I'm an Apple engineer on the MacOS team, 4:00 this is not necessary, your Macbook is already designed to manage battery health. It is recommended that you do not install 3rd party apps as it might interfere with the solutions we've already built into the OS.

      how about batfi apps?

    • @jayroux5338
      @jayroux5338 3 месяца назад +3

Why would limiting how much % my battery gets charged be a bad thing, compared to what apple programed? Also, what does apple program to preserve battery life and what is the difference?
To my knowledge, my mac charges my battery up to 80%, then it will predict when I will use my laptop next and charge it up to 100% when that time is close. Is that correct? If yes, I think this is good, but i'd also like to manually control my battery to be only charged up to 80%.
I'd love to hear your reply as a macos engineer!

I would add some more Apps I Can’t Live Without:
    1) Pixelmator Pro - the best Photoshop Alternative for Mac
    2) Craft - Awesome for taking Notes
    3) Speed Player for Safari - to adjust speed of any Video
    4) 1Blocker for Safari - to block any ads
    5) Encrypto - to secure folders with a password
    6) Rectangle - a free App to adjust window size easy and with shortcuts too
    7) AppCleaner - delete Apps completely with all files
    8) ColorFolder - free App to give all folders colors
    9) Downie - dowload any video from web
These apps are the reason why I can't go back to Windows ever again

There is no real harm in keeping your MacBook Pro connected to the charger when it's just sitting on your desk. In fact, allowing the battery to drain significantly repeatedly puts more wear and tear on the battery chemistry than keeping it plugged in. macOS has built-in features to optimize charging so that you don't need to micromanage it. Just use and enjoy your Mac as intended. Don't babysit it.

I have 2 monitors, and sometimes when I click on a new app "window" and use keyboard shortcuts, the last previous active window still takes those, even though I clicked on a different app, sort of like the "focus" doesn't switch fast enough, it would be awesome if it could be set to switch on mouse focus, I believe the default is "cmd+click" and wait a couple seconds, and then the app is on focus, do you know a way to change this?

I moved to Warsaw Poland a few years ago and saw a guy in a cafe do it . He went to the counter to get another coffee and i joined him and commented on it. He said ,’ oh it’s safe here, we are in Poland not the UK etc. I was amazed. I love it. But then it is a high trust society and not multicultural either so that helps.

MacOS has the ability to convert images to JPEG or PNG directly, you just need to right click > Quick action > Convert image
