Finally, someone speaking on it. I abandoned the whole natural hair community because no one was speaking to our hair type. My hair is long, fine, and low-density. It works best when I wash, gently blow, and silk press my hair every 2 weeks. Curls are fine. I alternate protein and moisture-deep conditioners. Hair is thriving!
This is good info😉🤍… thank you so much for sharing !!! I’m glad you are here 🤗.
We are not going to just skip over how absolutely gorgeous you are… girl! 😍💕
You are too sweet☺️🤍…thank you😘
Finally, Finally, someone addressing fine, low density hair challenges. I fall in this category... only difference is I am relaxed, but I'm looking forward to your future content because I'm sure I will benefit.
Same same same! I'm always happy when I find someone with my hair type and texture.
🤍🥹Im very excited you are here …
I would recommend that you stop the relaxers especially if you have fine hair. I stopped over ten years ago and started getting silk presses once a month with regular trims, deep conditioners, protein treatments etc and keeping it moisturized and my hair is so much healthier and flourishing. Our hair cant really handle chemicals. I had to cut my hair to a bob after getting or colored and now it’s back to bra strap length in less than 2 years
@@Sparkle-ey7iw Thank you for the input, definitely something to consider.
@@Sparkle-ey7iwI totally agree. I stopped getting relaxers and color and my fine low porosity hair has really been thriving. It’s the first time in my adult life that my hair has been full and healthy.
Omg when you said diet , l said yessss. We need to talk about this often on this platform. Poor diet equals poor hair. Nutrition is so important. I talk about this on my channel a lot.
Wow 🤍😘 thank you for this confirmation! Yes, everything changed when my diet changed 💕
Juicing was a game changer in my hair growth results so I’m so excited to see your juicing process!
🤍😘yes juicing is Everything!!
I’ve been natural most of my life ( I was relaxed for 2 years in HS) I have this hair type , I ALWAYS stretched my hair ( blow dried or press) one year I decided to follow the ‘natural hair’ community and wear twist outs and my hair broke off so badly I couldn’t understand it . I went back to stretching my hair and it’s back thriving .
Girl, I did the same thing …. I could NOT understand why my hair kept breaking + splitting ! But God lol …. Got me out of that mess because I was blind to the cause of it!
First, I want to thank you for yielding yourself to God and actively seeking him out for instructions on how to grow out your hair.
I have your exact hair type and I was telling God yesterday that I needed to get a routine to grow out my hair. I had planned to scroll endlessly through IG tonight in pursuit of this routine.
I was on RUclips listening to a message and I “randomly” stumbled on your video! I know it wasn’t random and God intentionally placed this video on my timeline.
Well done and keep doing what you do. I will definitely be implementing these tips.
Lots of love from your fellow Jesus loving, fine-haired and low density-haired girlie!
You have no idea how much this comment encourages me to my core♥️🥹…God has taken over my timeline so many times just to get a message to me! He is just that good, loving faithful and cares about our hair, wellbeing and just everything that concerns us ♥️….
Love you💕..
I love that you found what worked for you and you are sharing it. I have been blow drying (revair) with every wash + occasional silk press for over a year and I do feel my hair is healthier than when I used to air dry
👋 how often do you blow dry?
This is so helpful🤍. Thanks for sharing..
Finally! I have fine and low density hair as well and I’ve never seen or heard this before… I’ve been natural for 4 years and after a certain length, I kept experiencing knots and tangles… one big setback. I’ve recovered lately and have decided to keep my hair straight because indeed I can’t seem to grow my hair without stretching it
Girly, reading this comment makes all the nervous gutters about speaking out on this topic work it ♥️! Thank you for sharing this✨…
This was the video I have been looking for!!! My hair has been the same length for YEARS. I wear knotless braids, curly uparts, and slick backs but my hair would never grow. THANK YOU for bringing attention to this.
Girl I’m so glad 🤍✨…more content to help transform your hair on the way 😘
I get a silk press every 3 weeks to 4 weeks as well and I work out. I pull it back in a bun using a satin scrunchie and tie a satin edge wrap around my edges then put my Nike Dri Fit hat on top. When I’m done with my workout I leave the bun in or tie it in a scarf but I make sure my hair is dry before I take it down. I don’t add extra heat but I do heatless curls or braid outs if it needs a refresh and if my edges get a little puffy I just add a little edge control
This is expert level advice 🤓…. You are definitely my hair twin !! You understand this assignment 😘.
Yes I resonate with everything said as a fine natural hair girly. Switched to regular silk press and trims and my hair did a 180. Still struggling to let wet buns go but I’ll get there lol.
lol 😂 it’s okay girl !! I’m just so encouraged by the progress you have made🤍.
Everything you said is spot on. When I was in high school and getting a silk press every three weeks I had waist length hair. I have amazing curls and was on the wash n go band wagon for years. Alternating heat and natural styles. Now 15 years later my hair is even thinner and barely shoulder length. Can’t wait to get my hair back. 🙏🏽💕 thank you. This was a major encouragement and confirmation for me 💕I was also getting dustings once within every three months
And you will get it back✨🙌🏾!!! Thank you for sharing this💕!! !
Gosh finally the content I need and a voice that resonates with me. I could sleep, workout, accomplish anything to your voice! Love it!
awwww🥹🤍…I’m glad you are here girl💕
My hair would tangle so bad when natural. I tex laxed my hair and it’s been much better. When natural I would wash my hair and lose so much hair and I would cry. I also found the shea moisture low porosity care line for fine hair and it’s definitely worth it
Thanks for sharing this🤍… I will look into those products
Shea moisture low porosity products work very well.
Sis. We’ve all been waiting for you ! Thank you for taking the mic to talk about fine natural hair.
Sis 🥹🤍!! God had me somewhere figuring it out😭! I’m glad you are here & thank you for your encouragement 🤍…
New subbie with fine , low density hair. 😊
☺️I’m so glad you’re here🫶🏾
First of all, I want to say THANK YOU so much! I have fine, low density sandy brown hair that is soo hard to manage.. you’ve made me realize the importance of stretching my hair! Growing up, my mom rolled my hair in after every wash day and my hair always thrived in that stretched state. In the last 4 years I started watching videos from the natural hair community on RUclips on the wash and goes, buns out of the shower, twist outs and braids out after washing etc.. AND LET ME TELL YOU something, my hair has made zero progress since I jumped on these trends. It’s dry, has sooo many split ends and knots like crazy!!! I’m done with this and after your videos I’m going back to what my mom used to do.. roll my hair out and occasionally silk presses to keep is straight! THANK YOU!🙏🏾
Yes girl go back to what you KNOW not what everybody else is doing 🤍! So glad you shared this!!!
Green Beauty is the best natural hair channel on RUclips! Tons of amazing information. Also, qhemet biologics amla & olive heavy cream is the best product for very dry hair.
I’m looking forward to following your journey.
I too am a fine haired, low density natural who has made the transition to using silk presses to maintain length.
I also have used Ayurvedic hair treatments in the past but now only amla oil.

Wow🫶🏾! You sound like my hair twin ! I’m really glad you are here ☺️.
THANK YOU!!!! OMG, this makes so much sense. As of now I’ve been using strengthening mask and blowing out my hair weekly due to the continuous breakage and spitting with wet set styling. I believe this method is definitely worth trying with my fine low/med density. My hair has finally started growing and looking better with my current practice, but you may have cracked the code with this technique. I’m definitely interested. Thanks for sharing.❤
🙌🏾🥹!!! Well I’m so excited to hear about the progress you’ve already had ♥️… And now we about to take it to the next level !! I’m really glad you are here💕.
Thank you for doing this, my hair looks extremely thin and low density. I just ordered a juicer and I’m excited to start this journey with you❤️
yes girly ! we are getting out of that stage ASAP 🩷🙏🏾…. glad you are here !
Definitely in this category. Thank you for this video

This is exactly how I felt and when I made the shift I started retaining length so quickly ! 🤍🥹… you are so welcome!
Great video! Looking forward to more!
Thank you 🥹! So glad you are here🤍.
Loved this thank you 🙏🏽
I’m glad you are here 🤍
Thank you for this content. I tried the natural thing and my hair was falling out so badly. I now relax my hair once or twice a year. I do protective styles and my hair is thriving! I have fine low density hair and finally I am retaining length. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🥰🥰🥰
This soooo good to hear! Thank you for sharing this !!
Omggggg I can’t believe that I found a person that explained why my hair that is curly break in that stage even that I Being doing a lot stuff!!! Thank youuuuuu
😘glad you are here !! You’re in your tribe now lol !
Omggg I found my tribe! Thank you so much for this channel. My hair density is the same. I have type 4 natural hair. My scalp likes to be washed once a week, one and half weeks max! And my hair just feels better when it’s stretched. I usually blow dry it after washing OR put it in 2-4 twist and let it dry. I always do braid outs. I’m a plant-based vegan. I keep trying to do other things like the other girls but it doesn’t work out for me and it messed up my hair! Thank you so much for this channel
🤗🩷really happy you are here ! we are very similar !! we can’t do like the others ….😘
Finally 😫 I’m literally having my wash day rn
lol 🙌🏾🤍… let me know if you have any questions! I’m here.
@@Angeliquecharlette definitely do you have an Instagram?
Yes, girl... I needed someone to talk about fine, low-density, breakage-prone hair!! I want to wear my hair straight but I always think about the sweat from working out, reverting my hair or the fact that it's getting hot outside (summer is coming!). I think I will give it a try... 😁
I'ma also gonna need u to talk about your nails. They're looken really good!
🤍you’re in the right place !! I definitely workout + I live in LA and it’s desert 🌵 level hot in the summer lol but I have some style ideas that are safe that we will try together !
Thank you😘😘 ! I tried something new with my nails and I like them too.
I don’t use heat on my hair anymore. My natural hair only stays straight for 10 minutes so I’d have to flat iron it more often which leaded to more damage. I started using Ayurvedic herbs on my hair and it’s growing good now.
Learning your hair is 🔑 ! I’m happy for you and glad you are experiencing growth & health 🤍…
heat destroys my hair no matter how low the temperature. My hair hates heat and thrives on air dry. This method works for you, but each person has to work for them, just because a person has low density fine strands doesn’t mean this works for them at all.
@@ivyalston7277🤍that point is clearly stated in the video I’m completely happy for you in that you have learned & are learning what’s best for you and your hair… that’s the key 🔑!
@@ivyalston7277 I have created 3 length retention Ayurvedic hair products. I’m testing them on myself. My formula makes hair so soft and manageable. Would love for you to try them and tell me what you think. I already have a product line out. So this would be my second product line once I am finished with this. I have a hair channel. Y’all should come on over. I’ll comment next from my other account.
@@ivyalston7277 this is my other channel
I am so happy there is someone I can follow who has similar fine hair to my own. My hair is kinky and coily like a cloud when it has shrunken but it is fine hair and low to medium density, very fragile. For the life of me, no matter how much I protective style in braids and cornrows and keep my hands out of my hair, my hair will not grow past my collarbone before needing a trim that sets me back so much because the ends are damaged. I really want to try keeping it straight, and see how it will do for my sensitive scalp as well. Do you ever put it in braids or cornrows? Also, when you get the silk press, does your hair treatment come with a deep condition before the silk press?
😘Hi !! I’m glad you are here 💕…
I haven’t done cornrows in a while … if I do it again, I’m not adding weave , it will just be my hair .. blow it out before , etc …
my stylist does do a deep conditioning if I need it . I don’t always need a “deep” conditioning . Hopefully my future content will bring more clarity to each step I take in my routine, products and their benefits 🤍…
I stumbled upon a similar approach myself over the last couple years since I cut/combed out my dreadlocks of 20+ years. Things have evolved a lot since I locked my hair, and now I'm finding that being a 'straight natural' is the next best thing for growing my fine, low density hair long. One main thing is henna with some herbs like amla. I did that to take care of my salt & pepper greys, and was delighted to see how it thickened my hair. I also use a fenugreek based product called Save Me From that works great as a conditioning mask pre-shampoo sometimes. Nutrition has always been a big one for me in general, so I wouldn't say anything is different for my hair specifically. I have noted that taking a collagen supplement and iron supplement, which I did for my overall body, has really made a difference in my hair. I also use a red light helmet every other evening when I'm sitting on the couch.
Between these things my hair has finally started growing the way it did only when I had locs before. My dreadlocks got all the way down to my hips, though I would usually cut them back to my shoulder blades so there wouldn't be so much weight. But locs have loose hair locked into them, so they'll naturally look thicker and fuller for even low density heads of hair given enough years.
this is expert level advice + experience 🩷…thank you for sharing it here 🥹🙏🏾
Hi, thanks for the video. I’m also a fine haired natural and I’ve began heat training since February of this year. The issue that I’m facing is I’m having severe split ends on quite a lot of my strands but it’s my fault because I’ve been straightening my hair far too much. I’ll say once a week and sometimes starting over and blowing it mid week (I know it’s a lot!) it’s just that I’m currently living in China and my roots get quite puffy and stiff and I don’t want to get breakage. Also could it be that the hair is maybe splitting because it’s the older hair that was left vulnerable to wash and gos and braids? Maybe I just stick with regular trims and the hair will eventually stop splitting when that damage is gone? I have a question too, I like to go to the sauna sometimes, do you think I could perhaps go and then gently blow dry the roots instead of starting over with a whole wash day? I’m also going to try and stretch my wash day to at least every 2 weeks
Okay so first off, hey girly 🤍🥹I’m really glad you are here 🙌🏾… secondly, I don’t like telling people what to do🤗.. But I will tell what I would do if I were you (because we have the same hair type and goals ….we both want long, healthy hair + thriving hair) !
If I were you, I would discipline myself + hair on a routine. The routine would dictate what I do with my hair when (and nothing else) …Otherwise I’m staying on a vicious cycle that’s actually harming my hair and not letting me reach the goal! I would only put heat to my hair every 3-4 weeks. When my silk press gets old I would wear it in buns & in styles where my hair is pulled back and ends are tucked away . I would try to get to a stylist to trim my ends every 4 to 6 weeks. I would eat as healthy as I possibly could overseas and I would be patient with myself & hair throughout the whole process🤍🙌🏾…
This was great thank you. I have the same hair type. New subscriber.
I’m super glad you are here ☺️🤍🙌🏾
Thanks so much for sharing!! I'm low density low prosperity girl - after the strengthening treatment before your silk press appointment are you leaving your hair to air dry? Before your appointment?
yes for a very short time because air drying is not good for our hair type. so I do my treatment the night before my appointment 🤍.
Yup your right I gotta keep a silk press and my silk press doesn’t sweat out much it’s a blessing I triple wrap my hair
I love that you shared this ♥️… thank you !! !
@@Angeliquecharlette yes no problem I’m glad you shared this video I’ve been keeping my hair straight i need to see the damage on my hair because them curls gives and illusion of healthy hair but it’s not whole time you will end up need a cut
@@itsadrienne2287 girrrlll, it really be an illusion lol
Hey Angelique! YT recommended your video since I watch a lot of straight hair natural content. I did a double take like wait I know her! lol love the content! 😊🩷
Wow, Hi 💕!! ! I hope you’re doing well. Thank you so much 🥹🤍…
I’ve been thinking about going natural for months now after being relaxed for years. I think this challenge will help me so much with that decision and the journey that follows 😊
Just concerned because I have low density, fine 4c/4b hair that shrinks a lot. I hope the straightening will work for me even though I live in Jamaica where you’re always sweating due to the heat and humidity 😭
First off, I’m really glad you are here 🤍☺️… secondly, I know the summer months are challenging for most women. In LA it gets hot too. My hair is heat trained to a certain limit lol 😂.. Although I will NOT be wearing my hair in any natural styles I’ve begun to research some stretch styles that could be safe for us + may fair better in warmer climates. Once I’m confident enough to try them and can confirm that they are safe for our hair type I will bring them here for us to discuss.
@@Angeliquecharlette Thank you so much! I will be looking out for the new methods 😊
Excellent video!! What are the exactly mesurements for the juicing?
Thank you ☺️… with juicing it’s tricky because some fruits and veggie don’t yield as much juice as others . I’ll be dropping a juice video soon to bring more clarity🤍.
I just found you today, and I relate 💯 I missed this challenge it ends in 3 days. I want to join the next one.
Fenegreek works for me and also Rosemary oil.
Girly ! I extended it to the end of the year so I can continue to promote the routine and can share more 🤍…I’m so glad you’re here now ! I’m pushing myself to stay extra consistent ☺️✨!!!
Could you leave the henna out ? Like what if I don’t want to henna to ruin my hair color that I have in now ??
You can do the mask without henna … Amla has a lot of benefits as well as fenugreek + the castor oil !
Thank you so much for sharing! Any suggestions for those that can’t wear silk presses due to living in a location in which the weather doesn’t allow that- or for those that are active?
There are some stretched + safe styles that are out there. I am experimenting with 1 but I’m not ready to share because I’m still testing it for myself…But the point is to really try to bring your hair to a smooth state and not air dried to prevent knots & splits … this could mean blowing out your hair and putting it in twists for example…
@@Angeliquecharlette thank you for responding!!! This was helpful. 😊
This is very revealing and eye-opening! I have high density hair but my strands are veryyyyy fine. So no matter what herbal tea or herbs i apply it just keeps breaking 😭. However for religious reasons i have to pour water over my head almost every day. What would you recommend me to do to keep my hair stretched regardless?
does your hair have to get wet every time? can you where a swim cap ?
Do you protective style such as weaves, braids or wigs?
Girl no , in my last vlog I start off by showing everybody pictures of why … it won’t make sense until you hear about my struggles and setbacks with protective styles
Hi I just found your channel. I’m looking forward to the juice video as well. May i ask at what temperature is your hair silk pressed?
Hi girl ! Thank you so much..my stylist is using below 450 but I will have to get the exact temperature the next time I see her.
@@Angeliquecharlette okay thank you.
How long have you used this diet to get to this point with your hair?
I’ve been making changes to adapt to this diet since 2023… it was an adjustment. Last year + the start of this year was my break through time frame where I’ve been consistent and it’s been worth all the adjustments and ultimately full commitment! My entire body has benefited including my hair !
How do you keep your juice for a week without spoiling? Nourishment and hair type is important for healthy hair, over products. Glade to see someone addressing this issue.
adding lemon will preserve your juice 🩷
I have been consistent with my hair care for the last 5 years deep conditioning weekly. lco. protective hairstyles, expensive hair products, trimming split ends every 3 or 6 months, scalp oiling,
daily hair end oiling, no heat, balanced diet, and my hair is still the same length breakage and split ends never stopped and it’s still dry. it’s frustrating when they tell me that I must do something wrong. I will start my silk press journey as the last try.
It’s going to turn around for you this time …. I turned to silk presses at my lowest point last year and now I’m retaining length ♥️
Thank you for this video! I have this hair type and i definitely notice the difference of when my hair was in its natural state vs stretched state. The natural state was not for me!
Yes girly !!! I’m so glad you received this confirmation 💕✨….
Hi Angelique, Thank you for sharing. I have fine, thin 4c hair. All my life I have relaxed my hair. I started wearing wigs for about 3 years and noticed that I was losing my edges. I started to go natural. While my hair grew, it tangles and knots. I was about to braid it when I met upon your channel. I think I will go back to relaxing my hair because silk press only last for a few minutes and my hair is kinky again. Awaiting your response
I deeply apologize for my late response! for fine hair, our hair must be stretched or straight in order to avoid all the knots and tangles. Now, I can’t speak on getting a perm because I don’t like chemicals BUT I also believe that you have to listen to your heart, God and do what is best for you🤍…but I will continue to share content that will help you in your journey as a whole !
this has been extremely eye-opening. how do you maintain your hair's moisturization in between washes?
Hey girl 🤍I’m glad you enjoyed . In my next video I’m going to talk about this part of my routine (oiling my hair + scalp) plus sharing the products I use!
sounds great! can’t wait to watch
Is it okay if they wash your hair at the salon the next day too?? Will it dry out your hair too much ? I just feel like maybe my hair won’t turn out the same if I was it vs at the salon ??? Idk if you get what I’m saying lol
After my treatment night my stylist washes my hair 1 time the next day to remove anything I put in my hair (like the leave in conditioner and edge control) … she washes once + conditions ! It’s been turning out perfect for my hair … she always compliments me on the natural shine my hair has now since being consistent with the treatment … hope this helps 🤍..
Hi, new subscriber. I really love this video I’m just having a hard time knowing how to tell if I have high or low density hair?
Hey girl ! So glad you are here 🤍🙌🏾… there are so many recommendations out there on how to tell ! But….. look at your next strand of hair when it sheds . Examine it . Is it very very thin strands or strand…. Or is it a bit thicker ? Now density can be complicated because just because you have fine strands doesn’t mean you have low density or vice versa… I knew I had low density because when I put my hair in a ponytail the circumference of my ponytail was small … Now, that I am diligent with this routine my fine strands + my density is improving or I can say transforming 🤍.
@@Angeliquecharlette thank you!! 💕💕
Hi your video came up and I was like hmmmm. Last year about this time I was taking photos showing how my bangs had reached past my lips TODAY my bangs may be at the bridge of my nose 🤦🏽♀️ I used some many different hair masks and Ayurvedic herbs that seemed to be helping my hair thrive initially. Basically I was doing too much to my fine, multi-textured low density strands. My texture is very loose in the back but as I get closer to the crown and front of my head my strands are more coily and tight. I have yet to try a silk press. I’ve been wearing my hair in braid styles with and recently without braiding hair. I said I was going to do this for 6 months to give my hair a break from all of the natural herbs, onion juice, aloe vera gel, rosemary water etc. to see what transpires. I’m interested in seeing if I’m a straight natural. I will need to find the right natural hair stylist in Dallas once I’m ready to introduce my hair to being straight. I’ll follow along on your channel until that time comes which will be the end of June/first of July. New subie here!
☺️😘…okay, I got it ! I’m so glad you’re here in the meantime! I know that having a simple, consistent + strategic routine is where the magic is✨…. Praying that you receive that assurance and confirmation of what you need to do consistently and what you may not need to do at all 💕.,
Apart from the strenhtening mask, what are the products you use on your hair (shampoo, deep conditionner, heat protector, leave in)? Thx 😊
Hi ☺️🤍… in the next video dropping Sunday I will be sharing some products + I will be dropping a whole video on products as well .
Hi, I just subscribed to your channel. I like your info and strategy. I turned 70 in January, and don't look it. My hair is now weaker and shedding. In August 2023 I got a weak keratin treatment to help the fine, fine textured hair tangles. I unfortunately take prescribed medications. I know this can play have on the hair. When wet ,the hair is breaking off like wild fire. Any suggestions? My hair is white now.❤
Welcome 🤍!! ! I’m so glad you are here! I recommend juicing your hair is crying out for those nutrients… then a strengthening treatment. Mine may work but there are other bond building products out there that you should research. Look at shea moistures bond building product line. I pray this helps a little💕… of course I’ll be sharing more content that will also help!
@Angeliquecharlette Thank you so much. My hair strands are basically like sewing thread, but weak. I tried Shea moisture bond, but it didn't help. I don't have layers for penetrating. I guess I need products that coat.
@@sharon8885 well if that’s the case the henna + Alma mask strengthening treatment may be a good solution to try. You only need to do it once a month . That video is dropping Sunday ☺️… I’m always here for to ask questions. On instagram you can send a Dm as well🤍.
I agree that my hair has to stay stretched, but my problem is finding a way to mositurize and what creams can be used that will not revert back to curls.
Hi !! So I don’t use creams . Just oils . It’s the 3rd step of my routine . When my silk press gets old I oil my scalp + strands with Castro oil + fenugreek oil !
@@Angeliquecharlette I am going try that. I use Jamaican Black Castor Oil and a scalp oil, but I just thought I needed a cream as well. Thank you, your video is very helpful!
@@familyfun9095 you are so welcome 🤍… cream has personally never helped me .
How much of the juice do you drink a day?
Hi 💕!! I will put the glass bottles on my storefront.. I’m sorry 😩 I don’t have the exact measurements. But I will for the upcoming juicing video 🤍.
Do you have a video of how you wrap your silk press at night?
Yes , it’s on my Tik Tox 😘
@@Angeliquecharlette thank you 😊
Definitely on when the hair is stretched. A lot of ppl have good natural hair but their hair end look split
That’s why I just stay on the silk press routine. I have yet to find just a “stretched” hair style that works and keeps the cuticles of our hair going in one direction and ends well maintained.
If you keep your hair natural, you can’t use straight hair standards. The ends of Afro textured hair tapers and when our hair shrinks the ends could appear like they need a trim when they actually don’t. Look up the video “why I don’t trim my hair” natural hair
I just wanted to come back and say I will not buy creams again for my hair texture. The last four weeks I only used oils in my hair and my hair is fantastic. I only have to use oil a couple times a week if even and my hair is easier to wash on wash day, less tangled, my scalp is much healthier and happier. I honestly only washed my hair because I felt I was stretching it too long, but honestly I could've gone a month and been fine. I think using oils only is the key to fine hair. Who would've known.
This is great ☺️🤍!! I’ve never got with creams … oils have been in my routine since day 1 ! And you’re right, you don’t need to apply every day😍! So glad you are experiencing this !!
I was just thinking about it . I have fine and low density hair. I was natural all my life ! And never had pass shoulder length. Now it is a little bit longer but always tangled and sometimes matted. When I do straight hair style. It Never breaks. I don’t loose that much of hair. When I wear natural hair , I loose a lot every day: I was afraid to do silk press but I have tried the natural style all my life and it doesn’t work
💕your hair is telling you what it wants don’t be afraid. Just learn your hair so it can be everything you’ve dreamed of✨…
I have silk press my hair since last December and up to now my hair has not return to its normal state. I have thin strands low density hair
Explain what you mean when you said “has not returned to its normal state”? Also have you incorporated any strengthening treatments?
It has not returned to the normal state is soft and still some what straight I don’t know if the hair dresser put any straightening agent but she did say it will return to the state after I wash my hair
Wait a minute- I thought having fine hair strands means that you're not a good candidate for being a straight natural? I thought fine hairs couldn't handle getting heat as coarse hair could. That's the biggest reason why I've held back from flat ironing my hair. I have very fine, medium density, mostly4c with some 4b hair, and I'm afraid I'll fry it when I finally try putting heat on it. I have been stretching it via chunky twists mostly, I don't let it shrink up on itself ever- I even wash it in twists, and when I loose the twist to rinse, I pull it taut. I'd love to be a straight natural, but I sweat a lot in my head, plus I live in a very humid Caribbean island. It gives me hope to see that having fine strands doesn't automatically disqualify me from flat ironing my hair. I just have to figure out how to address the humidity and sweaty head factors. 🙃
Well, the most important thing is that you are still stretching your hair with your current routine AND if you are not experiencing excessive split ends or other damage I would continue on that routine if I were you ! I had a lot of issues that only got rectified with the use of heat on my hair every 3-4 weeks… my hair is thicker and density improving with every treatment + silk press appointment…But we are all different and that’s perfect🤍!
I have high density coarse high porosity hair. My hair thrives with the cuticles going in one direction too!!! Also natural hair styles really aren’t for me. I personally love straight hair on me. I can get my hair bone straight on 365 degrees. But I really don’t even like to have my hair bone straight. So I regularly use my flat iron just to lay those cuticle in one direction and my hair loves it!! I wash weekly. The heat does absolutely nothing to my hair. I’ve been doing this for over a couple years at this point! We can’t keep being afraid of heat. With proper hair care practices heat can actually be a very very helpful tool.
Also my curls bounce right back even with all the heat. I really don’t even care to keep my curls. But just case and point that heat doesn’t automatically damage hair lol
This is beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing this 🤍!!! I can relate to you so much even though our textures are a little different! I’m glad you are here 💕!
When will the challenge start ?🥰
Hey girly ! It starts today in terms of understanding what our routine will include and me being able to answer questions. I plan to have the hair treatment video out by Sunday if not sooner! The juicing video will follow after that. I’m thinking about continuing videos about every part of our routine through the summer because I know that the summer months will be hard for some girlies with humidity & styling their hair! It will also take some time for us all to be on the same time frame with silk press appointment etc (if that’s even possible lol 😂 ).
Nope, you're not the only one. I talked about this on my channel back in January. I must keep my hair stretched...no wet styling.
It took 7 years for me to figure out my hair after losing it hair to iron deficiency and repeated cuts from single strand knots/splits. I've had to start over 3x! Today my hair is thriving and the thickest it's ever been 🙌🏾
This is so INSPIRATIONAL 💕… thank you so much for sharing your experience and bringing confirmation 🤍!!!
Been tryna tell people for years that say “why don’t you just wear all that pretty hair out” and I’d immediately say because it tangles and mats every time. And I kept trying it lol it just didn’t work always had to chop instead of trim from damage. But I’m also not a straight natural and only straighten for trims. But my hair has to be stretched styled in between. I’m issue protective styling and that’s how I thrive
I love this 💕…I’m glad you are here too…Thank you for sharing this 🤍
Use heat protectant when your hair wet
Right 🤍
Thank you for this video!! I’m going to do it!! My only question is about short hair. Any tips for adding hair ? It’s okay if not. Thank you again❤
♥️☺️hey girl! The safest hair extensions that I recommend is clip ins… Just from personal experience other weave/protective styles set me back in one way or another. You might be different however, clip ins were always safer for me. Just make sure they are not pulling on your edges… apply them as gently has possible 🤍… I hope this helps!
@@Angeliquecharlette yes thank you so much!!
How often did you straighten your hair after wash days? when you were a straight hair natural. once a month, every 3 weeks only 4 times a year?
I get my hair silked pressed every 3-4 weeks 🤍
