      You're so welcome! I sweat so much when I go on the treadmill And I love it. And it doesn't take much effort to just give the roots a quick blow dry To refresh the hair. I haven't been inside of an actual gym in a long time. So i'm hoping they still have hair dryers in the changing room for women to use.

    Hi Shanika! Questions...How many times do you work out in a week? Which Pantene hair oil do you use? Thanks for showing us your routine. I may have more questions as this is extremly interesting! 🤔😁

    • @shanikacorb
      @shanikacorb  Год назад +4

      Heyyy. Sometimes zero or 1 or 2 but no more than 3 times a week. The goal is 2. Sometimes I take super long breaks off of working out and I just do walks outside with my son.
      The Pantene is from the gold series., intense hydrating oil. Very lovely smell, thick but rubs into the hair very easily. And this bottle has lasted super long.
      Ask all your questions. I want to put together a video.

      I will straighten 2 to 3 times a month in the cooler months. I will wash my hair before it gets to 14 days old to keep the scalp fresh. Sometimes I will alternate between straightening and natural hair styles. In the summer time I straighten just a few times.

    Idk if this helps but I’ve heard if you work out and have sweat that you can also apply rosemary and mint water before the blow dry on the scalp it will feel more refreshed and protect the strands

    • @shanikacorb
      @shanikacorb  Год назад +1

      Hello. I have heard that as well. So o recently purchased the rose water kind of witch Hazel to apply to the scalp to help with irritation when doing protective styles. I can't wait to try it out. And see if it dries out my roots. Having a scalp feeling fresh is soo important for scalp health as well as personal confidence. When my scalp feels icky I feel more self conscious about my hair. 😊

      @@shanikacorb I apologize if I am making you repeat yourself but you wash and blow dry every 7 days this time of year? Do you use a flat iron to straighten after as well? Do you take a break from straightening your hair and keep it curly between washes, or keep doing this routine for fall and winter? I find my hair is much easier to take care of if I can keep it straight and also try to go longer than a week between wash and blow dries because I worry about heat damage. I don't use flat irons or straighteners so I feel my hair reverts easier. 😒☹

  • @carmelacristoforo262
    @carmelacristoforo262 Год назад +2

    I have heard that curlies shouldn't brush or comb out hair when dry. But maybe that is when it is in a curly state. Your hair is straightened...no tangles? What wide tooth comb are you using? 😁

    • @shanikacorb
      @shanikacorb  Год назад

      Hey. I agree. Brushing my hair when it's curly or wavy either wet or it's been previously blown out is a recipe for stress. I have to go extra slow and gentle to avoid even thr smallest snaps cause the hair tangles soo easily and in every place and direction. Comparing to when my hair is straightened, barely any tangles and I an get them out with my wide tooth comb or my fingers with no stress. My comb is old. I think from Walmart or the beauty supply store. I think it's the Goody brand. It's soo strong too. Hadn't snapped. Very thick. Doesn't bend. I love it.
