i relate to this so much. i’m currently going through a phase where i just want to take extra care of myself. i want to feel my real hair, touch my scalp, real manicured nails, use natural products on my body, etc. this new chapter i am loving myself and knowing my worth. this video is confirmation. thank you. + my hair benefits from silk presses and does not like protective styles, it breaks every time. i will be using tape ins at first during my silk press journey as my hair is an awkward length atm, but as soon as it gets to the length and volume that i’m satisfied with and back to its healthy state then i will stop using tape ins for good 🌷

This resonated with me on such a deep level. I started wearing clip on ponytails as early as 4 years old. Now in my early 30s, I am just beginning to heal the relationship with my hair. I named my hair and apologized to her for believing the negative things people said about her. I now look at my hair and can't believe how beautiful she is. She also began flourishing once I decided to heal the relationship with her. It's such a spiritual and beautiful experience.

I completely feel and have lived everything you have said in this video. I had a terrible attachment to weave and it wasn't until my then boyfriend, not husband, convinced me to stop wearing and depending on weave to look beautiful. I haven't worn weave in 10 years, and won't. It not only negatively affects your perception of beauty, but it also negatively affects your hair.

I actually just made this decision 3 months ago. I realized that I was starting to lose way too much hair, my scalp was starting to show. God made it very clear to me in that moment that-the weave I was doing was not worth it, and clearly my real hair didn't like the weave that I was always putting in. I decided to stop getting weave and I know my family might think I'm a little crazy, especially when those special events roll around and my "hair isn't done" but I don't care. God is blessing me receiving His message to me, and He has been helping this hair grow like no other. I'm thankful that He led me to do this and if anyone else is considering this, let this video and this comment be your confirmation for further encouragement. God's essence, His expression, and His glory shines through the way that He created us. We are walking expressions of God, and for us to distort those expressions, is unfair to Him. I pray that we all may exude His glory as we go out there and expand the kingdom, In Jesus's name!

i love how you brought God into your hair journey! you’ve enlightened me on my journey as well. i used to wear my hair naturally in a short cut throughout high school but once i got to college i became more comfortable wearing wigs than my own hair. i’m getting to a point of wearing clip in curly hair or kinky straight wigs till i’m comfortable enough with my hair length. i needed this video. :) keep going with the content i love your tiktok’s as well! ❤❤

Hey you will be alright and it is not even a big deal for you to grow long thick luxurious beautiful hair, seriously you’ve got this. The moment you took the intention for healthy hair, the hair will naturally heal from its trauma and you will start growing out healthier thicker hair and take it from someone who used to have thin brittle hair to now having long healthy hair.

Ouu girl this is god and i resonated, god had me finding a skin care routine and now he’s dealing with me with my hair. I ended up getting a silk press and I’m now looking at the health of my hair. I’m really tryna find my own beauty and style tbh. I spent so long dimming my light and getting it dimmed by others that i litterally don’t know who I am. Romans 12:2 say he don’t comformed to patterns of this world but we transformed by the renewing of your mind so will know and test what is god true and perfect well. I’m proud of us for submitting and choosing to let the lord lead our journeys and walks I know we will be successful. 🎉

I was the one (or one of the ones) who asked about this on tiktok 🥹 i didn’t know you related to it so heavily. I’m not gonna lie; this made me tear up a bit, it was all in the things that I didn’t say in that comment ☹️
I actively try to not to wear extensions because I refuse to let myself only see beauty when i wear them but some days it is SO hard 🥹🥹 And it does boil down to not thinking I am enough or that my hair is enough & you getting that nudge from God to make this video is going to save me from a setback or two & I thank you so so much for your obedience, I’ve prayed for God to guide me with a routine and this is my confirmation to surrender fully and listen.
