Honestly the '90s parts with a turbo I think is plenty of power and fun when you do it right for the streets it will light them tires up like nothing and push you into the seat with no problem. When the time comes I honestly would like to have your buddies Dyno shop to tune my car when the time comes and it would be awesome to meet you and shake your hand. But I'm sure you're not there all the time
Agreed with your assessment. Many folks are dyno queens and want to quote a big number. but its not on pump gas, or it ran 60 degree inlet temps and an electric water pump and a 3 inch exhaust that won't fit their car and....even if they made that number in the car, it wouldn't hook worth a darn anyway. or they'd just crash the car after they wet themselves. And then there's the famous "Butt dyno" which is good for being off a second or two...
What up Neo picked up hatch with no window 50 and headliner hard top. For my sun roof car. Ugh I'm exhausted and painting the fox. Thinking peral black sapphire
@@Neomustangs yeah I know you're going to keep upgrading until there's no more upgrading I just can't believe how many pounds of boost you put in that motor and the list is 12 to 14 lbs max. And with the tune being barely off the block would have split. But you proved that part wrong
Well I guess my injector Dynamics 1050x was a little bit overkill for a 302 with 76mil turbinetics turbo and GT40p heads cobra intake 75 mm accufab throttle body. But the only reason why I bought that big of an injector is because I always hear people say it's always good to buy bigger than to buy it twice. Plus it is going to be running a 347 stroker at some point and I'll tell you what the Holly Terminator x controls them injectors so well it is amazing
Hey Dan...its going to be a trip on the dyno...timing...fuel & you can adjust FMU & back off the fuel pressure...to add...then theres boost you can play with...fun times ! I was surprised SD would run on the 24s
@@Neomustangs you said ty to someone that said 'throw some timing in that thing to LEAN IT OUT' SERIOUSLY? why didn't you just reduce timing to 'rich' it up instead of putting larger injectors in it. wtf
Heck ya man!!!! It's pretty cool to see you get so excited about this kind of build. Not gonna lie, following the blue car has become my favorite. The dyno trip is going to be super interesting. If you can get that thing anywhere close to 380-400rwhp, there's going to be some minds blown. Especially with all the hate for SD systems.
I love the cheap use what you have builds. For me being RESOURCEFUL, and using less and get awesome returns are the more exciting builds. 👍👍 It can be even called a blue collar build that can kick the sh#$ out of some of today's white collar muscle.
So I got a question. Will 24 lb injectors work fine with HCI NA mass air car ?? Seems like it should. I’ve heard guys say 24s aren’t sufficient for HCI you should go 30lb.
Yes but NA HCI would be hard to cap out 19s and really dont need 24s. 19s cap out around 340 wheel and unless its a stroker you wont see that to the wheels SBE or even 30/40 over.
When hooking up a wide band. Your replacing an oxygen sensor on one bank .. my question is does that plug into the factory connector without modification and does it create any issue with the pcm setting a fault or is it just sending you the digital reading that the pcm is receiving
What's hard for me to find where I am is gt40 style upper to lower intake gaskets. Weird I can't get em anywhere up here. I gently smear a little sillycone on both sides to get a couple re and res out of each one.
@@modelman8139 tried em all, exploder, cobra, what have you. I bought an opened 5 pack at a dealer that had 4 left last time when I couldn't get them at any of my suppliers. I'm up in Canada, btw and that may be part of it.
Nice... just tell the Mad Scientist to pull 30% of fuel from the Lower VE table, and you're good to go. So if boost comes in at say 2000-RPM, have him pull 30% from the VE from 2000-RPM and down.
Unless you plan to turn off adaptive fueling, the more you drive, the more fuel trims will correct to the actual commanded fuel. All closed loop corrections are applied to WOT Open loop running, its only a matter of time. You have fooled the ECM for a short period of time, that is all. Erasing KAM will be your option without tuning.
Should call it a “T-bird” cam, they started using them in ‘91 T-birds. It’s a real turd of a cam, the “Cobra” 5.0 makes its power despite that cam, not thanks to it. The wacky LSA on that cam causes a lazy torque curve, I SUSPECT that Ford used that cam in the heavy Mn-12 T-birds and Cobras to prevent driveline warranty repairs. I’d say it’s probably better suited to forced induction than NA, it should help reduce the chances of damaging cylinder pressures at peak torque. Those 24’s worked well, I’m excited to see the dyno results after tweaking the FPR.
Lol, nice! BTW, I wasn’t trying to rag on you for using that cam, but I have seen people bend over backwards trying to source one as if it was cast and ground by unicorns and leprechauns. 🤣🤣🤣

Wideband is on its own. Or should be. For turbos should be in downpipe. And all it is is a power ground. If n/a create it’s own bung.

Same as the vortech FMU. The Kenne bell one is for 12-1 (19# injectors) only. Usually matched with a boost-a-pump for tank pressure to lines.
