The natural hair community is too obseessed woth protein treatments/ bonding treatments. Usinf rice water, defoning curls with eco styler gel, using curling smoothies curling puddings and curlinf custards and curling souflees curling creams to define curls
The natural hair community is obsessed with avoiding products that contain silicones, petrolatum, mineral oil, sulphates and sulfates / parabens . The natural hair community is obsessed with deep conditoning and using cocounut oil and onion juice. The natural hair community needs to understand that you don't need organic products for tour hair to grow long and healthy and you don't need to spend expensive money on unnecessary hair products for your hair to thrive sticking to a sulfate shampoo that cleans your scalp and using hair grease and lotion is fine it's very simple and not too complicated . You don't need sulfate free shampoo like creme of nature or can't or shea moisture ,mielle etc and other popular brands natural gurus push to you and market to you they are just getting paid to lie about the product to get promotion and sponsored for money. The natural hair community needs to uplift each other whether black women choose to be natural or relaxed and stop attacking and bashing each other over what another women chooses to do with their hair whether relaxed or natural.
I love the fact that the natural hair movement taught black women their hair is beautiful and to appreciate and become more accepting of their hair in its afro state and even though I'm a relaxed girl im all for that but I'm not a part of the natural hair club. I feel like when it comes to hair you should not feel as though you have a burden placed upon yourself to be natural to showcase and assert black identity or black beauty and to be a representative for black beauty hair is hair I'm not my hair it's important to have fun be stylish and creative.

@@AnNeachDorcha Good morning! You may be new here, but there are two different hair routines expressed on our channel.
Hello, my name is Jasso and I am the director at thewaitingroomnhb.com, which is a one-year membership program where women are learning how to grow and to take care of their hair from the comfort of their homes. We cater to women/young girls who wish to grow their hair in many different forms. It is a fun, private space where women can share freely. We also offer chances to win luxury hair giveaways and overall create a positive, non-toxic, environment.
There were some women who contacted us wondering if it was possible to wear their hair either straight without heat damage or by heat training their hair. So, we accepted that challenge and began experimenting with ways to make this possible. Glory be to God, I was able to make this happen with no alteration to my curl pattern! I am not heat trained AT ALL. These results became possible with God first, with time, effort, research, expenses, hard work, determination, and my dream of advancing natural haircare techniques. On this channel, we problem solve, and create new, never before seen techniques as it pertains to kinky, coily, hair.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. As long as it does not infringe on the copyrights of thewaitingroomnhb, we are willingly answer your questions.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comments! 😃

Hello! Thanks for your questions! There are many different variables to why one's hair doesn't stay straight, and there are many different techniques when it comes to keeping hair straight. Depending on these variables one must develop a curated response based on each individual.
This video was conducted by request of women/girls contacting us to see if this was possible. Thus, we conducted an experiment, and these are the results as well as what we learned from trying to make this possible.
Please stay tuned for further follow-up on this process.

Straightening just helps protect the hair, because it drastically reduces the curls tangling and riping amongst themselves.
I just bun mine or where a hat (I can at my job) and my hair grows like white girl hair 😂.
I keep mine straight 3 months at a time. Hair is never dirty, just smells like the few products I use which are fruity.
Our hair doesnt get dirty like white ppl hair ya'll, even straight, our coarse texture just doesnt hold dirt or smell. Its usually absorbing so much product, we have to reapply.

Dry shampoo helps to keep the scalp clean and remove some of the excess oils. Ayurvedic clay powders can help as well if you want to go the natural route. My straight hair last me for 3 weeks. For the colder months I'm planning in keeping my hair straight for 3 weeks at a time while taking a 4 week break in between and give myself 2 wash day sessions to give myself a good cleaning and moisture.

Dry shampoo does not clean the scalp. It may soak up sebum but it does not kill any microbes on your scalp that cause scalp disorders such as dandruff. Dry shampoo is primarily a styling product created to temporarily fix the appearance of flat and oily hair in straighter hair types between actual frequent washing.

Please don’t do this to your hair… wash your hair at least 2 times a month… Press your hair after each wash 1 time. Never press your hair on dirty or greasy hair because it’ll cause hair damage, break and it’ll burn your hair out. When pressing your hair press each section for 3 seconds.

I like how you stated you use light/few products on your hair which, I believe aids in being able to wear it straight for longer. This is how I prevent dryness and breakage. Also, I do have a way to cleanse my scalp, but as of this time I do not plan to share it on RUclips.

As far as I know African woman in Africa who use chebe to grow their hair to butt length only use chebe and keep it on their hair for months before washing it out if at all (they may wait until their hair gets to desired length then wash and reapply) , so this method of growing kinky hair long sounds like a great method in the USA only if you don’t do much (swimming, workout, around people who smoke cigarettes, etc.) and this is great method for stay at home moms to try.

Also, many traditional cultures have hair routines that include not washing your hair for extended periods of time. Straightening your hair gives you more length retention whether you use heat or relaxed it all depends on your hair regimen and how you take care of your hair whether its in a relaxed or natural state. The same things that are applied to a natural hair regime, can be appplied to a relaxed hair regimen even though they are in a totally differrrnt stste so i dont see the point of being a straight hair natural its not for me personally period. I said what i said.
From what ive seen on youtube being a heat trained natural women means your hair is easily heat damaged. I see being a heat trained natural as a new trend on natural hair youtube that is very viral and popular at the minute.

That's so cool! I usually do the same, but not for 3 months. For me, it is usually about a month and a half. I currently have my hair sitting in twists but I will flat iron again once summer ends and I have more of a routine down with ny Masters program 🥲🙃. Anyways, you and your sister continue to be blessed ❤️!
