Colin is the gentleman drinking his tea on screen when you asked about him. He is the one delivering those tasty grooves. This album would be greatly diminished without his bass lines.
Colin’s bass lines are life
Colin is soooo underrated it’s pathetic. I wish Colin, Phil and Ed would just form a band it would be amazing imo
@@robinflach4572they should form a band and call it The Frown
Bono from U2 has said Thom Yorke is an angel singing about Demons
As great as they are in studio, Radiohead is so much better experienced live. Glad to see this series requested!
I wouldn't say it's better but a great way to experience the songs you love ina different way
Colin Greenwood (bassist) and Jonny Greenwood (guitar/synth) are brothers. Likely a brotherly message on the display haha
There’s something super calming about watching you react. You can just tell how genuine and into it you are when it’s speaking to you. Hope you’re doing well sir!
Agreed
I could watch Thom dance for hours lol
Why on earth would any musician worth their salt leave this band ? I can't even begin to fathom what it must be like in a studio with them. :)
They are still together, their last album in 2016 is their best of the 9 studio albums IMO.
I expect a new album in late 2022, they have all talked about doing new stuff together.
I totally agree with you, they seem to get better every time, but thom yorke and jonny greenwood are working on an album from their new band- the smile
@@GreenToast01 Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't heard about this latest collaboration.
Jonny Greenwood is using a coin to get that glorious sound out of his guitar on House of Cards. Absolutely beautiful stuff.
Jonny Greenwood is a musician on his own planet. I LOVE how unafraid he is to explore innovative sounds and find moods to play within. Of course this is true of each member of Radiohead, but Jonny's like the icing.
@@alicecaraballo3910 i mean he made creep iconic with that guitar crash. but in reality in the studio he wanted to RUIN the song... mind blowing
Your comment on Yorke’s performance was spot on. I respect the hell out of you
Happy birthday to ME. Finding this was my gift 🎁 Excellence!
Wow Happy Birthday!!
Man, I love your moving Milky Way background.
Quality my man . Much love from scotland!
This is one of the best bands of my generation! Great experience!
Loved your reaction to this…
More Radiohead please! 😉
Love your reviews on radiohead
Love "In Rainbows" and let me just say - this was great recommendation and it's a great reaction
Enjoyed that. Looking forward to part two.
This is my favourite live performance from them, interesting seeing your thoughts.
Huge radiohead fan and the first time I'm seeing this too.
The 5 original members that started playing together in 1985 are still together.
Though they did take a year off of making music together in 2020 to pursue solo projects.
I like how independent each member seems here, kind of doing their own things, but all working towards the same end.
Loved your reaction to this amazing show, would love to listen to another Radiohead album with you - Cheers
Amazed someone would do all of "From the Basement" I believe this is Thom Yorke's and Radiohead's master class in Rhythm. Part Two, The whole thing is terrific, my special is Thom singing Reckoner and can not forget Jonny's lemon, the rest of the group are fantastic. Very special. Saw them in Arizona about 10 yrs ago, it was more than I had hoped for, excellent! Thank you for the lengthy reaction. You have my sub
I love the jazzy flavor of this album.
Awesome man, I love Radiohead they're just out of this world..
I'm very familiar with both the "from the basement" sessions of this, and the King of Limbs album, still looking forward to part 2 of your reaction.
Subbed.
Actually, the King of Limbs studio album didn't really grab me until I watched the "from the basement" session, then I got it, and it's now one of my favorites!
But yeah, In Rainbows is awesome.
Cool to see you really appreciate them
Thank you for this!! This is my favourite Radiohead live performance. As to what you asked about them having a lot of unreleased material... I believe that is probably the case. The song "Nude" for example, which you reacted to on this video, was first recorded on 1997, but it was only until 2007 that they recorded and released the final version of the song for the In Rainbows album. They really took their time to find the best version and setting for the song to shine. The same is the case for many other of their songs. Their last album, released in 2016, has several songs that were created many years before.
Cerebral touch. You nailed it.
What a masterpiece
Man, that version of House of Cards is out of this world. Appreciate this reaction STB!
Good stuff man. A Moon Shaped Pool has to be next!
Great content, my man. Love your stuff
I appreciate that!
I’m sorry this is a year old! You know how I feel I’m sure! I cannot tell you how cool it is to watch your reactions. You are totally in the moment and so easy to watch. Thanks for letting the music play ❤️ Wanna blow everyone into a different universe musically I would love to give suggestions! I have 6 adult children who all listen to amazing stuff!
I'm always amazed at what Jonny (long haired guitarist... always playing with his head staring at his shoes) is doing at 6:14.
He's recording a series of small guitar lines. I'm not positive if he can even hear them in his earpiece. Those guitar lines are then looped BACKWARDS over each other (that "waterfall" sound that comes a few seconds later) for the rest of the song. It's an amazing effect and despite how incredible it is in Weird Fishes, I don't know if he uses it at any other point in their discography.
Nice one, Greg Wilson. This has been my go-to Radiohead performance for a while.
I do like the choice to bring a few tracks in off other albums here. "Myxomatosis" long being a favourite, and what a version of it here, you can really drink the vocals, he's so fierce with it.
Dang, your reaction Videotape was so awesome
omg ur so right!!
They definitely have their own sound
Yes!
_excellent_
15:04 True!
Them and Tool are on a different level
I like how you think about music and how you express what you think about music. Radiohead is my favorite band, along wi and up there with The Beatles. And The Stones. My favorite artist is Bob Dylan. I have many to recommend you listen to of his. For starters:
One More Cup of Coffee
Gotta Serve Somebody
Idiot Wind
Tough Momma
Sooner or Later One of Us Must Know
Only a Pawn in Their Game
It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry.
You can bet I pretty much have the playlist for my funeral - unless they choose to bless us with more music
I’m not trying to be morbid, I just know there is no better than how much I adore them
Second time watching this!!!
I've read they have nearly 100 songs in unreleased and most songs on this album were being worked for 10+ yrs!!
This isn't just In Rainbows is it? I swear they played Optimistic in this session?
This whole performance is incredible. I never could have imagined some of the studio versions could be improved on like this!
I think they played where I end and you begin aswell iirc
Myxomatosis is from Hail to the Thief too.
That bass groove reminds me of Mike Rutherford for some reason.
STB, I believe they took a 'hiatus' in 2020 & Thom Yorke & Jonny Greenwood just after this formed a band called 'Smile', which debuted as a live stream at the Glastonbury Festival on May 22nd 2021....so who knows what's gonna happen with them in the future. I hope they don't split up, but they may decide Radiohead has run it's course in the future, especially if 'Smile' takes off.
Nigel confirmed "The Smile" album, so take off they will. But it's not the first Thom's side project(not even the first one with Jonny) so I'm hopeful about both RH and new band material
If there is a heaven and I somehow end up there I hope to here Radiohead’s Nude when I arrive. Lol
Check out the King of Limbs From the Basement as well - ruclips.net/video/hI5YMDioDBY/видео.html
Just watch a video called Pearly by Radiohead

You’re right to think that they have a lot of unreleased material.

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
