I'm an Apple engineer on the MacOS team, 4:00 this is not necessary, your Macbook is already designed to manage battery health. It is recommended that you do not install 3rd party apps as it might interfere with the solutions we've already built into the OS.
Why would limiting how much % my battery gets charged be a bad thing, compared to what apple programed? Also, what does apple program to preserve battery life and what is the difference? To my knowledge, my mac charges my battery up to 80%, then it will predict when I will use my laptop next and charge it up to 100% when that time is close. Is that correct? If yes, I think this is good, but i'd also like to manually control my battery to be only charged up to 80%. I'd love to hear your reply as a macos engineer!
hey kinda unrelated to the video subject, but got the keyboard of my base 13 inch m2 replaced and now the fourth speaker sounds distort/garbled, and the guy that opened it up says it not possible to fix that, is that true?

Yes! As they have built in menu bar date, heic to jpg, pdf merging and bulk renaming… Zs are getting dumber. If a function requires minimum thinking or if it’s not flashing in front of them they won’t find it.
There is no real harm in keeping your MacBook Pro connected to the charger when it's just sitting on your desk. In fact, allowing the battery to drain significantly repeatedly puts more wear and tear on the battery chemistry than keeping it plugged in. macOS has built-in features to optimize charging so that you don't need to micromanage it. Just use and enjoy your Mac as intended. Don't babysit it.
I moved to Warsaw Poland a few years ago and saw a guy in a cafe do it . He went to the counter to get another coffee and i joined him and commented on it. Hi Andrew, I recently shifted from Windows to MacOS. Your tips for MacBooks are constructive. I have many playlists from my Windows laptop and want to use them on my MacOS, but I don't know which app is best. Please suggest the best free ones apart from Apple Music. I appreciate your feedback.
