- If you are looking to install macOS on another computer, then you first need to create a bootable MacOS USB installer drive with the macOS version of your preference. In this video, I am showing you how to do it by using macOS Monterey, as it's the latest major macOS release by Apple at the time of making this video.
Please, make sure that your USB stick is at least 16GB of storage. In case you are looking to purchase a new USB stick, here are my top recommendations:
► SanDisk 128GB (USB 2.0) 11.49$ - amzn.to/3xjc0BV
► Samsung 32GB (USB 3.1) 9.49$ - amzn.to/3cFFPDf
If you are a MacBook user and you only have USB Type-C ports and you need an adaptor to plug in your USB, I am recommending the following options:
► USB-C to USB (pack of 2) 9.99$ - amzn.to/3xfBOyW
► USB-C Hub 7 ports including 3 USB 17.99$ - amzn.to/3cGA5cn
This method also works with an external hard drive. If you are looking to use an external hard drive, this article will help you better understand how to purchase the best external hard drive on budget by including my favorite recommendations for you: www.techlunar.com/article/how...
Please, keep in mind that you need at least about 15GB of storage if you are looking to download the latest macOS version. Here's an article which may help you free up space in your Mac in case you are running out of space: www.techlunar.com/how-to/free...

It worked, thank you.
Nice video George!! ☺️
Thank you, hope it helped! 🙏
Thanks a lot for posting this. I found your video extremely informative however, I hope you can help me with the following; I was running a mac 5,1 with high Sierra using a Radeon RX 560 graphics card. I want to update to Monterrey but I don't have access to the boot screen. I created a bootable USB drive and I have an empty SSD, how can I force the mac to boot from the USB in order to complete the OS install and continue to use the RX 560 graphics card? I am sure I'm not the only person with this issue... Thanks
Very nice video
Dude can't find the article which contains the macOS downloaded link please help me out
So..... I had to use an older Mac to access the older version of MacOS I wanted. Once downloaded I tried your instructions but kept getting the -69888 0 when wiping the stick. After some digging I discovered that trying another USB stick is needed. Used a better quality stick and then it worked like a charm.
Can I do this method for putting Monterey on a 2010 MBP that’s unsupported now??
I currently used open core legacy patcher to put Monterey on the Mac, but if I need to use a flash drive to boot it later if I have problems, what’s the proper way to ready the flash drive for this?
SUPER!
You didn’t post the link to the article with the terminal commands.
why does my MBP NOT have "GUID Partition Map" Option????? what am I doing wrong???? Running Monterey 12.6.7...trying to format 16 GIG Scandisk USB stick?
What macOS are you running
My good friend , my Install keeps stopping at 13% and I do not see the WIFI logo in the top right I'm not sure if it's trying to download something and stopping as it's not connected any guidance..
Will this work for installing on PCs? or just Apple hardware?
Can’t find th link of macOS download
What do you have to do to use the macOS bootable usb for a windows computer so that I can have macOS on that computer.
For that, you enter the world of Hackintosh. I have no experience with that, but information abounds on the 'net for how to set up, install and run versions of Mac OS X or macOS on your PC.
where is the link to the article you have posted 1000 links for other stuff but no the article. :(
Here it is :) www.techlunar.com/article/how-to-buy-best-external-hard-drives-2021
