Hi !!! My hairstylist always washes out my leave -in conditioner and any edge control I used for quick styling on my way to my appointment the next morning. She will wash my hair to get all the product out so it’s typically once or twice. She will condition or deep condition my hair as well and rinse that out … then we begin blow drying and silk press styling .

I’m so glad you tried it + LOVED IT 💕💕💕….. You do not want to over strengthen your hair …. Once a week is not recommended. Just like with other hair treatments such as protein treatments, over doing it can have damaging effects on your hair! Maybe twice a month however, I haven’t even done that yet😂… you’ll be able to tell me something lol 😂… but I have discovered that slow & steady wins the race … allow your hair to flourish on a routine🤍✨…

Let it sit 30-45mins, wash it out , detangle, add the leave in, put in a ponytail with a little edge control (that I’m trying not to use that much of anymore lol) … go to bed and wake up and go to my appointment! Hey, this is my first time seeing your hair wet after a wash and I wanted to know whether your curl pattern has loosened since you silk press monthly?
I'm a fine hair, high porosity, low-med density girlie looking at trying this method when I wear my hair loose. I'm usually in protective styles. Never tried the wash and go/wet bun thing but I've found my hair loves long-term protective styling. Wearing it loose in it's natural state though is another story.... I end up looking like Albert Einstein. When I blow dry it straight it looks healthier. So the silk press and keeping it straight is intriguing

♥️ the thing with me is , my curl pattern was always more of a wave since a child . Even when I went on a loonggg self discovery journey and no heat for years, I never had a tight curl pattern. My hair is similar to my grandmothers who has fine loose wavy like hair.

Hey love the mask going to try it, but I heard that with Henna masked you have to become married to that color, and you can’t dye your hair after starting with Henna as it could melt your hair off. Didn’t know if you heard anything like this before🤷🏽‍♀️ it was my first time but wanted to share with you just incase. Idk (of course if you never plan on dyeing your hair then you’re good 😊 )

I believe, and I've never used it long term, what it does is coat the strands of hair.
Essentially, if your hair had one colour it would be altered because another colour would be added on top. Think wearing rose coloured shades in a movie theater. There's not much scientific evidence and research on the same.
