Awe man...the good ole days!👍 I built a 91 calypso green coupe about 8 years ago..Vortech S-trim with the renegade pulley.. did 16 lbs of boost.. tuned with methanol snow kit..something was terribly wrong though. Trick flow top end with a blower cam..ONLY did 375 to the rear. Think it was the stock pushrods or something. Had 42 lb injectors 90mm maf and all the supporting mods. 255 blower fuel pump.. sold the car shortly after that
1992 to 2000 I had a Fox with a 5.0 and A trim. Later a 347 with an S trim big heads, cam, lots of fuel. Made 556whp/576wtq. Ran 10.90 129mph. I wanna sell my supercharged C6 Vette, get another Fox but turbo it this time. Liked.
Frank A it’s okay. Street tires would break loose. I just put some R888’s on it and no more spinning. I’m upgrading to new supercharger in about a week though
That's the plan! WOrking out in-between sets taking stuff and prepping to make a whole 300hp HAHA (we'll see). Gonna vlog bone stock on FMU and then we gonna blow shit up with a chip and 30s.. dont ask.. just do they say.. /shrug
Super cool content! I just subbed yesterday and I'm already hooked. My 89 is a time capsule for your content. It has a p1sc procharger , boost -a-pump , adjustable FMU and a chip tuned by Laroccas performance. I just finished installing a A/F gauge with a 3rd O2 in the exhaust to keep an eye on the situation. Motor is completely stock besides 1.7 rocker arms and a system max upper and lower. She made 409/436 on the rollers with that combo on 42lbs injectors. I was going to slip in a cam and some decent heads and covert to Haltech and get it tuned . Truthfully after watching this video I did realize I still have a piece of mustang performance history in my garage lol and I rather keep it true to form. Man great videos, I want to start my own channel as well, I have a 88 also with a D1r procharger and a C4 running the old school Epec Ford engine management system. She made 586 non intercooler with 96 lbs low impedance injectors. That thing is only tuned for WOT and idles like crap LOLOLOL. That is definitely getting a new EMS soon! Love your channel bro. Keep hitting us with the gold you produce! 👍🏼🇺🇸
Love your guys content. Have an blown up 03 Mach1 already crammed making 350ish all motor. To rebuild it’s going to cost me a pretty penny with me even doing the rebuild myself, thinking about buying a 302 and doing a build and slapping it in the Mach. Maybe even a 351... I just miss my car and I have plenty of knowledge to build an engine but I just cant afford to build a 4v engine. The cars been down for 5 years, ran a 12.2 1/4 all motor and a 10.9 on nitrous. 150 shot bone stock! I’m talking full interior with ac on a slick. Definitely pushed the bottom end but it was worth it. 1.51 sixty foot, on a stock rear end. Lol 28 spline. Wife wants me to get rid of it, but I always tell he she’ll go before it will. Haha love my wife to death but no need to sell a project car that has potential.
Neomustangs did a 302 on nitrous on a 01 Gt, build was so “stupid simple” makes me want to do some like that again. I honestly do love the fox body look so much more, just could pass up the deal I got on the Mach and the Gt
I'm always worried running a secondary pump. You increase timing, increase boost, then tune it around a certain amount of fuel. Your secondary pump fails for whatever reason, you face a lean condition then catastrophic failure. I'd much rather have one fuel pump. If it fails the car just shuts off, it doesn't blow up. My vortech setup has an Aeromotive 340, and that's it. Some guys who want conservative power run a Walbro 255. Either of those is a better option than a helper pump, IMO.
I totally agree. But I’m gonna set this up like it’s 1999 again. See what it’ll do. Lots of folks in the fox community never seen stuff like this cause it predates them
@@Neomustangs I've got my FMU and lines sitting around in a box. Let me know if you need any of that stuff. Last year when I looked, they still had diaphragm kits for the FMU if you were running larger injectors, like the 24lb. Looking forward to what you can do with this kit. Thanks for the SC content, every second fox guy is doing On3 stuff. It's good to finally see some of the other side of boost.
Looks pretty good for a 90s positive vacuum system 👍. Btw, im stuck wit my wiring 😄. I tracked all my wiring and grounds still my amp light is on and alternator gets hot fast. Not charging at all. All i did was 3g conversion and installed a sve fan kit from lmr. Sorry to flood ur channel wit my issues 😄🍻
Hell yeah brother! I'm in the middle of installing an old school V1 S trim we went mix of old and new school. 255 in tank pump with a new t rex for insurance...then we added a charge pipe with the surge valve and ditched the fmu for a lightning mass air and 42s with a msd boost/timing box...Adjustable fuel pressure regulator to tune the fuel. You think it should chip tune it or keep it old school?
Yo man just found channel and seen you in Ohio as well, fucking love Foxbodys! Your channel is radio. Hopefully one day I'll have my own Hatch Fox. Drive fun but also drive safe!
Great Video, man👍 Being mine currently is a SD Fox, I've been looking into SuperChargers for it and seem simple to do with just a FMU and Check Valve for the MAP. Let me ask you, can you just chip a DA1 and get a good amount of performance just keeping it stock?
19lb injectors? Who the hell installs a supercharger that comes with a bigger fuel pump but stays with the smaller injectors? 24lb at minimum with this setup
Bro are you just skimming the videos or just offering a thought? The whole POINT of the vortech A-trim kit from the 90's was to put it on a stock motor.....
I’m curious what you did about adjusting the timing, no one mentioned it in the comments either, I’m in the middle of doing a retro install on my 89 but am not sure how to deal with the timing I should be making around 6psi
Hey neo I have a computer from my 95 auto mustang with a quarterhorse installed and a usb dongle that has both software tokens and two innovate mtxl wideband if your interested in buying all and a pro m 3 inch MAF with the 30 point maf sheet
What’s up, I have been thinking to turbo my 88 GT. I know nothing about turbos. I was going to buy a on3 kit but all the shops around me are quoting the install at $3000 bucks does that sound right? I don’t know but that seems to high fit the kits are plug and play.
I am not spending that kind of cash, I will put it in my self. That what I get for living in Indiana. That was not including the tuning of the car it ranged from 750 to 1500. Thanks for your input do you have another hot wheels? Lol
3000 just to install is way to much, wish I lived by you just to help with the install. I’d help you for free just because I love making cars make power, and on3 kit is really simple, maybe a few modifications just to make the kit fit probably.
You forgot to mention the old Vortech kits came with an MSD BTM (boost timing master) that retards your timing according to boost. Timing is what makes power with boost, and there was technology back in the day, you just had to know how to use it. If you tell me what your setting was on the BTM, max boost, and any additional timing worked into the 10^ initial, I can compute what max timing you are seeing from the EEC
Some people still doing very with those old systems. 10s with unmodified unopened stock 302 in the late 90. ! All inside the tuning.
So many dont understand where it all came from tho. Its the purpose ya know.

I’m running old school V1 A trim right now. 412 to the tires. It’s just a weekend whistling cruiser.

Set it to 10 spout out
Can you do a video on the process of adjusting the super fmu?
I will cover some of that yes. Adjusting isn’t really a thing. As this one doesn’t adjust.
Do a old school set up and show how how to use the FMU with stock rail and reg. You can get the FMU with adjustable base and gain on eBay for $100.
We are going to do the FMU yes for sure. WE are also gonna do a suprise video with actually tuning the SPeed Density ECU too with a chip and 30s
Awesome 👌
