    Thanks! I watched a few of your videos, I found them very informative and useful. I had already made up my mind on which to purchase when I watched the comparison video of the different units. However, I wanted to take a look at this dedicated video to the 10 before I did my final purchase. Done! The Genius10 is now ordered. Unfortunately, I could not use your affiliate link as I am in Canada - The US$ to Can$ and shipping time offered has no benefit. Sorry! I can only offer my sincere appreciation. Thanks/Cheers!!!

      @@edcardiy I also e-maild to NOCO support. They sent me some information that I think might be useful for NOCO Genuis users::
      "Both the GENIUS5 and GENIUS10 vary their voltage and amperage during the charge cycle depending on what stage of the cycle the charger is in. During the bulk portion of the charge cycle, both chargers reach their maximum current. When looking to run repair mode on a battery, we recommend charging the battery first as repair mode is more effective on charged batteries. Every battery has a maximum charge current it is able to accept. If the charger is within the battery's range, it would cause normal wear".

    Great review Ed, if I replace my Schumacher manual charger with a SMART charger, I am buying the NOCO Genius Charger or a Pulsetech charger, I am still on the fence on which one is better, however I don't think the Pulsetech has a force mode to charge a dead battery that is at zero volts, like the Noco Genius 1, 2, 5 and 10 have.

    • @edcardiy

      Random Views, Try to reset the charger, here is the procedure.
      To reset the charger's memory, you'll first need to have the charger connected to a battery. Plug the charger into AC power, and use the Mode button to put the unit into Standby with the Orange Power LED lit, and then unplug the charger from AC power again. When it is plugged in next, it should remain in Standby and not automatically go into a charging mode.
      Hope this helps.

    Good day. I would like to ask you for a piece of advice. I'm struggling to find a decent car charger. There are so many options, can you help me out, please? I've got 95A AGM battery in my car. I want a charger I don't have to keep an eye on with maintenance functions to keep my battery in a good condition. I may also need to charge another 90A AGM battery and 120A acid battery. I heard about noco and ctek and they both have cons as far as i got. Ctek build is not that good and noco may heat up a battery. I would like my battery to be safe with a charger so I can leave it for a night unattended. It's for a range rover with a bunch of electronics, the battery is in the trunk and I dont want to take it out every time, but there are connectors under the hood,that's where I want to connect a charger and to be sure all the electronics are safe. Budget is under 150$. Thank you beforehand

    • @edcardiy
      @edcardiy  Год назад +1

      I have both CTEK & NOCO, In my opinion I prefer the the NOCO because of the repair mode and 12volt supply mode, The price is excellent too.
      If you just want to maintain your battery, I prefer the NOCO Genius 2, But if you want a bit faster charger & repair mode, get the NOCO Genius 5.
      If you want the fastest (excellent for charging dead battery) & repair mode w/ 12volt supply mode, Get the NOCO Genius 10.

Do I need to put it in repair mode? And will repair mode work for agm battery? Lmk asap plz, Thank You! fall back, the difference between the 2 are, the 12v mode is for charging the battery while the NOCO monitors and charge it according to the condition of the battery.
      And the 12v supply mode is a 12v power source constantly delivering 12v to power up anything that requires 12v (ie, toys, motor, electronic) without the NOCO controlling the 12v power output.

But if it's 12 VDC, it means that it is a direct current (DC= direct current) like a battery, all batteries are DC.

This is only for larger batteries it has no variable charging amperage. eg 2 Amp, 5 AMP, 10 AMP, 20 AMP etc you have to purchase separate charger that have limited size restrictions eg the Noco 2 Amp charger is limited to a 40 AH battery max etc.............Noco 5 Amp is limited to a 120 AH battery max......
