One of the cleanest live bands I’ve ever heard. I still think you’re better off doing studio versions first because Radioheads biggest quality is the ambiance they set with the little noises and background ticks, but you really can’t go wrong with either format.

I appreciate that you actually know about music and that you actually know what you're talking about. Great reaction.

The OD on the bass is super intentional and quite delightful IMO.

Their music is always a journey. The growth in their work has been such a beaut to experience because it is focused on the arrangements, production, sound, the texture; however, the lyrics have never lost their depth. The references && even a bit of English literature scansion where you pay attention to word placement, the pronunciation && the tone. Enjoyed your genuine comments.

Even the songs from the albums that are less popular are amazing to watch in these basement studio sessions, even if it's just to appreciate the musicianship.

Whether people like them or not, you can't deny they are phenomenal musicians.
I'd recommend- Exit Music (for a film)

Love your reaction, very detailed, Radiohead are all about conveying emotion, but man are they great musicians..
Singer is Thom Yorke by the way.
Weird fishes, Nude, Reckoner are what I'd like to see you react to, also "the Daily Mail" (which is also "from the basement", but incredibly not on any album), that's an awesome track.

I think you have excellent insight into music. Everything you said resonated with me. Nice job!

Radiohead is such a great rabbit hole to go down. As you said, they are great at creating unique atmospheres and immersing you in headspace. Theyre very musically literate and experimental in terms of theory while its still accessible and emotionLly impactful. I would definitely love to see the whole of the In Rainbows From The Basement sessions. If you want to hear more songs, I'd reccomend Paranoid Android, How To Dissapear Completely, Reckoner, and Daydreaming. If you get to doing the studio albums, the essentials are definitely OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool. Great reaction! ❤

They are the most impactful band emotionally for me I remain in awe of them for the way they pull me in and wash over me and cause such powerful emotional reactions.

From the Basement is definitely the way to go to connect with their whole vibe. I'd check out "Where I End and You Begin" next from the session, but plenty of tracks to listen to as well - for one of the most raw visceral powerful songs you'll ever hear I'd listen to "How to Disappear Completely" - it is a master class in all of he well put points you are identifying about their work. The same can be said for "Exit Music for a Film" - both deserve equal claim as incredibly powerful and filled with their ability to create swells and soundscapes and go from simple to a Universe of expertly mixed sound Universes seamlessly - and they are just damn gorgeous songs period aside from any of that. Awesome reaction man, gained a Sub.

Yes I subbed as well because I liked his honest reaction I am addicted to musicians who do not know the band are lukewarm in the beginning and then they come around and are in awe hopefully it will happen with him as well ( I do not mean to suggest they are scripted it just happens to most people who are not casual music fans ).

Man, really hope you dive into them. You are just scratching the tip of their greatness. Def need to listen to full albums though, each one sounds unique and they are constantly evolving.
Slower one off In Rainbows, but beautiful song. I'd recommend Jigsaw falling into place, Reckoner, House of Cards.
And when you get to Videotapes you should also check out the 2006 Bonaroo version. The song is syncopated and you can really hear it in the live version. Sounds completely different from the studio.

This is probably my favorite Radiohead song. The metaphors are perfect, the lyrics are perfect. The music is intense and presents a escalation of angst. You can feel the pain and frustration in it.

Many of Radiohead's songs are growers rather than showers and only become fan favourites upon multiple listens. This song definitely belongs more to that group, rather than an instant hit. They have many other songs that are more instantly accessible and more suited to a first time listen/reaction.

Very nice; cool to hear the reaction of someone who knows something about music, gear, and recording.
You could do excerpts of this performance, and then the full version of the other From the Basement they did, for The King of Limbs, if you're looking to do a full hour. There you'll get the best version of their single from that record, Lotus Flower, plus the non-album song The Daily Mail, which is special.
This was a fine choice from this performance, but the two most obvious picks from it are likely Weird Fishes and Reckoner.

I get not immediately getting it. I’ve always loved them but I’ve always been open to more studio sounds. Adding that to a raw voice and lyrics and I’m down. I get that not everyone likes this though.
