Contact Wilson , there customer service is excellent. They might make it right to keep you as a customer. A few years ago I sent 8 mags in under warranty. These mags were used in USPSA competition for years. They were beat up pretty good. Wilson sent me 8 brand new mags, then a few weeks later sent me 8 more. I called them and told them about the error, guy said keep 2 send rest back for my trouble. There great mags. There’s an old saying, “ if your gun doesn’t run with Wilson mags, get another gun”

I would order directly from Wilson Combat. But if I was in your situation I would just keep the second order. Wilson Magazines all seem to be excellent in my experience. But if you want what you want and want to go through the time and effort, just order direct from Wilson Combat
Yea, Wilson Combat did a video on that, the one with the view line in the middle is the older version and is less durable. The first one u showed with the ammo view line on the side is the updated more durable model. That person is trying to rip u off.

I purchased two 47d's from academy for like $40 and when I tried to insert them into my Tisas it was a NO GO!!! That little indent that you mentioned is also for it to go past the mag release.I put them in a vise and gave them the slightest of taps in the direct area where they come into contact and bam!!!! it worked like a charm.Thank God I was able to fix that without any bs but I don't really think I should have had to do that!!! How long has WC been in the biz??? They need to get off the weed and tighten up!!! good luck with your dilema's thanks for the vid!!!
This is a new crappy practice in a lot of fields. buy something and the supplier sends something like it, to get rid of it, hoping you wont send it back.
I exclusively run Wilson/vickers tactical mags in my 1911’s.kinda hard to find since Larry got in a bit of trouble.The mag you showed looks like a standard 47D and you ordered the better ones.I get em off Wilson’s web site and never had any issues!
Several years ago I ordered three Wilson Vickers magazines for my Les Baer 1911, direct from Wilson. The follower in all three was too short in the front (or the metal was cut too low) and when empty the follower would pop out and snag on the metal body, making it impossible to close the action or reload the magazine until you fiddled with the follower and got it back in the magazine body. I called Wilson. They said "Our magazines don't work in Les Baer". I tried to explain the magazines wouldn't work when not even inserted in any pistol. I had to pay the return postage to get a refund. Never again.
@mprecure Wow, that's not encouraging! I've generally had good luck with Wilson mags over the years. But then again, I've also had good luck with Chip McCormick "shooting star" mags and most mags that come with a Colt.
@josephsaldana2499 Yes, I have an 8 round 47 "D" magazine that had the same problem. I ground down the front floorplate a bit (actually alot!) until it finally fit. But I'm certain that Wilsons will work with you to solve the issue, they have a GREAT C.S. division there.
I have a couple of Wilson Elite Tactical Mags in stock I bought a decade ago. I never paid any attention to the details, so now you have me curious. Have your contacted Wilson to determine if there may be a QC issue on their end?
@Paladin1873 No sir, I'm thinking it's probably more of a packaging issue. The 47D's are being packaged in the ETM packages. I don't know who is in charge of this sort of thing, but they need to get their defecation coagulated, if I may use that sort of euphemistic phraseology... 😉

You are someone who knows exactly what you want. Those companies just sent out Wilson magazines, most people wouldn't have been as astute as you, and just accepted them. My only guess is they are out of them, and just sent you any Wilson magazine. Maybe call Wilson, for an explanation?

Yes, the WC ETM and Vickers mags are top notch for sure. I now go straight to the Wilson site to order my magazines as well.

Doesn’t fit my 1911 tisas A1. The bottom lip of the magazine is too thick. I have two magazines now, wondering if Wilson would take or trade them?
