Your hair looks so good. I’m going to start my process this fall. After braids this summer since my hair isn’t fully used to heat yet I don’t want to sweat the hair out while I’m home in the humid weather. Genuinely excited to see what happens gotta start taking some iron and vitamin D as well.

I’m about to start my straight natural journey. I see so many black women who are judgmental of this without understanding hair and how for some people things work differently. I love how your stylist talked about the chemistry of hair. I’ve been dealing with breakage for two years now. I’ve been natural for 7 years and my hair is stuck at the same length. I get trims regularly. I was doing the mini twists like everyone else to help with length retention. Constant knots. I would get knots to the point where after a trim or cut i was already seeing split ends after the appointment. I absolutely commend you and I found your content on tik tok and I felt like that was my sign to do it. At the end of the day, if it doesn’t work out for me I can cut off all my hair and start again. I love my natural coily hair. But I cannot reach the goals Id like. Protective styles, wash and go’s and even leaving it alone (i’d do flat twists and put it in a headwrap) didn’t work. So i love watching your journey. Starting mine in july ❤

Plus, the split ends like the next day after a trim.
I thought I was losing my mind. I am not cutting my hair off my hair doesn’t grow like other people.
Nope not doing that.

I’m going to always come back to this video when I get discouraged seeing everyone wearing their hair in braids for the summer/beach. To remind myself of the goals I’m trying to reach. I too have grown my hair and watched it break right off at the ends after long term protective styling. Specifically braids. Thankfully my hair is to my bra strap but it’s never gone past that because I’m always getting set back like you said. So it’s time to try something new which is why I have started this journey with you. Good luck to everyone on this new journey !❤🎉❤🎉

Listen !! When I reunited with her I was like 😭😭😭…… she moved to California years before me . I’ve only been here a year ! If you are ever visiting she takes clients with consultation and it can be virtual. Let me know whenever the time comes and I will get her info to you🤍…. Recently subscribed. Glad I found your video, finally found a hair twin. I was doing good with straightening but got braids and they broke my hair off so bad. I tried to give my hair a "break" and did natural styles that only made it worse. I'm sticking to heat styling and the hair mask.
First, I’m super glad you are here 🥹🤍…Secondly, heat styling + the treatment is where we have to stay at this point ! No more setbacks! !! And it really doesn’t take that long for our hair to start transforming + retaining length we just have to be focus, consistent and do what we gotta do including eating healthy and juicing if possible! 🤍

yes, it’s an electric hot comb the heat is very controlled not like the old school hot comb lol … 🤍😘

Watched this as I was twisting my hair. :) i admit I'm a little nervous because I don't know how to use heat properly. Plus I workout and I'm concerned on how to style with puffy roots. I don't have or use flat irons. I use my Revair to stretch but not straighten my hair. I usually get crochet or knotless braids a few times a year while leaving my edges out. I still end up with thinning It's frustrating. i have faith though.
Girl I understand!! Honestly you have to look at your hair goals + fitness goals and find something that really works for you and that gets you to your goals ….but it will be a sacrifice on some level. When I’m at the gym with a fresh silk press I do workouts that are more low intensity but still effective and when my silk press gets old and I’m wearing it up I use that time to do harder workouts. Right now, or lately, I’ve been drawn towards Pilates for the results it has and it’s actually still a form of resistance training because you’re on the reformer but surprisingly it’s low intensity but you can move up to harder classes however I’m not dropping in sweat afterwards!
