Swimming caps are great for the shower. I have 4c hair and my has not reverted in 3 weeks with my swim cap and very hot showers.

Finally someone mentions the oil on the ends I’ve been doing for a long while not preserves fresh cut and hair never splits
I use organic Amla oil or argan oil super absorbing🥰
I have curly hair and my friend straightened once and I really enjoyed it, but living in Houston the humidity is very bad.
And you educated me on a LOT of mistakes that I was doing wrong, so now I’m gonna try to straighten my hair on my own….but I like going to the gym and spa for my hot yoga so I’m probably gonna have to straighten it more often….thank you 😌🙏

For the shower another option is putting hair under a satin scarf or bonnet first then adding 2 plastic shower caps over it . If you have a dehumidifier I would suggest putting it in the bathroom after shower to get the humidity out before removing satin cap
I went out the other night to meet up with one of my girls and when I told you I decided to walk their in this humid assss weather omg when I reached I was a hot mess 😂😂😂 def need this

Showers never sweat my silk press out…I put a shower cap or wrap it and put a scarf with a plastic shower cap over it.

How often did you straighten your hair after wash days? when you were a straight hair natural. once a month, every 3 weeks only 4 times a year?
I’ve never been a straight natural. I used to be relaxed and since I went natural I straighten my hair once or twice a year. I may do it up to three times this year, but it just depends on the weather. 🤍

How do you wear your hair if it’s humid outside
I only straighten my hair when it’s cold, and the humidity isn’t too high. My hair is usually in a protective style or a braid out otherwise. This routine is pretty humidity proof though as long as it’s not extreme.🤍

Are you saying that you haven't washed and cleaned your hair in a month?!
I only wash my hair about 2-3 times a month. Black hair does not build oils. Washing it daily would wreck it, or even 2-3 days a week would ruin it. It will dry out and break off. We do what’s best for our hair. If I’m not working out and sweating into my hair I wait to wash.
Just like how y’all don’t shower, we don’t need to wash our hair everyday. Only difference is that our hair is healthier that way babes x
