The poop skin one is amazing. I was once really hurt by someone saying that my skin looks how it does because I fell into a toilet full of poop when I was a baby, and it stained my skin brown. I was a kindergartner, and so was the little asshole who said this to/about me.
If a whole adult human said this to me now, I would laugh so hard. All this was just to demonstrate how juvenile that commentor's racism is.

I work in cosmetics. Make favorite things is shade matching foundations for people. I legitimately don’t understand how people can think brown and black skin is ugly. I different shades of dark skin are so nuanced and beautiful. I see reds, oranges, yellows, and olive tones in dark skin. You see that in white skin, but not to the same degree. Like I’m literally just peach, oh except under my eyes which is purple like a bruise. Love that for me 😂
I never understand what people mean by "olive toned" skin. Like, if you look like an olive I think you have a problem...
@@conlon4332olive toned is talking about your undertone. It’s not that your skin is green, but the color temperature of your skin is pretty neutral or an olive color. Warm toned skin is often a lot warmer and colorful well cooled toned skin is a lot more wintery. So an person with an olive toned skin has a warmish undertone that can make the skin look the slightest bit green. It’s not that you look like an olive lol
It’s actually quite a beautiful tone and your undertone can actually help you understand what makeup, jewelry and clothing colors look “best” on you.

I have pierced ears (one piercing in each ear) and I'm content with them. I actually had them pierced the first time when I was 18 in the mall and it was so bad that I actually had to let them fully heal back up to stop having problems. Then I went to a tattoo parlor to have it done properly and haven't had any issues since!
I have ear gauges and have considered getting a nose piercing (not sure which yet), but haven’t gotten around to it. Someday, mayhaps.

i dont have a piercing at the moment. got my ears pierced when i was little - took em out and never let my mum put them back in. my most recent, a helix, did well until it created a blood blister near the end of it's healing process, got all swollen, and had to be taken out.

I only have my ears pierced, once each. I used to have a second hole in one of my ears (I don't even remember which rn) but it closed. I also had a belly button piercing but it never healed right (tried to let it heal for over a year) so I took it out and it closed.

I do have piercings! I have a piercing plan and I get one part of the piercing plan done each year, I had to wait two years for a few because I needed parental consent. I have a vertical labret, septum, both my ears and next I plan to get vertical angel bites. After all that I want a bridge, two more nose piercings, and a belly button piercing :)

I have my tongue pierced, and my ears gaged. I've not thought of "mulatto" as a slur, because I was taught that is the appropriate term for someone who's parents were not both black. These comments make it CLEAR that it is being used as a slur. So, honest query, is there an appropriate term to use for this? Admittedly, the only reason I know about Corry is because he's said it before. I would otherwise have probably just called him "a black guy" (might have actually done so lol) if I've deemed that an important reference.
If that's the definition, it's for-sure, a slur, bc I only ever heard someone call themselves mixed or half black, or just black. Race is arbitrary, so I go with how they self-identify.
"Mulatto" sounds like the human version of "mutt." Although from a biological standpoint, mixed breed dogs are more healthy or at least have less chances for complications. So it's weird how racism effects how we see animal breeds.
@@SLYKM Good heavens, I never thought of it as sounding like mutt! I thought (when I was taught the word) that it sounded fancy. Which is probably why I thought it was OK. At the same time as I was taught that, I was told you shouldn't use the term "oreo" to refer to such people. I don't think I ever did that, because that just felt icky and degrading to me immediately (and I apologize for even typing it). I grew up using 'coon as an abbreviation for raccoon, and the first time I said it to someone they declared they didn't know I was racist, and I was very confused. There were no black folk (I'm not sure there was anyone who wasn't white) in the tiny town I grew up in, so I had never heard racially-related slurs unless they were pointed out on TV.
