My 90 had 320,000 before an injector failed. I got ten #19 EV6 from junkyard 60k miles 92 F100 for $ twenty. Hey it was running when it crashed. Ran great in the 90.👍👍
Looking good under the hood! Before long you'll have that bay entirely painted. Be proud because that is a sharp looking ride. Love the videos, keep them coming.
Jim your enthusiasm to learn far outweighs any lack of knowledge so don’t sweat it. I always enjoy your vids and this one is no exception. FYI, the original injectors are EV1 style with Jetronic connectors. The replacements you got were EV6 style with USCAR connectors. The little cap that was broken is the pintle cap and they are replaceable. Hope you didn’t throw your old injectors away. Rebuild kits (with new O rings, pintle caps and filters) are pretty cheap. The big difference between EV1 and EV6 is the plastic bodies run cooler on the EV6 and they have a 4 hole pintle vs. a 1 hole pintle on the EV1. Better fuel atomization. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the info. I'm definitely learning as I go. Glad I didn't trash the old injectors, I'll probably try to rebuild them. Maybe I can use them in another project 😉
What did you use for the paint? Looks great! I just put on the upgraded lmr alternator bracket and it sticks out like a sore thumb all bright and clean compared to the rest 😞. Looks like the silver you used is a close match to the bracket 👀
OMG, I forget to put that information in the video, hahaha. Yes, I soldered in a connector from my other car. Can't believe I forgot that. You're the first person to mention it.
@@thefoxchamber he's probably right. It will only run rich at wot but for now since the motor is stock you'll be ok. If you upgrade heads or cam etc. You will have some issues.
@@chrisbishop7253 far as I know it adjusted itself. I just put it together and drove it. I might play with the timing later though, just to make sure its ok

You got a great deal.
I am another fox lover from south Alabama. Glad to see others
Nice work on the paint. This video explains why I prefer to get parts in person whenever I can.
Thanx, and you are ohhhh so right

Car is coming along nice. Good video. 👍
Appreciate that 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I think the after paint looks great by the way.
Thanks, appreciate that 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Looking good, just wondering what you did about your MAF? you dont talk about changing it when going up to 24lb injectors
I changed it in another video
Another great video bro, Keep it up!
Thanx

I used krylon satin black and hammered silver.
Awesome bro I have learned so much from you and working on my fox body where did you buy your transmission from
Glad to be of help. I got it from a guy named Ipgturbo on eBay
I'm about to buy one of those new harnesses. It's gonna be $300 😫
Yikes, but that's one thing you don't have to worry about later.
Coming from Virginia
Awesome
Did you have any clearance issues with using the adapters? I've heard that you need an intake spacer when using the adapters.
No issues, just have to turn them left or right for a little more clearance. No spacer needed.
im guessing the 5ith had a bad synchro or gear cogs? and the vibration was a u-joint? havent seen any of your stuff in a while man. whats up
Where can i purchase the adapters??? You have a link or website?
I got them from LMR
Did you ever fix the injector wire harness?

You should probably update the MAF to a 24lb calibration. If you don't the car will run rich.
Thanks for the info. A friend of mine is running 24lbs with stock maf and he said his was ok. But I'll look into it, thanks.

@@roccosvan all this is new to me, learning as I go. Appreciate you keeping me straight.
You put 24# injectors in place of your stock 19# !!!
why ???
Just wanted a little larger injector just in case I did a couple of modest upgrades and eventually i'ma put GT 40 heads and intake and a little cam.
@@thefoxchamber 🙄🤔🤔😱
@@thefoxchamber 19# with support 300-310 cranksft hp.
Remember you can push the fuel pressure from 38 to 43 if needed. That's 15% fuel. JMO 👍😎😎
@@hotrodray6802 thanks for the info 👍🏾
Are these injector good for stock mustang gt 89
Mine is basically stock, and they're working fine on my '90.
Okay thanks for letting me know I was thinking about getting injections that push out 445cc I think that would of been to much
Did you have 19lb injectors in it before?
Yessir!!
@@thefoxchamber did you have to replace the maf? Or did the ecu adjust itself? I would like to replace mine after seeing this vid.
@@chrisbishop7253 far as I know it adjusted itself. I just put it together and drove it. I might play with the timing later though, just to make sure its ok
@@thefoxchamber ok keep us updated. I was always under the impression that you had to replace maf for 24lbs or have a tune.
@@chrisbishop7253 they do make a maf for 24lbs injectors but I haven't changed mine
that h.o. intake is crap. i swapped mine out for a 99 explorer 5.0 intake. way more power and better sound also!
I'll swap mine out eventually
