Jobst of Moravia was Margrave of Moravia from 1375 and Elector of Brandenburg from 1388; he also held the throne of the King of the Romans, although he did so for a mere 15 weeks until his death (1410-11). He was the son of John Henry of Luxembourg and the nephew of Emperor Charles IV. He achieved his standing in Europe due to military and political intrigues, aimed primarily against members of his own dynasty, particularly Wenceslas IV, against whom he rebelled along with the Moravian forces in the so-called Margraviate Wars. He initially supported Sigismund of Luxembourg's efforts to seize the Bohemian crown, but in 1403 he began opposing him and together with Albert IV, Duke of Austria, took part in a rebellion against him. His previous support for Sigismund was probably motivated more by self-interest - it ensured him future influence as long as it seemed that Wenceslas would be deposed and Sigismund, or even Jobst himself, would take his place. His campaign against Wenceslas won him and other nobles many privileges. Then, in 1402, when the situation changed, he rebelled against Sigismund and was even instrumental in liberating Wenceslas from captivity. We don 't know whether the change was due to cunning or conscience, but to the end of his life he remained surprisingly loyal to Wenceslas IV. Towards the end of his life he even stood against Sigismund in the election of King of the Romans, and won. He didn 't enjoy the crown for long though, and died shortly after. Jobst was not only politically astute, but also a very thrifty governor - many rulers, including Sigismund himself, were financially indebted to him. In his day, it was said that it was Jobst, and not either Wenceslas or Sigismund, who was the true uncrowned sovereign of Bohemia. At the time our game takes place, however, he was in debt up to his ears.
Haha I forgive you for not knowing but he stalwarts tip is certainly enough to stab. Believe me I’ve seen training/ stage swords with more rounded tips and they went through gambeson and flesh. The grooves in the blade are called fullers.
bedfellow apparently means something/someone that shares a bed with another like a mistress. But in context of mercenaries bedfellow that would just mean a small sword a mercenary would sleep with for protection presumably under his pillow
My absolute favourite is the Razor. I personally find it the most beautiful sword in the game and I used it despite it being inferior to Stinger. Well... inferior in base game anyway, I modded it a bit myself and turned it into a "slashing version" of Stinger in terms of damage. Made it just a bit more durable as it looks more robust than Stinger and a slightly less defensive as it looks heavier and should be somewhat harder to maneuver the blade to deflect blows. All in all, t'was a very fun playthrough.
Any tips on how to level up agility so one could use the better shortswords. Also I found 2 reliable blades in the guard tower in Talmberg. It's on the top floor in an easy lockpick chest if I recall
Jumping or leaping fences, or just running a lot, thats the only thing i know for agility. Or i guess fighting a lot of enemies using a short sword, and doing nothing but quick stabbing attacks.
I love how DTG mentions right at the top of the list that he thinks the reliable blade looks "kind of goofy" only to go to the inventory screen to show his Henry dressed like a court jester. 🤣

3:58 Brazil Nut pommel .Not popular at all at the time .Was far more common from the end of the Viking Age to the Early High Middle Ages . Also , shortsword my ass .I will never forgive them for using that pathetic term .
Also for future reference or perhaps joke material the ridges down the blade are for increasing the rigidity of the blade itself . And thus making it better suited for thrusting . A trait Warhorse Studios missed since a lot of the blades that have high stab damage lack the central ridges that would make them so suited to the thrust. Mind you they also gave the blunt tipped swords good stab damage in more then a few cases. Ya know for all the claims of realism Warhorse Studios has they sure lack a fundamental understanding of both arms and armour.
I did notice that many of the swords that appear to be rounded or almost blunt on the tip have an unusually high stab damage, i am inclined to agree with you about this being a serious short coming for their claims of realism.
I really wouldn't place the Stinger at number one. Maybe two but it's a little on the unique side. As mentioned its stab is unrivalled but it's slash is fairly weak when compared with others. I wouldn't imagine with best you'd wanna be looking at best overall balance (like with Warhorse Jenda being the best of the horses) and therefore the Noble Shortsword would probably be number one. Perhaps hasn't got the best durability but makes up for it with everything else.
