Hi Nadine! I never usually comment but I’ve watched two videos and I am in love with your channel. Just want to say thank you for everything you’re doing! Now let me binge watch everything! 😅🫶🏾
I have notice a lot of straight hair naturals, have been using a keratin treatment. Ultimately, this does help quite a lot. It also means you can protect your ends from being fried, so it is worth doing if you want to become a straight hair natural! I’m fully black, but I have fine 3c hair. When I tried the product you used it did make my hair quite dry, I think the keratin was too much for my fine hair. That silicone mix was bomb though. However, once it was straight, I did want it back curly 😂😂😂. I will straighten it though for my hair cuts though.
Honestly as long as im a straight natural I will continue to do keratin treatments, like you said they really help to protect your hair over time when applying so much heat and prevent that ''fried'' look! but for someone who prefers curly hair i would never recommend keratin treatment, even though they say you can wear your hair curly theres a huge risk your curls will be compromised. Glad you liked the silicon mix
Lovely! Did you rinse out the deep conditioner before you used the silicone mix and lactic acid conditioners? You said you went in the shower but I wasn’t clear on whether or not you rinsed out the deep conditioner.
Thank you! & I do full head once every 4 months (the one I use is not a strong one so doesn’t last very long before my hair starts to revert back ) then I’ll do my roots once every 2 months roughly xx
Heya I couldn’t find the specific conditioner on Amazon US so no link :( Korean products can be hard to source but you can try stylevana aswell if you have that in the US xxx
@@naturalnadinee Thank you for responding. Also, can we have the name of the silicone-based heat protectant you use at the end. of your video please. Thanks
Hi, could you maybe explain the purpose of doing the deep conditioner and then the conditioner, does it have to do with specific ingredients like does one have protein and the other keratin? Thanks
Hello I’ve touched on this in another video but to summarise it’s because shampoo opens up the hair cuticle that’s why I DC straight after shampoo so that the DC penetrates deeper after, then regular conditioner is to seal in all the moisture from my deep treatment. It’s a game changer! xx
@@naturalnadinee okay thank you for clarifying🤍. 1 more question, Is the redken anti snap as well as the chi silk fusion suitable to use weekly after silk press?
Girl Ikr! 😩But I have a VERY valid reason!😅 I wanted to see how my hair takes to keratin treatment before I came on here and started raving about them! (Spoiler alert I love them!) but my friend got a keratin treatment the same time I did, her hair ended up breaking so bad she had to big chop (she doesn’t deep condition or take good care of her hair which I’ve now realised is essential if you’re going to get a keratin treatment!) Will definitely be doing a video and demo of how I do it at home, I wouldn’t leave yall hanging like that !xxx
Your wet natural hair looks like mine did when it was _relaxed_ 😮 are you saying this is what one can expect with keratin and frequent flat ironing? Oh, and thanks for showing what you described in the other vid about using different temps!
Yes I literally feel like I’m back relaxed when I have my keratin treatment in😂 but in a much healthier and better way && Well it depends when you do a Keratin treatment it doesn’t mean your hair will go like mine you will still have your curls if you don’t lock it in with heat. I locked mine in with heat hence why my hair is like that if that makes sense? and if I stopped applying the keratin my curls & texture come right back so I prefer to keep on top of it for ease xx
@naturalnadinee Oooo, I see. The keratin treatment. I see a lot of ladies with straight hair year round. I think that most people must have done this treatment because my hair won't last a day.
I mentioned I have a keratin treatment so that’s why my hair doesn’t revert back, if I didn’t do my keratin treatment for a few months my hair reverts back xx
Great wash day and silk press demo! I agree, that your hair was perfect with just the blowout. But I hear you regarding how a blowout does not maintain its initial silkiness.
@@naturalnadinee. Have you filmed a video on this type of Keratin Treatment already? If not, would you consider making one? I think I need this for my hair too, but I don’t know how to proceed. Thanks.
@@sjonesblue I haven’t yet! I definitely want to make the video as it’s been a game changer for me being a straight natural there’s also ways to still keep your curls in between so I should probably break it down in a video zx
Also, the link for the heat protectant spray you used at the end of your video is missing. It wasn't in the show at the start of your video and you don't say what it's called at the end or include it in your list of links. Thanks
I'm so confused. You're a straightened natural right? How is your hair hanging down straight when wet? Are you relaxed? I am a straightened natural and when I wet my 3c hair it curls up above my ears from just an inch short of armpit. How is tour hair not reverting if it's not chemically changed?
I have a keratin treatment which I sealed in, after about 2 months my hair starts to revert and curl back up that’s when I get another keratin treatment done x
@@naturalnadineeoh wait so do I need to do kératine treatment first to start transitioning into straight natural??? I live in Perth WA and I have not seen anyone who does this for our hair type 😢
@@Ruetendomno, you can simply begin incorporating straightening into your regimen to become a “straight natural.” she uses a keratin treatment to maintain “straight hair” even when wet so that she doesn’t have to worry about her hair curling up again. if she were to stop the keratin treatments that she gets on a regular basis, then it will wear off (due to consistent shampooing) and her curls will come back when she wets her hair.
@@blessedunoo thank you so much for this. I have never straightened my hair but I will be trying. I’ve worn my hair blow dried this week and I really liked it as it saved me so much time. Do you straighten your hair by any chance?
Nadine you look so gorgeous & your facial features are in harmony now. Can’t wait to see you fully healed.
Pretty girl, pretty hair.
Aww Thank you so much🥹🥹 yes the nose is definitely starting to settle into my face I am excited to see the full final results just being patient xx
Nadine! Your glow-up is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your wash routine and for posting your products list. So helpful. 😊
Thank you so much 🥰🥰
wow. I never knew i needed a channel like this.
Thank you so much for the in-depth explanation. I'm new to hair straightening and this video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Your results are amazing.
Thank you!xx
I like your routine! It’s similar to mine. I straighten my hair using 320 F in small sections, and then I go over the roots on 375 F.
Ohh makes sense! The roots need a little TLC xx

TBH the blowout looked really lovely and thick, I don't think you needed to flatiron after.
Thank you! But if I left it at blowout over time it would be matted and won’t last long 😩 xx
@@naturalnadinee Got it
The flat iron helps to further smooth the cuticle
@@killahkurlz7157 that too!🤍

Why did you apply two heat protectant sprays then chi? Isn’t that too much layering for a heat protection?

you didn't blow dry your hair properly that's why your roots are still wavy. This is not a good blow out, the roots should be straight.
Nope I purposely left my roots at the front and my edges because I use a hot comb for those xx
Yeah I noticed that too. And the hair in the back looks weaker than the other strands. Maybe the GlamTwins for more tips.
