  • Considering that you may be on a tight budget, or no budget at all, as I am, your choice of 1911 sources will probably dwindle. But, let’s say that you are looking for a quality 1911 at a low price point.
    Well, my friend, I have found a 1911 that you may like, and it’s right around the $500 price point. Say hello to the Tisas 1911 Duty B45.
    Stick with me and I’ll tell you all about the first range day with it.

    Hands down one of the best 1911s I’ve ever owned. I started out with a RIA 1911 then sold it to put the money towards a Tisas 1911 B45 Duty which I had to let go of due to financial issues and then back in January I picked up the Tisas Night Stalker 45 and then today I picked up another Tisas 1911 B45 Duty to replace my original one

      Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I enjoy this one and I am looking toward another; the Tisas 1911 Carry B45.

    Another excellent review. I just picked up this same model at PSA for $349 (my first 1911) 200 rounds through it so far with no problems. I absolutely love it.

      Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. The TISAS line has received a lot of attention, it seems.

    Really nice pistols. And not just "for the money". I put a cylinder and slide trigger kit with an adjustable trigger and a fiber sight on the front. Blacked out the rear sights and love these guns. Since they are forged with only one mim part, this gun should hang aroumd with me for awhile. And I know its controversial, not to me, I always do a full length guide rod as I lile to take the slide off without having to field strip it. 😮

      Thanks for watching and commenting. You must admit, though, that these are quality pistols that are priced reasonably, as compared to some. I don't think that an Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, or even Sig Sauer 1911s are nice pistols "for the money paid". As I stated in my description, "But, let’s say that you are looking for a quality 1911 at a low price point... Should I add, "...and would make a fine foundation for customizing."
      Personally, I did not think that it needed any improvements, although the extractor could use some tuning. It did not like Wilson Combat "Power Mags." The grip panel change was optional, but since I did have a set of grip panels that looked good on the pistol, and feel good in my hands, they were installed.
      If I thought that a TISAS was a poor choice, I would not have ordered the B45 Carry model.
      And, please do a review on yours with the updates. I would like to see how it looks and shoots - seriously, and I am not being facetious. I really like to see what mods folks make to their firearms and how those modes impact the firearm's performance.

      Good morning, Bill! Thanks. I agree with you on the 1911. The Tisas seemed to be a natural pointing pistol. A bit more trigger time with it and this one may find its way int a holster.

      @@Bill-jv5eg Ain't that the truth - even revolvers, at times. Best of luck at the range. For me, I'll be picking my vehicle up from the shop. I could have bought a very nice, and I mean very nice, 1911 for the price this repair cost me.

    Looks like a great economical starter 1911.
    Surprised by the accuracy. Might just be the shooter. LOL

      Thanks for watching and commenting. Both are appreciated. Yes, the Tisas would be a good starter 1911. It seems that it would be a direct competitor with Rock Island Armory.

    I notice you adjust your grip after every shot. Is the recoil that bad on this model?

    • @RangeRoninChronicles
      @RangeRoninChronicles  10 месяцев назад +3

      Thanks for watching and your comment. No, the recoil is not that bad. I have picked up a bad habit at the range of relaxing my grip after each shot - I guess because I am evaluating each shot. When I am shooting for real, my grip does not change. I do this regardless of the handgun I am shooting, pistol or revolver. Perhaps, I need to add a fast string of fire to my range time.

      @@georgelopez16 Thanks for watching and your question. I wish that I could answer it, but I will try. It's either because of some forgotten Chippewa ancestry on my Mother's side -or- my brain has not developed yet enough to push the hair out of my head. 😁I have been letting it grow since COVID hit , and because it upsets the wife that I have more hair than her.

    How many yards?

    • @RangeRoninChronicles
      @RangeRoninChronicles  7 месяцев назад +3

      Thanks for your question, and for watching. I do all my range testing at 7-yards (21 feet) for brevity when doing videos. I do practice at different distances (usually 15-yards and 25-yards), but that is with handguns that I am carrying full-time. Don't take my range evaluation as indicative of the true potential of a firearm, there are far better shooters than I. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to spend with a firearm, as some reviewers do. I also don't have a lot of money to spend on ammunition. I have to just do the best that I can with what I have in a short period of time.
      If you are concerned with the accuracy of the TISAS, you need not be. It is as accurate as any other 1911 that I have.
