Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning.

Very nice Carl! Once in a while oak will surprise you. I picked up a log from the side of the road that I thought was oak, When I started cutting it with the chainsaw I got a "surprise". It turned into flame box elder!

Really nice, Carl. I have a lot of red oak on my property here in Ohio and it's my favorite wood for flat work. I was waiting for the famous Carl twist on turning but you played it straight this time lol.

Really beautiful Carl! I love it! Oak is abundant here in my property in Northern Minnesota, so I’ve started using more and more of it. I just cut down a huge dead one that has a stained spider pattern, similar to Ambrosia Maple.
