to summarize… this is absolutely pathetic, ridiculous, and yet another poor example of “leadership”.
We first started seeing the video we shared on our Instagram a little over one week ago. We just shared it again and added it to our Facebook because of Boca PD’s response. The Officers clearly responded to a call and observed some sort of disturbance involving a vehicle parked illegally.
Unbeknownst to us at the time, the officers actually responded to a domestic disturbance. This raises their obligation to get involved and keep the peace. In less than two minutes, this officer is cursed at, screamed at, outnumbered, and at a minimum THIRTEEN times asks for the driver to identify herself. THIRTEEN TIMES.
And the Chief of the Boca Raton PD understands the public concern? An internal investigation has been initiated? Your Officer did not help de-escalate the situation?
What would you prefer he do Chief?
Perhaps he should’ve just drove away?
This uncooperative, hostile, disrespectful woman simply had to cooperate, identify herself, and would’ve probably been provided assistance. The officer tried every which way not to go hands on, not to make an arrest, and not to escalate the situation.
God for bid we in leadership stand up for our law enforcement officers. Unbelievable but not surprising.

How any administrator could cower, pander, and even begin to side with something this obvious is beyond us and simply disgusting.
The IA should’ve been closed before it was even opened.
A Sergeant on that shift is fully capable of handling this “investigation”.
Again, we are very disappointed but not the least bit surprised. You wonder why good cops have had enough. Thankfully there are still a few leaders here in Florida and around the country. You are needed now more than ever before.
