    Leave out method steps:
    1. Blow Dry leave out.
    2. Mold down with mouse, hard bristle brush, and wrap strips. Sit under dryer until dry.
    3. Flat iron with Chi Silk. Brush leave out into weave with a denman or paddle brush.
    4. Freeze in place with Go2BGlued Freeze Blasting Spray.

Motions foam wrap, black strips, Garnier Fructis sleek and shine serum and Sebastian shaper spray. Her technique was on point but I couldn’t afford to go and buy new products at the time so I used what I had on hand.

    Thank you!! I'm in southeast GA, where it's very humid. I have 4c hair & some straight extensions in now. I could not get my leave out to stop frizzing up after a couple hours. I used this method and my leave out is LAID! I went to the closest store to me, so I just got whatever they had there. The mousse I used was by ORS since that was all they had & I used the same got 2 b glued spray. I'll update in a week to see how long it holds!😊

    • @Tatiana-cn6yj
      @Tatiana-cn6yj 7 лет назад +11

      Jasmine Smith it did! The mousse step felt a little pointless though tbh. Because I'd slick it down, just to have to pull it back up to straighten it, if that makes sense. But after you do it all, I'd wear a scarf or something to keep it down in place, that's what really made a difference versus the second time I did it and didn't wear the scarf, it didn't curl up, but it wasn't staying down like the first time.

    • @JasmineSmithim2jazzy
      @JasmineSmithim2jazzy 7 лет назад +1

I been natural for 6 years and my leave out it will not lay right 😥 I haven't been to a salon in 8 years when I did my beautician told me to do a full sew in so my damage part will grow back 😥 now I do a full sew in using the crochet method for the invisible part and it came out amazing 😊 but I will like to try your way. Thank you for this post. I sometimes have to wear extensions when I have to travel out of the country to protect my own hair until I get back to the states. This tutorial gave me life! I sometimes would do a full weave with a closure because some stylists (even on production sets) don't know what they are doing. My own hair is long and healthy and my stylist doesn't want my hair to get jacked up by hands that may not know how to do black hair properly. If I find myself with a leave out, I will try this the next time.

    Mine lasted 3 weeks without heat and that's because by the 3rd week I stopped wrapping my hair so I thought let me wash and refresh. I made sure to condition my hair that last week with castor oil and other good natural oils before washing it. I just wore a cute turban that last week to work and kept oiling it everyday. ( had 3 styles). Would've lasted longer than the 3 weeks if I had kept wrapping it that 3rd week. I slick some spritz on ( rub in my palms) as a precautionary touch up on the top part of my leave out once in a while. My natural hair looks good

    She’s accurate about the heat. I burnt my hair out accidentally. Didn’t wear bundles until I was about 20. I’ve always worn my naturally curly hair but now being 25, I enjoy using bundles but have messed up my leave out (my other hair is healthy) but the leave out? Officially haven’t used heat in a year now. This is a good video

    3 questions! 1.What if you don’t have that certain firming mousse, do you think any mousse(it says curls on the can) will work. 2. If you don’t have the hair strips, do you think a scarf will do? 3. If you do not have the salon hair dryer, do you think a hand dryer will do? 😩 Asking because that’s what I’m working with?

    I love your work, and you definitely know how to make the products work for you. Design is A good line, I"ve used several of their products, I was just really surprised to see that you didn't sew the tracs closer together at the top to prevent the tracs from showing at different times but it's on your head and as A stylist you know how to camouflage ☺. It's laid so good job...

      @@chrisd217 yes ma’am it absolutely did. My leave out has been POPPIN ever since. The only thing that has changed is me using a hot comb to get it really really flat because I didn’t have a good flat iron at the time.
