After so many years on Windows, I bought a MacBook Air. I left everything to its default settings knowing I will clutter it like my PCs and notebooks if I attempt to customize it.
Sure, I can totally relate - I also leave most of my Mac settings / icons and stuff on default.

great tips, for 11 you can also cmd+J to get the menu a little faster too plus you can hotswap between folders as you go around changing them on the fly and it'll always know which one you're wanting to change without having to close and re-open the menu every time. 💯

This has got to be the best way of customizing your Mac. I think I mite start using my Mac more then iPad
I just bought a macbook pro and loving it so far.
The only problem for me is the keyboard layout right now as I'm used to windows keyboard layout.
Other than that no real issues for me.

For the app icons, it works also with the native Mac apps, like Safari or Pages. You just need the password or Touch ID

Thank you for watching! You mean general customization options or changing the app icon? The app icon change sadly is only possible with third-party apps not downloaded from the AppStore...

Thank you! Yep, just click on them and hit the Backspace/delete key. This deletes your new icon and resets it to the original one.
