I love that you had to come out as cisgender 🤣
😂
Ive found that a lot of hate comes from jealousy, lack-of-understanding, deflection, and a sense of perceived inferiority. You're intelligent, VERY well spoken, kind, and last but not least handsome, so people will probably always send hate your way unfortunately. I'm glad hate comments no longer get to you, here's hoping we can all get to that place one day.
A comliment for someone else:
If you’re here it means that you’re already better than all the homophobes and transphobes out there so don’t think badly about yourself. Also I automatically am your friend you can’t do anything about it.
A compliment for Cory:
This is the best shirt I’ve ever seen holy shit where is it from? Also a great video, as always.
Thank you - I also will force you into being friends- sounds much worse than it is - I promise
Also I love the t shirt - I would love it and it looks great
That’s so sweet!! You’re a good egg ❤️
Thank you for being my frieeeend😊😊♥♥ Also completely agree about the shirt lol
I 100% agree with your comments about debates. I once entered and won a debate competition where i was arguing against the legalisation of Marijuana. Most of my points were either straight up lies or selective truths and i still won because the point never was whose argument is correct but who made the best argument.
I feel so seen by the entire mixed race/black part. I'm always considered black until I point out something related to racism, then people start counting my pigments to determine whether I am black enough to call them out on their racist BS. Gatekeeping and colourism within black communities are very real, too. I've had quite some insecurities about my light brown skin tone, especially as I also have pigment issues related to vitiligo which give me spots that are fairly bright (thankfully not on my face, except for one spot under my jaw). Makes me feel like I'm stitched together, not black, not white, something weird inbetween.
I relate to this so much. Even if I'm not fully black, i have trouble accepting my skin tone and I'm not black enough to be considered black.
1. There is nothing wrong with being feminine, It's so funny when they try to use it as an insult
2. I don't think you look feminine, I would say you look pretty masculine
3. Everytime I hear someone say "you look like a girl" all I hear is "you look pretty" lmao so I would take that as a compliment
YES ABOUT THE DEBATE THING!! I once convinced a room of 8th graders who spent their free time bullying me to vote for me in a waterboarding debate where I was assigned to argue *pro waterboarding*. I am not pro waterboarding, I AM good at debate, I won the debate and was *still wrong*.
In high school Model UN, I was awarded Best Delegate in a Game of Thrones theme Crisis Committee where I was playing *Cersei Lannister*. Do I like Cersei Lannister? No who the fuck do you think I am?? I played her cutthroat, fake, and ruthless, did my job as delegate, and won. Felt terrible about it, but was given sooo much praise.
I was in a Martian Revolution theme Crisis Committee at a different MUN conference and a kid there (who had a voice like a radio announcer and speech skills like a seasoned politician) basically double crossed the entire committee for his own power gain. I was the delegate who discovered and called him out on the scandal. He received Best Delegate while I only received an honorable mention during the awards. I respect the *fuck* out of that kid and believe he absolutely deserved to win.
I was assigned to represent Russia in a GA assembly. I did. Based on *Russia’s actual political positions*. The committee was about Decolonization, so you KNOW that shit sucked. I won Best Position Paper in the committee for arguing Russia’s points; because they were good politics? No. Because they were good papers. That’s it.
“Right” and “wrong” don’t really matter in the world of politics and debate, it’s about confidence/strategy/preparedness/ruthlessness/likability/resources. Just because someone seemed to win an argument does not mean they had the correct (moral) side.
Super important that people understand this is common!!!
It surprises me that "you are not black enough" is such a common criticism within the realm of hate comments you get. The internet always seems pretty US-centric, where discriminatory racist laws classed anyone with a single black ancestor as black way into the 20th century. Maybe another issue that the US-centrism causes is the understanding of blackness being synonymous with African Americans only and having to encompass that cultural identity instead of, say, a Scottish accent.
ah, you see, i’m black when they want me to be & not black enough when that’s beneficial
@@stillnotcorry I see. The internet can be a very frustrating place. Although it seems like you've come to a point where you can laugh at hate comments, which makes me glad.
I've had a phone call like tht with someone on Snpcht and he said he left Michigan for Arizona because of all the emo "walruses" and trans people in Michigan. It was so hilarious. I mean, Michigan is a pretty conservative state, and there are very few trans people here, me being one of them. He called me a walrus because I listened to Skillet, Sanctus Real, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch, etc at the time. After tht ridiculous call, I looked up walrus and turns out, it was a meme to harass emo and goth people. Wow, tht kid was just wow. Lmao.
Can just say, corry really rocks the nose ring. It looks great on him!!
2:04 - So proud of you for coming out as cis, slay king 😍😍
you were so nice at noah’s show! my friends are still talking abt how sweet you were
Not gonna really talk about the comments cause they were absurd. 🤣🤣 Just gonna compliment you cause you asked us to give compliments to someone and I choose you ♥️(aww). You are intelligent, well versed, talented, hilarious and handsome. Jesucristo, I’m a fangirl. 😐 😂😂
How did you comment 6 days ago??? I'm confusion
@@silviatellez7024 I had early access thanks to his Patreon! ☺️
@@danitotd oh that makes sense, thanks for answering!
@@silviatellez7024 no problem! 😁
compliment for cory: i like ur dinosaur shirt
There's only one comment worth making in response to the opening line of this video:
Who could possibly find a reason to hate on Corry?!? THAT is disturbing.
My mother got mad bc there's a monkeypox vaccine rollout. People are DYING
A compliment for someone else: my grandma makes really good quiche.
A compliment for you: you have a very nice shirt on today.
A compliment for me: I’m very good at giving compliments.
i agree with all of this
@@thenetherbaddie9760 You haven’t even had my grandma’s quiche (to my knowledge) but I appreciate that you agree with me anyway!
@@coena9377 so? bet it's a banger ass quiche.
@@nicreven hell yeah friend, the best quiche I’ve ever had by a long shot.
@@coena9377 I've never even HAD a quiche before!
Describe it.
Just gonna try to cancel out the hate comments by saying I really like your content and how you explain things in an ingaging way, especially in Sci guys. Also love the dinos! 👌
I LOVE your shirt!
Same thing happens to me. I make a video supporting trans people or even gay people so, I obviously must be either of those things.
People who are sexist are the ones who think feminine is an insult.
I am actually glad to hear people are insulting you for the way you look. I thought that was only done to women.
True gender equality is when everyone gets insulted for their looks regardless
😌✊
@@laurieleaf9465 Good point.
corry !! your shirt is super cool !!!
For my compliment I've chosen everyone. My outfit was really nice today. Corry is as charming as always, his smile has made my day. You reading this, I'm glad you woke up today, it probably doesn't seem like much but glad you're here
This is gonna be weird, but you thanking us for waking up is just...thank you...my life is shit rn, so this makes me so happy :)
@@Angryand5ft4 I've been in some rough spots and sometimes opening your eyes in the morning feels like a chore and you just don't wanna do it. It's ok, you're doing ok, things will get better eventually and getting up will get easier. I hope today is kind to you
@@TRexRAWWR1 It was an okay day, but yeah, waking up sometimes is hard. I hope you're doing okay
Sex cauldron lol
Also super interesting discussion of race and blackness in the middle there. I'm from Australia, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people come up against SO much on the internet, often tiktok, mostly from Americans over their use and reclamation of the words/identities blak/black/blackness. A lot of people need to learn that their culture is not the only one. What is socially accepted is different in different places and times.
16:16 it cracks me up that Corry has liked that comment.
These kinds of hate comments just reminds me of this one girl I’ve known for years and years….yes that is a bad thing because all of that is stuff she would say, minus actually constructed sentences
Haven't even started the video yet but I am LOVING the dinosaur shirt and needed to say so, positively immaculate vibes
Complement for you: I like your dinosaur shirt!
Was gonna say this before you asked for compliments but your t shirt is amazing and I love it
I look really good in my new dress
happy birthday corry! i know its not your birthday but happu birthday!
I don't understand how people can call you "feminine". Unless they are using "feminine" as a synonym for "smart". To me you appear to be clearly masculine, and your Scottish accent is a pleasure to hear.
Why do these people think feminine is an insult? Not that my opinion matters, but you don’t seem very feminine to me, so those comments are so confusing.
Man, you have the best shirts.
"Dinosaurs are cool, transphobia are not." I love your shirt Corry.
I'm going to compliment the Sci Guys podcast because it's so good. Also that's a cool shirt! 🦕
To quote the Big Lebowski re: nose rings being shit: "That's just, like, your opinion, man."
A compliment for you Corry: You have a strong constitution about you. You seem very healthy king!
the "you have a weak constitution about you" one is SO FUNNY
As an Irish Mexican, living in the UK, I want to adopt you to replace my half brother 😂
Any argument like “your view count / sub count is lower than theirs so you can’t talk about them” etc. is so stupid. If you’re punching up, and being critical of those equal or “above” you, it’s most likely just criticism. If you’re extremely critical of someone “below” you, kicking down, you could be perceived as a bully easier. (Not that these are fair, but it’s kinda how it goes).
Also: sex cauldron?!!!
I want that shirt- it’s so cute
I am a big fan of that dinosaur t-shirt
I like the dinosaurs on that shirt! They're really vibing in space
i've come to understand that the feminine-masculine spectrum is very different in the u.s.- here the main factors are gender, race, skin color, + features. i imagine those are also factors in the u.k. fem-masc spectrum, however, the spectrum itself is just...different. the thresholds, for lack of better words. LOL
my first realization was when i recognized an example of how i'd internalized that spectrum. someone i read as queer suddenly read as cishet once i realized they were from the u.k. + not the u.s.
recognizing that for what it was but not yet having all the language or connected all the dots, i looked into more + yea...the spectrum is different. LOL
i can see people reading Corry as feminine for a Black man in the u.s. (despite not being from the u.s.); for various reasons, Black men in the u.s. are often socialized to be hypermasculine, which Corry is not. ergo: Corry→feminine, + yes, feminine = insult. 🙄 🤡💩
EDIT. spelling.
I'm mixed half Indian/ half Black BUT I never just refer to myself of just one because of my family and how I was raised. Society (I live in the U.S) values me as black (specifically African-American which my black side is not) and I cannot change that. So I just have to ignore it or correct it and make sure that I don't let others define me.
Also: my dad has always said “it takes two generations to rule out a race basically saying that the child's connection with one race tends to weaken as the family line continues to reproduce with one race and carry their traditions.(I definitely experience this as a mixed kid)
Corry your t-shirt is awesome 😁
Corry seems like a genuinly cool person, also, the piercings are cool as heck :)
I think you're very fair and non-reactionary in your videos and responses to things. It's very refreshing.
My dude you are simply a cool person and I really enjoy your content- truly sorry that bigots are stupid😭
where'd you get that shirt? I want it. I need more all-over print shirts. I want an all-over print floral shirt in trans colors but I haven't found a good one...
For someone else: thanks for being a part of this strange little adventure we call life :)
It's great to see how confidently you're responding to these comments 🙌💕 You are indeed smart as hellll and pretty charismatic tbh
Absolutely on the debate thing. I grew up debating and watching debates with my parents and the biggest thing I learned with myself is that if I have the passion and energy in my words to pull people in it won't matter if I'm right.
I didn't understand the Irish Mexican thing. Prob because I'm literally Irish and Mexican-native american.American. and to add to your earlier point, I don't have the lived experience of white Irish person. I do have the lived experience of a native american-mexican tho because that is what ppl see when they look at me. They don't see the Irish. Idk how this is hard for ppl to understand seeing as all you have to do is use your eyes as everyone else does. Ppl treat you according to the race you look like.
I could listen to corry saying gibberish as long as I can hear his voice.
corry you have pretty hair
I love your content dude! Especially Sci Guys, I have frequently burst out laughing in public and looked like an absolute maniac so thanks I guess 😂
Your shirt is flipping cool dude
hitting a tree with a stick is like hitting a human with a baby
I love your podcast it's amazing!
Always lovely to see a video from you, Corry.
Love your reactions, it's fun to see how you rank them and you made a lot of good points in between each of them, as well.

Okay, you have cool piercings :)

Looove the shirt omg!
Your shirt is amazing!
whoever is reading this looks dapper and sweet
To anyone reading this, you are the only you in this world. Dont waist time proferming for others. Dont sum your lived expirience as being your deffinition. You can define yourself any way you need and no one can tell you who you are. So be you. And if you are unsafe to be you, its ok to defend yourself as you find a safe way to express yourself. Your true family are the people who you can be you with.
I absolutely love your shirt. Where did you get it? 💖🦖
I know it's not the right time, but I love your shirt

Also I like ur shirt
I like your shirt, it's cool! Wait, is there a Corry channel I'm missing? *goes digging* People calling you feminine is odd to me. Maybe they say that because you have piercings? Because you're not perfectly straight? Because you don't have a super deep voice? Weirdos.
i like your shirt very nice
ik im late but love you
sex cauldron!!?
also this video is particularly aesthetically pleasing to me for some reason
it may be the dinosaur shirt
You are an amazing and beautiful and cute and undeniably outstanding person and I hope you have a good day
