    Thank you Sir! I've been hunting for a 1911 for a couple weeks and have done a lot of research on them.
    Not one review that I've watched has put the Tisas down... and this is my last review!
    You Sir, layed it all out there!
    And again, thank you!
    Grab A Gun has the 5" Duty with the rubber grips for 399 with 15 off for all orders over 250.
    Just today, I was about to pull the trigger and put it in the cart but, then backed out. 20 min later they emailed me... if 15 ain't enough, take 20 instead off! 😂
    Thank you once again!

    I have 5 tisas 1911's. Duty and Carry models in 45acp and 9mm. And a Mil Spec model in 45. All have been flawless. The Carry models are in my edc rotation. I'm getting a Tank Commander in 9mm next. And I may see their 10mm model in my collection soon as well.
    I bought the rubber grips for my Carry models. I do like them a lot. The wood grips tisas has available are great as well. My Mil Spec model came with them installed.
    Tisas also uses all machined internal parts since Oct of 2022

    I agree with you about ambi "anything" Back in 1990 I went to the local gun store to order a Ruger P90DC 45ACP. I told the clerk I don't want the ambi decocker, because you could order without it. He gives me a hard time by saying the ambi DC edition is the same price, why not get the ambi decocker. I said because I'm right-handed and see no need for it. He says when you sell the gun, you won't get as much for it, because the lefties won't want it. I said I don't plan on selling the gun, and 33 years later I still have it. I usually hang on to my guns.

    I have rediscovered my love of a 1911, even tho mine is 10mm. I actually shoot it better ( more accurate ) than my glocks. Can't say why, but it just feels better in hand. An like I said before, I haven't had a 1911 in the stable for over 45 yrs, but I do now. Even tho its only 8 rds, I don't feel undergunned at all, more like more confident, but its a hunting gun or a SD gun if I need it to be. Very grateful for you taking the time to pop another vid out for us. Thx for the vid Antonius

      @@shootinitstraight4162Thanks for covering Tisas 1911's. I have a U.S. ARMY MODEL AND A SERVICE SPECIAL. Both are. 45acp as they are 1911's. I agree with you regarding "1911 Snobs". They are prissy little girls. I've been shooting 1911's for 45 years and think the Turk pistols are the cat's meow. Function,workmanship and price are great. If I should save some bucks,I would be tempted to buy a model with a few more bells and whistles .As for ambi controls,they are unnecessary since the left index finger can easily be used inplace of the right thumb. Examine the serial # on the right side of the frame, just below the slide.
      Most will begin with T0620. The first two numbers after that indicate the year. For example, mine is T0620-23Z0___. So mine was manufactured in 2023, expressed on the frame here as 20-23.

    I just caught up with this review and I'll start out by saying that it is a good video. While I agree that the TISAS is a good pistol and that you touch on its many features, I take exception to two points in the presentation.
    The first exception is stating that taking a shot, regrip, take a shot, regrip should never be done. There are instances where a regrip may be necessary, or even convenient during shooting. I cover this in my rant about one of my viewer's take on my shifting grip in my own review videos (Gun Grip Rant - An analytical and adult response to viewer criticism. - ruclips.net/video/s_ir1hAUpaQ/видео.html). 'Nuff said about that.
    The second exception is criticizing another's viewpoint or opinion about a firearm, for example, "the TISAS is a good (or excellent) pistol for the money paid (or for the price point)". Viewpoints and/or opinions are personal; they are an expression of a person's belief, whether they align with your belief(s) or not. In other words, respect other people's opinions for what they are, as much as you value your opinions or statements of fact regarding the firearm.
    Lastly, in the early days of training with the M1911, soldiers were taught to shoot with the middle finger and place the forefinger on the slide of the frame. This was back in the old "point shooting" days. What was found out is that the soldier would place to much tension on the frame, exactly where the take-down pin protrudes. This pressure would force the pin inward, thus forcing the take-down assembly outward. As the slide moved to the rear in recoil, the take-down slot in the slide would align with the take-down tab on the slide stop that, consequently, force the take-down assembly out of the frame slightly - slightly enough to lock the slide open. Training was changed to correct this from happening. The flush-fit take-down pin of the TISAS, coupled with the beveling is two-fold; it prevents the take-down pin from being pushed during normal operation, and makes it easy to press in when disassembling the pistol. The left side of the frame where the take-down pin is inserted is also beveled - to aid in guiding the pin into place during assembly.
    I also own the TISAS B45 Duty and have a B45 Carry on the way to evaluate.
    Thank you, sir and have a good day!😁

    • @shootinitstraight4162
      @shootinitstraight4162  4 месяца назад +1

      @RangeRoninChronicles
      Thank you sir for the input. Yes, I do recall now reading about the soldiers being taught to point shoot with an extended finger on the frame. I overlooked that on this video.
      The advice I gave regarding the "regrip" includes my comment to avoid that practice "if it's a good grip". If it's NOT a good grip, of course one should regrip.
      Insofar as expressing viewpoints or beliefs, I respect your beliefs and viewpoints here in your comment. However, to disagree with others, or to express my own viewpoints, is not necessarily disrespectful to anyone. At any rate, know that I do respect and welcome your opinions.
      Thank you so much for watching! 👍

    • @RangeRoninChronicles
      @RangeRoninChronicles 4 месяца назад +1

      @@shootinitstraight4162 Happy to have this conversation. The thing about the "frame finger" is a little known fact and easy to forget when we are doing reviews. It is usually not on the list of things when we put these reviews together.
      I agree with expressing viewpoints, it's just a matter of not offending others when we do so. As content creators, we are expected to be courteous in what we say. I have viewed, and no longer view, gun review channels that not only offend the viewer but are also offensive to the senses.
      When my son-in-law first started shooting, I was able to save his hand the first time he fired a 1911. He did a "thumb over" grip on the pistol. Luckily, I caught it and reminded him that the slide comes back forcefully and one's thumb should not be there when it does. Another time, the first time he picked up a revolver, he was using the forefinger of the support hand to hold the front of the trigger guard, because of his large hands. Fortunately, I was also there and explained the "flash gap" and why he should not place his finger on the front strap of the trigger guard. It was one of those, "if you weren't there, you would not appreciate it" moment.
      Keep up the good work!😁
