@scucsu6929 the blue one or the super sure gro with water. Just use a spray bottle of water then add it to your hair and twist your hair. I love the sure gro but it has coconut oil in it which low porosity hair like mine usually doesn't do well with coconut oil but it thrives with the super sure gro one.
I'm from the south and honestly the blue magic original has been a southern secret since they dropped the line. I'm a late 90s baby and I grew up seeing all my elders, all the hair salons and my mom used it. I have a soft wave texture but if I don't use grease my hair breaks off real bad and it's extreme at the crown. Im from the delta and my family is black Nigerian- congo(slave trade), Indian (delta indians Chickasaw) & whales(slave owner).. my grandma indian ponytail down her back used blue magic. It helps keeps the hair nice and full.
Indian hemp and coconut oil is on the list for a lot of us...it just doesn' work well for your hair type..I agree if something doesn't work for your hair stop using it but it doesn't mean the product is bad for others....
I went back to grease and I use the BMO Super Sure Gro due to I have grey hair and don't want the color the other greases to stain my hair but now I see they have castor oil that is light I might have to try that one. Listening to other people will sometimes have us getting rid of things that are not broken. Thank you for sharing.
I use the green, blue and coconut oil grease on my hair. Even when I was relaxing/perming my hair before I went natural (2013). That's what I used. Sometimes I use Indian hemp. They all work well for a twist out for me.
I’ve tried the original (blue) super sure gro, castor oil and the carrot leave in. Don’t like the leave in (too watery) BUT that castor oil and the super sure gro had my hair growing like crazy. I wish I could post pics on here. I had a nice health Afro. I stopped using the super sure gro because of the little flakes of tea tree in it. My hair broke off 😭😭😭😭 I’m back to using it and my hair has started growing back again. I have some Indian hemp in my cabinet to try and when my super sure gro runs out I’m going to try it
I love all of them but the blue is #1 for me. It makes my wave a pop, softens and hold a my style, and when I put it over my eco styler gel the wash and go is for real. No flakes.
👀I was doing my box braids yesterday and was applying blue magic to my scalp and some gummy wax gel on my edges and it had me wondering if it would reduce the flakes, I'm going to try next time.
Just trying to navigate which Blue Magic Hair product to use on my natural 4C hair. In reviewing the video and reading comments, it's mentioned that the originals are good but there is an Original Super Sure Gro, Original Indian Hemp and Original Castor Oil. Not to mention the Organic versions as well. Which one should I use keep my hair from feeling so dry? There are too many Blue Magic hair products out there.
My favorite Blue Magic grease is the Shea Butter so far, but I have recently bought the Blue Magic Olive oil, Aloe Vera, but I have not tried it as yet.
Blue magic Bergamont (green jar) is my 1 favorite..I love the smell truthfully. I haven't tried castor oil, Indian hemp, carrot oil,..i have about 12 blue magic hair grease and or leave in conditioners..I love their products.
I've only used the green. I don't do twist outs or anything to my hair. I oil my scalp 3 times a week and my hair is very manageable. I use BM leave in along with lavender water in the mornings and scrunch my hair. My curls have never popped until now. I will have to try some of the other brands you have mentioned. Thank you 💖
Love love love this content!! Im Moroccan and have 3c hair and have been using the bergamot for over 20 years! My children have 4a pattern and the bergamot also does wonders for their growth and curl pattern. I once used the Castor one for my children and noticed severe knots. I think because of the beeswax in it! Im super stoked to try the olive and shea ones❤

I recently bought some super gro blue magic to see if I can grow my daughter's hair. They have mixed (biracial) hair and it just won't grow I've even had their ends clipped and the hair still looks damaged and short
@EyerusalemMamuye-dg9qb one of my daughters hair has grew back a little but her sister hair still look the same she even took down some box braids that she had in for almost a month and it didn't look like it had grew any which I told her she wasn't gonna see any growth really cuz she didn't keep it up long enough

Thank you for the time you have taken to give out some very informative suggestions. I am presently using the Hair food. That's all I have now. Anyway, blessings to you and your family. Ms.P 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽
I haven't tried any, but now that I have a combo of alopecia and hair loss related to meds, I'll have try one of them. Of your top 3, which would you recommend for me?
Actually it depends on your hair texture. The Blue that she recommends is heavy, which is fine if you have been able to use heavy grease in your hair. Otherwise the coconut oil Indian hemp or the super grow might be better. I don’t think Twist an’ Shout took that into consideration.
Blue magic had herb the grease was pink smelled so good has your hair soft ..some how got discontinue 😔..please bring back be part of the blue magic collection! 😊
I recently found your channel and am binge watching all the videos. Love your channel.❤ You ranked the coconut oil last, a lot of people, me included, don't do well with coconut oil on their hair. It does nothing for my hair, I agree with you.😊
When i was growing up, the only one they had in the south was the blue..I stop using it. But i started to using it for my granddaughter, she is 8.she love it
You can use grease. I have 3c hair and I use hair grease. Maybe start out with the blue or green one as those seem to be on the lighter side. I am mixed (Caucasian/african american) My mom used grease in my hair all the time as a kid. My hair was down to my back lol and it always had shine to it. As I got older I experimented with my hair, colored it, shaved the sides off (I had a mohawk) and even big chopped my hair twice. I was experiencing dry hair and it was even breaking off. I have low porosity hair also and I decide to pick up some good ol' blue magic and I have been using it for a couple of months now. My hair doesn't get as dry, it locks in the moisture better and I even notice a bit of hair retention. There are other hair greases that you can try too. Not sure if you have thicker or finer hair. So there is african pride hair grease, DAX, and sulfur 8, softee (those are the more common ones) I hope this helps!
I actually use Blue Magic Pressing oil as my grease. It's not actually an oil and it looks just like the blue Blue Magic but feels a little lighter. I bought it to press my hair but my hair reverted so quickly so I tossed it aside. Recently I wanted to use some grease as a lubricant on my ends and the pressing oil was all I had. It is hands down my favorite for non straightening application. It has all of the good stuff: petrolatum, mineral oil, and lanolin!😂
When I was a little girl my hair was natural (I think 4c & super dry and draws up regardless of pressing it). My mom used the blue magic pressing oil. My hair was strong, thick, and rarely shed. I’m considering going back to natural. So I’m in these videos and comments 👀🥰
Thank you so much for sharing this video, I haven't tried the Shea butter or the olive oil. Must hunted them down lol. I will tell you my favorite one would the Hemp!! Yess has helped my hair 💯. I enjoyed and learned from this video. God bless and stay safe 🙏🏽🤗🥰🌺
The original blue magic smell is one of my favourite things in the entire world and then there’s this coconut grease not from blue magic but another brand and their smells is so gooood. I wish there was a hair perfume that smells like both I love it that bad😭
I have the original blue magic myself and I was thinking about trying another one for hair growth. I really want to stop my hair from thinning out so it can grow. I'm persuaded to buy Blue Magic Organics SuperGro but before that I considered the purest and lightest formula, Petroleum Jelly or Coconut which is safe and meant for children or babies under 2 yrs old. But I'm far from that age and all of the Blue Magic hair greases prevent breakage or do something to help it grow better. So, for me the best choices I would make are the first 4 or 5 choices you mentioned or up to the Hair Food. At one point, I even considered Indian Hemp because I'm looking for herbs in my hair grease. Herbs in oil are good for hair growth, but I'll try the hot oil treatment with herbs instead of the Indian Hemp (too hard for me). Beside I can buy herbs and "DIY" mix it or melt it with grease in a separate bowl.
This was cool informative video. I just bought your #6 super sure grow for daughter and I hair. Bought it yesterday my first jar. So I have to see how it works. Thanks!😅
@@semoneg2826 Great! My daughter is 11 honestly I washed her and applied this grease and noticed her edges grew back because of her pulling it, it has a long lasting shine and softness. It’s a winner. 👍🏽
I am so happy I found your channel!!! Can you do a softee grease hair review like the way you did this video? Also I would love to see the Indian hemp grease compared to the blue magic Indian hemp and their other products compared to each other.😋
1. Indian Hemp- That candy smell, tho! 2. Shea Butter- Ingredients and fragrance on 10! 3. Tie between Castor and Super Gro: Great ingredients and fragrance! I wish I could use these in my daughter's hair but because she has such sensitive skin, the fragrances activate her eczema so I have to use plain ole Vaseline to seal in her leave-ins! Thank you for the reviews and I'm excited to try Blue Magic Petrolatum for my hair since it has fragrance!
It's so funny how people's talking act so stupid I have eczema as well only thing you have to do is take care of your daughter's skin and if your daughter have eczema only thing you have to do is really really take care of her skin when the weather change our skin change and bother us you can't use certain soap we use dub sensitive soap washing powder you can't use we have to use unscented soap and wash a powder Grease hair grease don't have nothing to do with your daughter hair so stop faking boogie boo you can use this grease because sweetie pie my mother used to use this to press comb and do our hair all the time and I'm using it again now stop faking
@@latoyitaalllifematteranoin1511 it’s amazing how you can’t even type a proper sentence but you thought enough of yourself to discuss someone’s daughter . I’m stuck on the anointing fall on me part in your name. Evidence of the Holy Spirit is kindness, and gentleness, love , etc. which one did you display here? Okay so you may be able to help guide me to the right grease.🤣🤣 So my hair is color treated and I am almost platinum blonde. I am looking for a grease that will keep my hair from breaking, length retention, and keeping moisture, because high porosity hair doesnt keep it in very well😬😬. I only had the castor oil until I saw ur video and I bought the original one this my first day trying to grow locs this video was helpful thank you
How are your locs doing
did you like it?
I recently bought some super gro blue magic to see if I can grow my daughter's hair. They have mixed (biracial) hair and it just won't grow I've even had their ends clipped and the hair still looks damaged and short
Try the one with Shea butter
@@somethingspecial1415 thanks. I'll give it a try!
@@therealBBhow is the progress
@EyerusalemMamuye-dg9qb one of my daughters hair has grew back a little but her sister hair still look the same she even took down some box braids that she had in for almost a month and it didn't look like it had grew any which I told her she wasn't gonna see any growth really cuz she didn't keep it up long enough
@@therealBBhave them apply water before grease in the scalp, make sure they always deep condition and leave in conditioner after they wash out they’re deep conditioner
#1 Super Sure Grow #2 Shea Butter #3 Olive oil
hi girl blessings I am now using the blue magic I hope by the help of God it will do my hair good
I pray so too!!!
Yesss the green one uses have every thing green pillowcases etc. Is it still the same way
Yeah it’s still messy lol
Thank you for the time you have taken to give out some very informative suggestions. I am presently using the Hair food. That's all I have now. Anyway, blessings to you and your family. Ms.P
🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤🙏🏽
God bless you too and you are most welcome 🤗
The Green one made my hair shed. And I don't like the blue. I like the Super Gro qnd will try the Indian Hemp and Castor oil next
I have/had all 9 as well. I totally agree. The Original one is the best, next to the castor and shea
Yes! Love your photo by the way 💓
All of them are great for us to continue to use!
I agree!
🥇Original. 🥈Indian Hemp. 🥉Bergamot. Questions: How often do you use it? And how long before you started seeing significant growth?
Original blue magic is number one for me too
Which one smells the best?
@@tiana74393 castor oil one would be first for me then maybe shea butter one
@@CozyFaith Thank you!
That olive oil one is the TRUTH 🥰
I want to try these on my beachy waves , being Caucasian lady ,I have a lot of frizz in my hair and dry .
I haven't tried any, but now that I have a combo of alopecia and hair loss related to meds, I'll have try one of them. Of your top 3, which would you recommend for me?
Try the original blue one!
Actually it depends on your hair texture. The Blue that she recommends is heavy, which is fine if you have been able to use heavy grease in your hair. Otherwise the coconut oil Indian hemp or the super grow might be better. I don’t think Twist an’ Shout took that into consideration.
@@moniquemay2152😂😂😂 twist n shout 😮😂
Indian Hemp does it for me
Is it really grainy like she said? Can the grains dissolve or are they visible in your hair
@@MichLaBelleit’s not grainy for me. Really smooth. Don’t see the green tea leaves in my hair.
My favorite is the supersure gro and coconut oil one
nice!!!
Blue magic had herb the grease was pink smelled so good has your hair soft ..some how got discontinue 😔..please bring back be part of the blue magic collection! 😊
The castor oil is my favorite I want to try another one
it’s definitely one of my top favorites 💜
I recently found your channel and am binge watching all the videos. Love your channel.❤ You ranked the coconut oil last, a lot of people, me included, don't do well with coconut oil on their hair. It does nothing for my hair, I agree with you.😊
I’m so glad you found my channel 🥰 I’m currently using the coconut one on my skin! I love it alot better that way
When i was growing up, the only one they had in the south was the blue..I stop using it. But i started to using it for my granddaughter, she is 8.she love it
Blue Magic grease is number one. I love it on my hair. It's great 👍 ☺ Blue all the way 💙
And the green
What would you suggest for 3b/3c low porosity hair? I only wear 4 braids. Hair is shoulder blade length. Hair looks dull a lot :/
I have 3c 4a hair 3c hair is known to love coconut , olive and jojoba oil. Currently I’m using the coconut blue magic my hair loves it ❤️.
@@arayaday1774 i loveee the coconut blue magic! I use it too, also the smell is nostalgic as my mom use to use it in my hair when i was little 😭
I actually use Blue Magic Pressing oil as my grease.
That’s the only onei haven’t tried
@@CozyFaith I have never seen it in any beauty supply store. I had to order it online. I'm about to try Dax Super Lanolin next.
What is your criteria for making your decision. They should be listed and each type should be assessed accordingly,
Where did you find all those flavors? I've only seen the blue, green with conditioner & the carrot one.
My local hair store 😀
I love the Super Sure Grow
Olive oil love that it doesn't have a heavy scent and it's light, works well on my thick 4c hair
Yesss I love it 💜
Me too this is my fav so far too
I like blue magic-castor oil, olive oil & shea butter for my hair
The original blue magic smell is one of my favourite things in the entire world and then there’s this coconut grease not from blue magic but another brand and their smells is so gooood. I wish there was a hair perfume that smells like both I love it that bad😭
My favorite one is the green one with bergamot.
Great choice 😊
@@CozyFaith I was waiting for you to do a video like this . Thanks for the video and responding to my comment
@@chocolateme7731 you are most welcome 🤗 I enjoyed making this one for sure 🥰
@@CozyFaith I just tried the the super sure gro blue magic and I like that as well. I want to try the Indian Hemp blue magic next.
Thank you for the review. In recently went back to using BM/Blue it’s the OG. How do you use on a wash & go?
the very last time i just did leave in then grease . i use to use oil too but my hair seemed to not be as happy.
Ohh i haven’t tried the caster one yet, im currently using the hemp. I recently went back to my child hood grease❤
I know you are glad you did 🥰
I have the original blue magic myself and I was thinking about trying another one for hair growth.
Thanks!😅
Thank you! I can’t wait to hear how it goes 😃
Update?
How did it work
@@semoneg2826 Great! My daughter is 11 honestly I washed her and applied this grease and noticed her edges grew back because of her pulling it, it has a long lasting shine and softness. It’s a winner. 👍🏽
@@gorgeouswales9635..
lovely am planing to try that one as well....
Good morning I like the castor oil that's my number 1
Can you use the Indian hemp on relaxed hair though ??
Indian hemp is my number 1 followed with bergamot
great choices 💜
I am so happy I found your channel!!! Can you do a softee grease hair review like the way you did this video? Also I would love to see the Indian hemp grease compared to the blue magic Indian hemp and their other products compared to each other.😋
I’m glad you are here! I’ll have to check my stash. I believe I gave most of my softee grease to my sister 😀
I use sofee hemp I love it...have to try blue magic
Whats the best u find to use them ?
Thank you for the reviews and I'm excited to try Blue Magic Petrolatum for my hair since it has fragrance!
my 6 month old seems to be sensitive too . and i can tell now her texture wont so well with vaseline . I hope i find something
Why does someone need unscented soap for skin? Because the perfume/alcohol is an irritant. The same is found on hair products. Where does hair Grow? Out of your scalp. Your scalp is skin! Where can eczema be? On any skin surface! Research is key! Opinions and insults don’t help a single soul.
Blue magic original is the best.
🥰
Top 3
Castor oil
Super sure gro
Original
Hi, my natural hair has been breaking so much lately. What can I use to stop the breakage?
Water, a good leave in conditioner and seal the moisture with grease. Blue Magic is good. Locks in moisture for few days.
I want to try the Indian hemp
What’s the best shampoos to use for alopecia
When myself and my daughter experienced bald spots the doctor prescribed us a shampoo. It worked too!
Super shore gro and the original
Blue / blue magic hair conditioner is my favorite😂
I have only tried green one the blue one and coconut oil one
I def don’t enjoy the indian hemp, it feels like gel in my hair and leaves so much buildup.
I was looking bewteen the Olive Oil anti breakage protien one and the carrot oil. I do know that I want protein to put back into my hair but I cant choose.....in need of help lol🤣
I would try the olive oil one first ! Then castor oil
Mine is coconut oil and blue the green is a 1 cause it make my hair too straight
People keep saying the blue, but I don’t like the smell 😭 the super gro smells sooo good. Might have to mix them 🤣
1 castor
2 bergamot
3 original green
Aren't 2 and 3 the same thing?
Great video! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🥰
Thank You! You are most welcome 🤗
Top 3 blue, green, coconut
💜
The castor oil does well for me. Its my favourite.
Hell no Indian hemp is the best by far
Great video! ❤️💯 The only Blue Magic I've used is the BLUE jar (your #1). It's made my hair thicker, shiner, and I don't have as much breakage as before. 🤗 After seeing this I'm definitely going to try the blue magic Castor oil grease. Thanks for giving us this breakdown of ALL their types.

How do you use it? After a leave inand grease after to lock in moisture? Do you moisturise your scalp with it too?
