- This video is an updated list of the top ten most powerful/ best Maces/ War Hammers in #KingdomComeDeliverance. This list is a followup to viewer suggestions and comments on my previous video. Due to that input, this list is based solely of each weapons max damage output, and the weapons are ranked accordingly without any other variables. I first show each weapon, and visually critique them, and then i go through the stats of each weapon. #WarhorseStudios #KCD

Heavy Warhammer...No competition.
agreed
Valid point, also one of my favorites.
Damn ight there's no competition. To me it's the best all around Bludgeon. because of the Stabbing stat. I like to use the stab motion alot to gain some space and the upper hand
+HurriShane I don't think the thrusting attribute matters much on maces, I see very little difference in the thrust attack damage between a heavy warhammer and ravens beak. The spike does help but it is pretty negligible.
Well the Heavy Warhammer has a spike on the end giving a much higher stabbing stat making it much more effective and piercing the enemies armor. I like to use the stab alot after a defensive move especially with the Bane Potion on the weapon
Oh and btw just a humble opinion.I think the Ceremonial Mace should be 1 since it has a higher defence and durability stat, plus it has the same blunt dmg with the Bailiff's mace with a 1 dmg pt higher on stab and slash.
Father! Good to see you!
I agree, upon reflection i do think the ceremonial should be number one, it simply wasn't here because their highest stats were even, and the bailiffs mace comes first alphabetically.
@@Dare_To_Game Stats aren't even. Ceremonial mace has slightly higher stab and slashing, and the charisma is significantly higher too.
Joshua Collins he said Highest, meaning Blunt Damage is the same. But I still prefer Ceremonial Mace over Bailiffs Mace for those few extra points in Slashing and Stabbing. The Higher Charisma and Durability also outweighs the Bailiffs Mace so all the more reason Ceremonial Mace is #1.
I can see this channel being one of my favs. Been watching for a week or so now. Absolutely love the content. I live and breathe KCD. Also subbed to “parry this” 😂💪🏻
Welcome aboard!
Benedict XIII, born Pedro de Luna, was elected Antipope in 1394 in Avignon. He had previously withdrawn his allegiance to the Italian Pope Urban VI who represented the Catholic Church in Rome.
Henry has come to see us !!!
Btw, wtf ???
@@NoirChat138 He's just tossing out codex entries.
There's a good Lad.
Love your content! Even though I have beaten KCD twice, I still find your content interesting and refreshing! Thank you!
Lol, ive also beaten it twice, its a good game.
P F nobody cares if u beat this game everybody done that 10 times
I can't really agree with your rankings; I find the smaller of the two Heavy Warhammers the most effective largely because of its very impressive (for a bludgeon) 25 stabbing dmg, on top of a blunt of 54 which isn't too far off the top maces. (Maybe that's because I like to use a lot of thrusts, especially against unprotected faces). If we just want to total up all-around damage, it comes in at 76 where the Bailiff's Mace is only 65.
I love this game! One important thing to note is that the Raven'd Beak does mixed damage and is capable of causing bleeding on heavily armoured opponents. Some other maces have this capability but the Raven's Beak is the best at it. Just my two cents 😊
I have a hard time using anything but the Ravens Beak. I need to let go and stop being afraid to try something different
I prefer #5 the Heavy Warhammer. Because of the Stabbing stat.
Same Here.
Ditto
9:44 I want to be a bludgeonsman XD
Maces are pretty good for attacking armored targets because most plate armor has very poor blunt trauma defense, as should be. But honestly I prefer using swords and axes because there are weapon repairing perks that maces simply cannot benefit from, because you can't sharpen them yourself in a grinding stone.
Yeah, this game definitely favors bladed weapons. I usually carry a sword as my primary and a mace as backup.
Plate was always worn with padding underneath and most plate had a significant airgap between the plate and padding so that even if dented, it wouldn't end up causing you harm or even discomfort.
If maces were historically *that* good against plate every knight would have used one, yet they favoured swords with maces being somewhat of a pauper's weapon on the low end (graduated wooden shaft, filled with lead at the top and with a metal band friction fitted) or priests who saw maces as a weapon that kills without spilling blood (or spilling significantly less).
Moving a weapon with the mass that a mace has isn't easy and requires some wind-up which gives a swordsman plenty of time to block or run you through.
Not that maces and hammers were useless, they simply aren't the amazing armor piercing weapons some people believe them to be. Even against chain a spiked mace would be hard pressed to penetrate, though the kinetic energy transferred through chain would certainly be enough to crack ribs, though not for a plate cuirass.
Grinding stones don't count for repairing the weapon yourself, you have to use a blacksmith's kit
@@Dare_To_GameI carry mace and shield (Heavy warhammer) for big battles and sword for duels.
@@daviddavidson2357Theres plenty of other sources saying otherwise. Maces, warhammers, and war axes were pretty effective against armor so idk where exactly you’re getting the info that “armor has air gaps so those weapons don’t work” bullshit. Knights commonly used maces, axes, and lances you can find plenty of sources online. Don’t really know why you’re saying it wasn’t used much. Swords are mainly used and seen as sidearms like pistols. They aren’t effective once armor is involved. Thats why you use bigger and heavier weapons like the mace, axe, hammer, and spear.
I just got this game a few weeks ago and spent my first week using longswords exclusively. Decided to give the Raven's Beak a go at one point and boy does it wreck stuff. The mission where you go to scout Pribyslavitz? Yeah I killed everyone there. It's absolutely insane with a shield and rage potion and the potion that gives you 50% more stamina. You can overhead swing that bad boy for days and cumans just keep falling. They don't have the stamina to keep blocking the hits
meting, mee-ting. the root word is "mete" meaning give as in "give out". the verb forms: mete, meting, meted, have meted
I really wish we could display weapons and armor in our village somewhere
I went with maces for most of the game til just after the pious mission. I got the Bailiff's Mace in skalitz before Runt robbed me. It's always there in an unblocked chest in the stream along with the best metal plated axe in the game. A great find for new players
Yeah, that chest is a great way to get good items early on.
Great vid, small critique; watch the brightness of the vids.
I've since turned the brightness down in my settings, my more recent videos aren't so bright.
@@Dare_To_Game I've been on a KCD replay, so I'm look im looking forward to see more of your vids!
I use the spiked warhammer. its not the best but I took down Runt in a single hit before I had the Headcracker perk. Plus I tend to stab a lot more than swing. I just started using Mace and Shield and I have stood my own against all of Pribslavpravitz (however its spelled)
I got surprisingly the bailiffs mace for free. What I did is go to the bandit place camp near skalitz and there was a chest next to the bridge (down there) and there was it, the bailiffs mace with a 15 strength axe ( idk anymore Wich one) somewhere around 200 - 300 gorsch and a necklace for 1k.
I read somewhere some hammers in the game eg raven's beak has its stab and blunt damages added together and dealt at the same time.
From my experience, they only have stab damage if you use the jab attack.
How do you rate Warhammer over Spiked Warhammer? The spiked Warhammer does only one point less blunt damage, but adds 9 points more stab damage, so that gives you another attack option (stab attack is also quick). For me that easily justifies sacrificing 1 single point of blunt damage...
I bought the bailiff mace at Rattay for around 900 groschens!
Its kinda pricey, especially early game, but it is a great weapon.
I'm pretty sure Morgenstern is Czech or German for Morning Star, wouldn't know what Pernach is though
It's certainly German, not sure about Czech
Pernach comes from the Slavic word pero meaning feather. It originated in the Kievan Rus' (todays Russia and Ukraine).
Its german
Let’s be honest, they’re historically accurate names are bonk sticks
Well, yeah, if we're being Historical Puritans, but where is the art in that?
How is the bailiff‘s mace better that the ceremonial mace? it‘s worse in everything
What mace level would you recommend reaching with Captain Bernard before trying to swing one of these things around in the wild? I've met random full-plate bandits who don't seem to react to getting bashed in the head with the Morgenstern. What makes this especially problematic is that I'm nowhere near Skallitz when I meet them. They're just on the road between villages.
Its more about your strength level. Once you get that up your strikes will be more effective. The weapon level just dictates how well you will avoid blocks and land accurate strikes. It also unlocks combos.
5 years later: I think the in game unit of weight is pounds - but I don't know which pounds. As I understand it, at that time there were actually local units of measurement. Bohemia's mile was longer than a Silesian mile, for example. 7 and 6,5km, by the way, so if you time travel to medieval Bohemia, be careful when listening to directions. The metric system wasn't really realized until much later.
The game's Statistics screen seems to talk in metric, but the perks mention pounds.
Why would warhammer be number 7 while spiked warhammer is 8? Blunt damage basically the same (1 is no diffrence) but stab damage added for spiked warhammer. Given the choice of those 2 i go spiked anytime
The thing that bums me out is how is the black smiths son, Henry the Hammer supposed to have a war hammer when there’s only like three options
you going to update this kermit?
The Balif's mace stats are almost the same as the ceremonial's so why is it better ?
Anyone knows where I can get the heavy war hammer (place 3)? I would like to try it but I can't find one.
Ancient Map IV will lead you to a chest that contains it.
I know but I am looking for the other variant of the heavy war hammer (the one with the blade on it). Ideas?
The heavily armoured bandits in the Sasau region often have it. Just do the bandit camp missions there (or look up the bandit camp locations in the Sasau region online) and if you kill all the bandits in one of the camps you're sure to find it on some of them.
@@Dare_To_Game Am I the only one who gets a higher damage stat with that type of heavy war hammer than any other mace? In the info box it shows a lower number but when equipped it beats every other mace. This is with strength at 20, so it has nothing to do with the minimum strength stat.
@@lennert8530 It's because it looks at the difference for instance a mace with 10 str req and 50 dmg will beat a mace with 13 str and 60 dmg at lvl 20 str because every str above the req adds for instance 5 dmg (I do not know the exact numbers) It might be a bit late replying to this tho.
How do I get the Ravens beak? There's no video or anything on the wiki on how to get it
I only know of one place that it can be acquired consistently, butit is tied to a story mission late in the game. other than that, it only spawns randomly. As far as the story mission related to it, it can be gotten from the chest in Erik's tent, or a guard in the upper ring of the camp, both in the die is cast quest.
@@Dare_To_Game oh, I guess I just need to farm it off of bandits
Best of Luck.
@@A3therius Farm bandits in skalitz just be careful because the are heavily armed and armored.
@@Kurogumo I already got it a while ago, but thanks for the info
wait it is in the main game..most people never bothered to get their gear back from erik in 'dice is cast ' mission..it's in one of his chest :)
yeah, it caught me the first time through. The second time through i just stowed all my gear in that chest before going in by erik, that way i was able to grab it all on the way out.
And did you find Raven' beak Warhammer there? Have you used it in the game?
The pernach is a flanged mace.
Why don't you mention where to get these weapons?
mace and a shield is OP
Just like in real life.
Warhammers > maces
Number 3 and 5 should swap places
Welp sure maces are good and all but when playing enough you can just 1 shot anything with ether Herolds sword or ST georges sword just saying.
Sorry for broken england
Raven 's beak hands down too op...wonder why it wasn't mention in the video maybe introduced in later updates :)
lack of stab dmg.
12:48 the noob weapon of choice is a polearm, incredibly powerful to the point of being almost broken, low skill required for attack, a bit tricky for defence. Spears are the worst offenders, cheap to repair in any common blacksmiths, tremendously effective against any cumans ( aka the Cuman' SLAYER choice) also good for the consequent loot ...
Yeah, poleamrs are wicked good, they are just not handled very well in this game. If you could carry, store, sell, and buy it like any other weapon, they would be the best.
Yeah but I’m not going to carry a spear everywhere I go
@@DemoSpar there is a bug to store the spear
Bailiffs mace
The ceremonial mace the same damage and has higher defense, charisma, and durability than the bailiff's mace.
Morgenstern = Morning Star.
I like your voice, might sound kind of weird but it's true. Don't get me wrong.
Thank You.
Ive been using the heavy Warhammer with some success lol
Its a quality weapon, great for breaking blocks.
C'mon! We all knew the Bailiff's mace would be #1 XD
Gigidi xD
Horsemen perk (knight) + polearm (spear) + bludgeon ( ceremonial mace) = perfectly unbalanced CAVALRY force
The polearms are stupid good in this game, i just wish they were handled like regular weapons in KCD.
I smashed the subscrbe button with a mace.
Hope the damage to your computer/phone was minimal.
@@Dare_To_Game It did 61 blunt damage. :\
The way you should say "Morgenstern" is 'Morgenshtern'
Wait what how is bailiffs made better than the ceremonial mace?? Pleace explain?
Its not, ceremonial mace is better. I made a mistake while making this video. The ceremonial mace has better stab damage, and the same blunt/slash damage as the bailiffs mace, so ceremonial mace is best.
The best weapon is halbedier
I am not familiar with that weapon.
+Dare To Game I think he means the polearm halbard. The things guards use with two hands, they have extremely high stats 100+ but they only have one attack motion and they can only be equipped by picking the item up from the ground, it was something I think they wanted to add to the game but never followed through with, even the trainer will train you in them but there appears to be no actual experience gain from using it you cannot even sell them even though they have a price tag.
@@Donbd83 Use Spearman's Delight mod to make them as regular weapon with pretty balanced stats. Lucerne Hammer is my favorite among pole arms.
This is not intended as an insult, but, has anyone ever told you that you kind of sound like Jordan Peterson?
No worries, usually they tell me i sound like Kermit, but i have gotten the odd Jordan Peterson comparison.
@@Dare_To_Game kermit? Like Kermit the Frog - Kermit?
Thats strange, I dont hear that, in this video if you changed some of your inflections you would make a damn-good Peterson impressionist.
no all about the hammers
Everyone always talking about the fact that you sound a bit like Kermit in the comments. Personally I think you may be Jordan Peterson smurfin as an everyday RPG gamer...
“Meh”
I thought maces would be shit because I didn't want to damage enemy armor. They won't ruin the armor like I thought though so not to worry! I make all my money by killing bandits and Cumans. Good thing that I found a great mace early on I which is why I used it rather than swords, otherwise I might never have tried them. Doing an axe play through now and I love it! If say axes and maces are the better weapons. Swords aren't my thing although it is nice to have so many combo attacks
The best thing about swords is the combos, otherwise maces and swords are superior in my opinion...I guess swords are also better for quick attacks against lightly armored oponents.
Pretty Slovaks
