    Thank you so much for posting this video! I have been searching for a pet door for my cats and ordered a product I was less than thrilled with from Amazon. The door I originally ordered did have security issues with not being able to secure my existing door properly. But this little device eliminates that issue, and your video was very helpful with how to install install. And at a fraction of the price for the door I originally ordered, and have now returned. Thank you!

    Thanks for the video! We're tired of the flies that come in when the dog opens the screen door! We ordered it! can't wait either. We already have a metal mesh over the screen to keep the dog from tearing the screen with claws. We will just cut the mesh and the screen and it should be perfect. Now, the grand children will get to play with it too, I'm sure.

      @@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman I have a rottweiler. last nite she pushed the corner of the screen out of the bottom of the screen door and made herself a doggie door. second time she has done it. aluminum screen but its still not fun putting it back in the grooves. I dont want her going out unless I let her cause I am on 15 acres and at nite its not safe out there for her. she has a bell hanging by the door and she rang it and I took her out on a leash cause it was dark but she still wanted to go out again and got tired of me telling her no. gonna have to put a guard on it wondering if those flaps keep rattlesnakes out too or not. guess it is strictly a country thing

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman

      Thank you so much! Honestly we don’t have it anymore because we got a Great Dane and that didn’t work out too well once he got a few months old! He tried… but he out grew it quick. It never broke or anything. As a matter of fact the track of the door itself actually went bad before the flap door! If and when we only have a small dog (I’m not rushing that)….. I’d buy one again!

      Your track has the ability to add a sliding screen door. Go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and they will be able to assist you. Measure your height and width of the sliding door before you go. Then doggy door is available in the link in the video description to my amazon affiliate account. Thanks and hope that helps some!!!

      Hey there! I’m sure they can but if you put it higher they might not bother with it. I couldn’t honestly answer that as I’m sure they can find their way into the house anyway they can! Is does also lock so you can keep shut when you don’t want it used.

      Thanks! I didn’t want to go too low otherwise it would loose structural rigidity from the screen and rip off the base seam. For as long as we had the door it worked perfectly. Just watched this video as I was looking at this door on Amazon. I have a few questions. Is it still working okay? Is there any way mice could push open the door and get access into your home o?

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  Год назад

      So I do not use it anymore for only one reason. We have a Great Dane and he won’t fit! LoL. It worked perfectly up until we had to go a different route. It opens extremely easy and mice are extremely smart and strong. Working FT at a pet store and knowing what I know….. I would say yes…. BUT… the odds of that happening are probably extremely low. It does have a locking tab that you can flip so the door doesn’t move. I highly recommend this for any small dog or cat. I do have a link in the description to my affiliate account. Thanks tor watching!!!

    FYI dogs have natural instincts they are pretty smart and if they see something outside they will find a way to get outside and they will use the doggy door by themselves. They don't need help. FYI one idea I recommend for the purple watching this video is put some food outside and I guarantee you they will get through that doggy door without a problem

      We don’t leave the door open 24/7 but it sure did beat letting bugs in when you slide the door open. During the Fall/winter/spring we just let him out and come back when he wanted. Summertime we would shut the slider until he was ready unless it wasn’t too bad out .
