Just a suggestion regarding BMW battery locations, The charger leads should be connected at the battery, away from the jump posts under the hood. This allows the battery to absorb the charge and pulsating closest to the power source. Attaching to the jump posts puts the pulsing closer to the computer modules and possibly lead to computer failure. This has happened to me on my 330ci, so I speak from experience. Ideally, removing the battery cables from the battery and then run the charger is the safest, esp if the battery needs a long charge. There is one caveat, depending on the year of the BMW, 12V needs to be maintained to the computer modules to retain configuration. There are various ways to supply 12v to the car when removing the battery cables. I use an adapter that plugs into the OBD2 port and a 12v power supply. I use the NOCO 1 to maintain and keep my beemer in tip-top condition. Got to love those NOCO's!

Yes you can connect this charger, Only thing is it will take longer time to charge the battery than the rated time of the charger, Time of charge depends on the size of battery. Hope this helps you. More DIY & Mods coming soon, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
I have a question I just bought this right….how does the device charge or hold charged so it can be used on the road?? It has a regular 2 prong plug but if I’m on the road and need to use this and my car battery is done…what am I connecting this to?
Hi, This charger doesn't hold the charge, It's a charger to maintain battery while the car is not in use, So the battery doesn't get drained and damaged while not in use for long periods of time. Even if it's 2 prong you can still use this on a 3 prong power outlet to charge our battery, It connects to both 2 or 3 prong power outlet. Hope this answer your questions, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
Mine is flashing back-and-forth between the power light and agm light. Can't find out anywhere what that means. It will do it a few times and then I will unplug it mess with it for a minute and then it will start charging again
Jeff Geyer, Yes, the NOCO Genius 2 charges deep cycle batteries also, as long as it's either 6V or 12V, There should be no problem in charging your your Interstate 24M-EFB (12V). Thanks for watching!!!👍
When LED is pulsing green, Then it's 100% charged and on maintenance mode. More DIY & Mods coming soon, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
I have CTEK also and I know that it's better than the Genius 2, But I prefer my Genius 5 or 10 than the CTEK because it has repair mode unlike the CTEK. Thanks for watching!!!👍
Great review, I just checked Noco's website, it states that the Genius 2 has a repair mode to desulfate your batttery, did they come out with this feature on the latest chargers?
@@edcardiy My mistake, I checked the Noco website and it only detects and fixes sulfation. I am confused how that is different then repair mode. Can a Noco 5 or 10 also repair an AGM battery?
Genius 5 & 10 repair mode has it's own step by step process on repairing the battery, not just only fixing sulfation like the Genius 2. Yes it can also repair AGM battery.
I think it should be Ok, I left mine last time for 2 months and it was OK (just my opinion). More DIY & Mods coming soon, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
Hi riderzinc, Yes I agree, the manual indicate 40Ah for 15 hrs of charging, But it can be used also on higher Ah, My battery is 90Ah & the Genius 2 charged it but it took longer than 15hrs to complete the charge. Video coming soon about the Genius 1 and another video about Genius 1 , 2, 5 & 10 comparison, Stay tuned for that. Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
This charger is good , BUT the bad side is that if you dont have access to a inlet / port , its usless, i dont have a house, so it wouldn't work for me..
That is the problem for most of the people that park their car on the street, You can just start your car once in a while for about 10min. to recharge the battery if you rarely use your car. More DIY & Mods coming soon, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
@@edcardiy I've searched the internet and couldn't find an adapter to even plug in the noco genius gb70 jumper, the once apond of time $200 jumper pack doesn't even has an inlet port to plug things like this, only two bullshit USB ports to charge the device itself and cell phones, as i said, its a big convenience to whom has a house, not someone whom doesnt....you'll have to buy a portable power pack which defeats the purpose...
@@knightrider3766What? I have a NOCO Gb40 jump starter… you don’t need any additional accessories other than the clamps it comes with. Used it perfectly fine on my BMW..
Yes you can but you are forcing voltage to go to your charger, because of the alternator giving power to the car and the battery, That can damage the charger. It's better to remove the charger first then start the can. Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!👍
If you have the standard maintenance free battery (flooded) first mode is always set-up to standard mode, But if you have AGM then select AGM from the mode. After that it will always go back to the last setting. More DIY & Mods coming soon, Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE and Thanks for watching!!!👍
