His beast-blood demanded he KILL ... KILL ... KILL!
Directed by legendary horror filmmaker Terence Fisher (Horror of Dracula, The Curse Of Frankenstein), this atmospheric tale of terror stars Oliver Reed (Venom, The Brood) as the orphan of a maniacal beggar and a mute girl. From his birth to young manhood, he discovers a horrible secret. Try as he may, the cursed man is unable to deny the dark force within him. When the moon is full, he becomes an uncontrollable, seemingly unstoppable killer incapable of distinguishing between friend and foe. Spectacular makeup effects and beautifully photographed 19th-century European locales heighten the suspense of this classic tale of horror.

Reed has done such great performances in his career but this arguably is his best.

RIP and long live Clifford Evans (February 17, 1912 - June 9, 1985), aged 73
And
RIP and long live Oliver Reed (February 13, 1938 - May 2, 1999), aged 61
You both will always be remembered as legends.
I don't know which one scares me more the werewolf or Oliver Reed.

Cough cough.... American Werewolf In London.
@@YT_HATES_FREE_SPEECH Not even close. People just like the transformation scene.
@@YT_HATES_FREE_SPEECH sorry this movie is better
@@PaladinDusty yea the transformation cant be beat but cmon theres plenty other iconic scenes. Only thing that let it down was the ending.
@@craigbreuwet1924 i cant find this one to watch so personally i cant compare but il be super shocked if it is.
It's Bill Sykes! Up on the rooftops! Again!
The full moon... that turned an innocent man into a savage beast. How does that differ from turning into Oliver Reed?
Fair point
Lol
Hahaha
Classic movie must have for the collection
First time watching it good story line great film!
I actually feel bad for the werewolf turning back to Oliver Reed. That guy freaks me out.
Love Hammer Films.

The Marques' resemblance to the governor in Scum is uncanny, for years I thought they were the same actor.
Forget getting down on one knee .....0:49 is how proposing should be done

John Landis think his American Werewolf have the first painful transformation... Nope, The Curse is the first...

Esse lobisomem foi o q mais me assustou a maquiagem muito real na minha modesta opinião a maquiagem mais realista e assustadora de todas e aplausos ao grande OLIVER REED Q DEUS O TENHA 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This movie was made 22 years before I was born
👏🎬👍👍
The curse of the begger😂
I still can’t figure out how he was born a werewolf
his mother was raped he as born out of evil not love that why he's a werewolf
With all due to respect to Scream Factory, they honestly should have just grabbed the original trailer & not this revamped one. You can tell this trailer isn't the real thing. The texts on the orginal trailer were a darker green & this is a lighter green. Much worse is that this remastered trailer takes out some parts from the original. So it just feels too short & boring. I'm so glad that with The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) & The Kiss of the Vampire (1963), they just grabbed the original trailer. Sure the quality may be bad after so many years, but I'd rather have that than these "remastered" trailers which are so obviously not the real thing.
Vampire of Dracula and the lady of England and the world is Peter from the beginning and the first time you have the opportunity for your own experiences with the same person as long as it takes you to hear the song of your account and the fact of your own time walking around
The original trailer (I think) is not available.
@@aniseadhikari1667 Nah it is. You can find it on RUclips & even John Landis said that Joe Dante has a print of the original trailer when Landis was doing a Trailers From Hell commentary on it. It's in poor quality, but eh I could care less.
@@brianheistan9859 I said “I think it isn’t available” Remember that I said I think.
@@aniseadhikari1667 I think your thoughts are wrong.
Ave maria Doidooooo
💀💀💀💀🦇🦇🦇🦇
Love the hammer horror films
i think turning into a wolf would make oliver more civilized
Oliver Reed played the first bisexual werewolf ❤️
? Huh
Making stuff up is great fun.
I can be the lady's pet
Definitely not a top 10 Hammer Film.
0:13- This is just anti-Quasimodo propaganda produced by Frollo.
0:29- That's nice, but I'm really at this tavern for the dancers.
0:52- What a romantic story to tell the kids.
