Alsooooo.....u can leave ur hair in the buns and headband, use a drier with a defused attachment and dry ur hajr, only remove buns when fully dry. Adding this tip for my girlies who sweat a lot. I do this no issue with curl damage. No additional heat tools, just blow dry with the buns in.
THIS works!!! I’ve tried soo many variations of this but the two buns with the gymwrap works perfectly. I also found that I didn’t leave it on long enough. Most of the time, I’d leave it on for only 15 -30 minutes, when it really needed to be longer , like an hour. The only thing I do different is use skinny silk scrunchies to make my bun. I just make two ponytails, wrap my hair around, secure with pins, apply my gymwrap, and workout! Works like a charm!!!
Sis, I found this video at 4:30am before my CrossFit workout. IT WORKED! I did a quick 1,2 in the car heading to the gym. I used two Bobby pins and I’ll do tighter ones tomorrow, but it worked. I didn’t have the sweatband but I’m gonna buy that today. After the gym I set them on flexi rods for work today, but this was a perfect tutorial! Thank you for this black girl magic!🎉❤
I did this years ago, and my issue was that my hair was still wet when I took it down. I may have to invest in a little sit under dryer since I probably sweat a little more than most! Thanks for sharing!
This works. I sometimes blow dry a little to speed up the process. Also, for home workouts, if my hair was curled I’d roll it with flexi rods with the edges tied down and my fan on. Leaving the rollers in and tie on until the hair dries left me with flawless curls.
Loved that this was short and sweet. This makes lots of sense. Gonna try leaving the sweat band on and letting the hair dry and two tight buns instead of one because I’ve been having to blow out my roots a little. I sweat a lot!
@@dbsmoney4163it works. Mo’s hair is gorgeous, it may be a diff hair texture. What works for me is a breathable hair wrap, I think it’s satin. I also have some that look like doo rags. I put my hair in a low bun key is it has to have tension like Mo mentioned or else the moisture will revert the hair. Put the wrap over the bun. I like wearing a cap over it. When I’m done working out, I put on a new dry wrap and let it dry with this on. Each day that I’m further away from press day, it doesn’t go back to silk press look, which by then it’s time to wash and condition.
I have had women reply in the comments and say it did! Regardless of hair texture the key is getting your hair super tight with tension, having your scalp well ventilated and letting it dry fully before taking it off
Yes it does! Although I believe you needed more parts - 4 sections and tie the band tight because it may slip w/ a lot sweat. My hair is very dense tho fine.
Hi! Love your hair btw 💖 Do you cover your hair with anything else when you shower? & And how long does it take your hair to dry after your workout before you take it off?✨
I typically use a scarp under my shower cap when I shower pinning my hair up the same way underneath. My hair usually dries within 1 hour after I am fully cooled down after a workout

Not all heroes wear capes!! I am so trying this, I'm tired of avoiding strenuous workouts because of my hair. Thank you!

Yay!! I am so happy it did
This absolutely works. My hair isn’t as long (shoulder length) and it still works. It also works great with weave with leave out
Look at you doing the Lord’s work 😂 I’m trying this after I get my next silk press!

Hope this goes viral…🤗🎉💕💪🏃🏽♀️

GIRL THANKYOU!!!
Thank you! I’m a sweaty mess so days. Yes, I noticed the SYD wrap does work. My problem is being consistent. I need to but at least 5 more.
sent from heaven
Where did you purchase the headband ?
A God-send! Thank you!
This could be a game changer if I could maintain my silkpress for more than 7 days
thank you Mo
I just discovered the sock curl technique. Can I work on with those in my head and the head band while I work out?
Thanks your hair is beautiful! Look forward to trying this!
What about sweating throughout the scalp??
Thank youuuu
I got a silk press yesterday and pin curled it then put a scarf on so I could workout, today the right side and some of the back has reverted 😩
I know! I messed mines up too yesterday. I pin curled it and tied it down. That doesn’t work!

You said tie ro the side of the head ??
Will this work for pinned curls?
For me pin curls were too close to the head. I had to use flexi rods and tie down my edges.
Are you natural or have chemicals?
