Nice lidded box. I was off work today and did a search for a lidded box that I could spend a couple of hours on at the lathe. Yours popped up and was just the project I was looking for. Great progressive tutorial video that is very instructive. Thumbs up!

Very nice little box. We used to call them off cut boxes as they are a great way of making something nice from little offcuts . The box under my bench is full of useable offcuts just waiting to be made into delightful little boxes like this.

Hi Mike. A lovely piece and I think the beading works very well. I was visited by a fellow turner last week who wanted a closer look at my Axminster AT1628vs. He very kindly gave me a lovely piece of spalted beech and I've been thinking of what to make with it. Your video has inspired me to have a go at my first lidded box. All I need now is a piece of ebony.
