I thought this was another one of those foreign ai chat useless tech videos, until it was the opposite and I feel like I found a gem of a content creator, thank you.
You have saved my Mac!!! I have an old mac mini late 2009 that had an os currupted on it. It took me weeks of trial and error, then your video made it so simple and easy and it just worked!! 😊
Thanks for your content man, you saved my Mac, I'm currently flashing Sierra to my USB Flash Drive, running Sonoma OpenCore is soooooooooo slow on my MacBook Pro from mid-2010
Been struggling with this for 2 days now. The terminal commands were another obstacle. After a full day of researching and watching videos, the command in your description is the only thing that helped me progress. Bro I really appreciate this video and wish you the best!!!!
Well actually, I was able to successfully create the boot installer. Doing this on a mac mini that's running Catalina 10.15 I believe. The device I'm installing on is a Macbook Pro 2018 I believe(Sierra 10.12). I'm able to boot and select boot installer but once it's time to install i get a quick error stating file could be damaged. I had no issues in terminal following your steps. Even tried to change zsh to bash and IT kept saying "No change".. If you could provide any insight pls do. Again, wish you the best
I also found this video extremely helpful! I could not find any "installer" in my applications or utility folder so I thought I was lost. I did not know about the trick of reinstalling the OS to get it back. Moreover the well detailed sequence of steps cleared all my doubts and now I gave new life to my macbook by using an ssd ! Thank you
Thanks so much! Saved my MacBook Air Mid 2011 edition. Struggled with many other solutions that didn’t work (6 hours wasted) until I found yours and BINGO!
This is my second time coming back to this video as I have been going back and forth with an old 2010 iMac. Great content here and inspiring me to continue my RUclips journey!
As soon as I started to watch this video I knew that it was the one after been watching several videos with people who just copy what they saw in other videos. I always wanted to be an IT profesional but I have no Math skills, that and other important things related with my health makes me to leave it, even tho, I learned English for myself and I achieve to be an Apple Certificated Technician a few years ago, i had to leave it in 2018, same health problems , any ways, I still working fixing Mac´s but there's information like this that no one teaches you in any place, only an IT Engineer knows how to do it, I'm so grateful four your help. thank you boss!
Great Video, however I cannot find the area where the terminal commands are saved that I can copy, Also, I am going to use the Sierra installer on another Mac, what is that process? thanks so much
If you perform the below terminal commands with 10.15 Catalina or newer, you need to run this command before performing the other terminal commands. This will change the terminal shell to bash instead of zsh. Zsh was the default terminal shell for macOS Catalina and later. chsh -s /bin/bash Here are the terminal commands you need to create the macOS Sierra 10.12 Installer onto your blank USB flash drive. sudo plutil -replace CFBundleShortVersionString -string "12.6.03" /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Info.plist sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/IT101 --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app Once you have created the flash drive, then you can boot the other Mac to the installer by holding down the Option/Alt Key when you are turning the Mac on. Then select the installer from the Boot Options List. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else 😊
This was extremely helpful! I've been trying to find ways to create a bootable USB with macOS Sierra for literal ages now. I will say, I kept running into the same error multiple times but realized there's two different Terminal Commands. After macOS Catalina there's the Terminal Command which is zsh. This failed until I ran the command: chsh -s /bin/zsh Once changing this and making my Terminal Command go from zsh to bash, this actually worked. Thanks for the instructive video. This is 100% going into my saved videos folder! Well explained and you explained multiple errors with multiple solutions. Earned a sub!
brilliant , especially for myself who is a newbie to text code, one item though ,i didn't realise that my drive had to be the same as your drive as a name iT101 as my Terminal kept saying invalid volumes etc, :-) :-) great learning curve ,Thankyou,
Long time Mac user, but I cannot understand why Apple only makes this trouble for MacOS 10.12 Sierra. Sierra was the last "great" Mac OS, IMHO. It ran well on hard drive-based Macs, was cloneable, and just worked instead of setting up roadblocks for everything. Back in those days, I created customized, fully-updated image files I could clone onto SSD Macs in under a minute. It made fleet management so easy. I suppose there are some things better these days (i.e. "erase all contents and settings"), but managing a fleet is much less fun now. Thanks
i went through ALL the trouble, transmac never worked on windows, nor did the other bootable usb makers for mac os. I made a virtual machine for mac os in order to follow this tutorial to revive an old mac. I dont have any restore dvds or anything so this was pretty much last chance. currently copying files.... hopefully itll work!
If anyone is having a problem with the first error repeating during erasing, if your usb’s name has a space in it try erasing it again and remove the space and run the command again with the space in the drive’s name removed there too
I didn’t even watch what he did when it happened to him, maybe try what he did first, idk. Though it happened to me multiple times and right after I did what I did it worked
I did find the terminal commands however I am downloading the Sierra installer on a Mac that is running Ventura so when I click on the "installOS.pkg, it is says "this version of macOS.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer". I am trying to install Sierra on another older Mac not on the Mac that I am using to download the file. Thanks
Can this be added to an external hdd without needing to reformat the whole thing? Also can I make this bootable software on a 2019 MacBook Pro to then be used on a 2011 MacBook Pro under the command + R start up? Thanks
Having trouble with this... Applicationpath seems to have been deprecated with 12.0. I was able to drag and drop the Monterey Installer (can't get it to work at all with Sierra right now) and hope that will do the trick to get a Macbook Pro back up and running. I reset the device through our MDM (Mosyle) but it caused the computer to boot up to the blinking folder screen where it asks you to contact Apple support :|
This is very useful. I have a question. I am doing all these steps to re-install an old imac (intel) I have. But currently it doesn't have a macOs installed so I am trying to download sierra, on my new iMac M1, but the installed doesn't allow me to install the version of Sierra. What can I do?
very helpful video however I keep getting the is not a valid volume mount point.error i even reformatted my drive to be it101 so i could paste your link suggestions? thanks in advance
I followed the steps in your video and was thrilled when I was FINALLY able to create a bootable drive for Sierra. Everything went just as you demonstrated . . . until I tried to choose the Sierra drive to boot and got a message saying "permission denied" with no reasons given. I received that message when I was in the Utility section and had to choose what to do. Can you think what the problem might be and how to solve it? Thanks SO much for your very helpful video. I really appreciate your time, effort and knowledge.
It is possible you might need to partition and format the drive before you can install the macOS 10.12 Sierra onto the Mac's hard drive/SSD. After you partition/format the drive you should be able to install macOS onto it. Hope that helps 😊 *Please make sure you have backed up any information you would like to keep before partitioning and formatting the disk in Disk Utility (as it will wipe out any information on the drive).
Thanks a lot, it has been very useful, I downloaded MacOS sierra and it ok, but whena i tried to created USB bootable : Wrong INvalid point mount. Your instructions were very usefull.
I might suggest that you try formatting the flash drive again to see if there is a lingering partition or volume on the flash drive. If it still does not work after you format the flash drive, I would recommend trying another flash drive. Please let me know if you still have problems after trying both of those and I will be glad to help you 🙂
Is it possible to create a Sierra usb from a computer with apple silicon? I downloaded sierra but it won't let me run the package script because it's only for intel macs. Would be so much easier if they just provided iso's like every one else...
"This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer." When I try to install it. I was trying to install it on MacBook Pro 2019 and the OS version is MacOS Sonoma.
A 2019 MacBook Pro will not support macOS 10.12.6. The oldest macOS it will support is 10.14.6 (macOS Mojave) or 10.15.7 (macOS Catalina) depending on which model of 2019 MacBook Pro you have. You can use the steps outlined in this video and see if it will allow you to make a flash drive with one of those installers. Please let me know if you need any additional help. I will also be working on making a video about creating Mojave and Catalina installer flash drives in the future.
I was trying to make a boot device for a different old laptop. I tried these methods but it was not working as the command line for the terminal looks for an app in the Applications folder but it's not there. I could download the installation dmg file. It would be helpful if you could give us a method to make a bootable pendrive keeping the dmg file in the download folder. I was trying for the internet recovery. But, it was showing me an weird error. It let me go to all the way to the installation process. It shows me that 6 minutes remaining ... 5 minutes remaining... to ... 13 seconds remaining. And then it shows -25 seconds remaining and then it shows error that something went wrong and it tells me to go through the installation process again!! I am trying to fix a 2017 MacBook Air. @@IT101
Hi! While trying to use the bootable USB I am getting error message " An error occurred while preparing for the installation. Try running this application again" . I have tried 3 times and same message. Do you have any idea why this could be. My date is set to today and wifi is on. Thanks for any help. Thanks for the video !
Hi there You are really smart Maybe you can help me with My old MacBook Pro model:A1278 Can you tell me what version of the new versions are available to install On my Mac please Thank you so much Peace ✌️
I will be glad to help you with determining which Mac Operating Systems will run on your A1278 MacBook Pro. I did not know exactly which year of MacBook Pro you have. I included a list of all the possible years of the A1278 Model below. If you are able to determine which year MacBook Pro you have (by clicking on the Apple menu and then clicking About This Mac), then you can determine which OS’ are supported by your Mac. Let me know if you need any other help. MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008) will support Mac OS X 10.5.5 - OS X 10.11.6 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) will support Mac OS X 10.5.7 - OS X 10.11.6 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) will support Mac OS X 10.6.3 - macOS 10.13.6 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) will support Mac OS X 10.6.6 - macOS 10.13.6 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) will support Mac OS X 10.7.2 - macOS 10.13.6 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) will support Mac OS X 10.7.4 - macOS 10.15.7
@@IT101 Hi there again And thank you so much for u help I think the MacBook Pro it’s a 2010 13, inch Serial number C02G13AHDH2L Let me know which OS I can install on my old Mac And how I can do that please And thank you so much again Peace ✌️
I looked up your serial number on Apple and EveryMac.com. According to those websites you have an Early 2011 13" MacBook Pro. You can officially install Mac OS X 10.6.6 all the way to macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. The reason I say officially is that there is a way to install newer macOS versions (past what Apple officially supports); however, I have not created a video showing how to do that as of right now. I will be glad to create that video for you, so that you can install Mojave and Catalina on your MacBook Pro. If you would like to put the last supported version of macOS (10.13.6 High Sierra) on your MacBook Pro, I have two videos showing how to create the installer flash drive. One of the videos use a Mac computer and the other video uses a Windows PC in order to make the flash drive. I have included a link for both. Please let me know if you need anything else and I will be glad to help 😊 ruclips.net/video/qn2I7kXKjYs/видео.html - How to create a macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Installer with Windows ruclips.net/video/RZOx_6voroI/видео.html - How to create a macOS 10.13 High Sierra Flash Drive
I had a USB 2.0 flash drive that took around an hour to finish copying all of the files. If it goes for longer than a couple of hours, then there might be a problem with the flash drive or it might be a USB 1 flash drive (which will run INCREDIBLY SLOW!!!!!). Let me know if you have any other problems and I will be glad to help you 🙂
Ik this is a really olde video but I’m having trouble with my iMac it won’t boot up all the way and it’s telling me the iOS system isn’t there how can I fix it
I followed this tutorial, and unfortunately because there wasn't a lot of information at the end of the video on direct next steps (hitting restart with the new USB stick selected or the other option, I don't know) I am now stuck with a laptop with a gray screen
It sounds like you were able to create the bootable installer for the macOS Sierra. I created a video showing how to install macOS Catalina (ruclips.net/video/uRI6ySO_rHs/видео.html) on a Mac. You can follow along with the steps and it should work very similarly for installing macOS Sierra on your Mac. If you do have any problems or questions, please let me know and I will be glad to help you 🙂
Hi, this was exactly what I needed, thank you! Would you mind explaining the first command changing the plist file? I do not really understand the terminal commands, but I am very curious about what that did and why it was important? To be clear, I'm just curious because that command made all the difference; I tried following several other how to's on making the Sierra bootable drive, but I kept getting the error of 'not a valid volume' until I found your video. The exfat trick was also great.
thank you for this video. When I boot the mac from the flash drive, it asks me to install the OS on the flash drive itself and says that there is not enough space to mount it on the internal HD. So I erased the internal HD twice and it still tells me there is not enough space on it. Any thoughts? TIA
You may know how to do this; I was just trying to help resolve the "not enough space" problem. Once you turn on your Mac, press the Option Key on your keyboard to select and boot to the Flash Drive. The macOS 10.12 Installer will load. Select Disk Utility from the macOS Utilities Window. In Disk Utility, select the main drive (not a partition and not your flash drive). Then select Partition from the menu above. Make sure to provide a name for the drive, select OS X Extended (Journaled) for the Format, and make sure it is GUID Partition Map for the Scheme and then click Erase. Then you should be able to close out of the Disk Utility. Back on the macOS Utilities, you should be able to select Install macOS and the Installer should find and be able to use the hard drive you just formatted. Let me know if you still need help 😉
I am getting insert and replace require a key path, a type, and a value error with the first line And getting on the second line sierra.app not found and no such file or directory Sierra.app/Contents/ And sudo Application/Install macOS command not found. Please help
If you are able to follow the steps in the video, you should end up with a bootable USB flash drive of macOS 10.12 Sierra. Once you have created the flash drive, turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold the Option key on the keyboard until the Boot Options appear. Once the boot options appear, select the USB Flash Drive and click the arrow to boot to the installer. Once the installer has booted up, you can select to Install macOS on the computer. If you are having any additional problems, please let me know and I will be glad to help 😊
Hi, I was following your video and when I got to the terminal section, I put in the first command with no problem, entered the password, but when I entered the next command, it said a: command not found. I tried twice, but got same message. What I'm I doing wrong?
If the Mac Mini was able to run Sierra, then yes you can make the 10.12 Sierra Bootable flash drive using this method. If the Mac Mini is not able to run Sierra, then we will need to use another method to make the bootable flash drive. I will be glad to make a video showing you how to make the macOS 10.12 Sierra Flash Drive on a Mac that is not compatible with 10.12 Sierra.
@@IT101 thank you. But I ended up using my wife's MacBook from 2012 to do it. Took a few tries but eventually was able to make the boot disk. I think most people trying to restore an old MacBook will probably not have a compatible computer though. My mac mini is M2 so certainly not able to do it. In the end my MacBook still had the GPU issue and the disable nvram code no longer working. So next step is motherboard soldering stuff and not worth it.
I ran the first command no problem and then I ran the second command but nothing happens after I hit enter. It didn’t ask for a password and is just on a blank line.
I might suggest a couple of things to try and resolve the USB Bootable Flash Drive not showing up. 1. Make sure your Mac is compatible with 10.12 Sierra. You can search on Google/Yahoo/DuckDuckGo/etc for your year model and latest os to see if it is compatible (example: Mid 2009 MacBook Pro Latest OS -> This would tell you that 10.11 was the last supported macOS on that particular Mac). 2. Try to zap the PRAM by holding CMD+OPTION+P+R when the computer first turns on. Keep holding those keys until you hear the Mac chime 3 times and then let go of the keys. 3. Try unplugging your Mac, letting it stay unplugged for a minute, plug it back in, wait 15 seconds, and then turn it back on. 4. Boot into the macOS that is already on the computer. Go into the System Preferences, then click on Startup Disk, and choose the flash drive and click on Restart. 5. Make sure the flash drive is working and showing up on another Mac. 6. Try making the flash drive one more time with the same steps and see if that fixes it. Let me know if you need any additional help 😊
It does take a few more steps to perform certain tasks on a Mac (i.e. make an installer flash drive) than it would on a Windows computer; however, I wanted for everybody to know how to be able to do it on a Mac. I too wish they could make the steps quicker and easier on a Mac; however, that is the easiest and most reliable way that I have found to make the installer flash drive on a Mac. Thanks so much for your support 😊
i just got the error 'The copy of the installer app failed." that's after it started copying installer files to disk. any idea what it can be? thank you!
A couple of things I would try to see if it fixes the "The copy of the installer app failed" error message. 1. Try and run the command as sudo (you may have done this already). 2. Make sure the flash drive is large enough to hold the installer (it needs at least 8GB but more is preferable - 16GB or 32GB). 3. Try another flash drive (I can't tell you how many flash drives just quit working for me for no apparent reason). Let me know if any of those fix it for you or if you still have problems. 😉
Hi. It sounds like the terminal command may not be correct. Did you copy and paste the one I included in the description? If so and it is still giving you that error you might want to try another flash drive; the one you have might not be in working order. Let me know if you still have problems and I will be glad to help you.
When you open Terminal Command run this chsh -s /bin/zsh then after you run that, close Terminal Command and start from the beginning of the video. Your Terminal Command could be in zsh instead of bash. If it's not in bash, it will not work. Zsh was the default after macOS Catalina.
A couple things I would check to help resolve the problem with your Mac not recognizing your flash drive. 1. Rebuild the flash drive with the steps in the video one more time to make sure the installer is working properly. 2. Try a different (even new if you have one) flash drive to put the macOS installer on. Then try booting again. 3. Make sure the flash drive is plugged directly into a USB port on the Mac and not a USB hub connected to the Mac. 4. Zap the PRAM by shutting down the Mac (or turning it off), turn the Mac on and immediately Press and Hold Command+Option+P+R on your Mac Keyboard, continue to hold the keys until the Mac chimes 3 times, then let go of the keys and hold down the Option key on your Mac Keyboard. See if the flash drive shows up now. 5. Reset the SMC for your Mac by following the instructions on this page, support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295. If you still have problems with the flash drive not being recognized, please let me know and I will be glad to help 😊
Usually this error comes up because the certificate that is associated with the macOS installer (macOS Sierra or any other version of macOS) has expired. In order to fix this problem, we need to change the date of the computer for the installer. I have included those steps for you below. If you are booting to the macOS Sierra Flash Drive. 1. Boot your Mac to the macOS Sierra Installer flash drive. You can do this by turning on your Mac and immediately holding down the Option key, then select the macOS installer flash drive, and click the arrow below the icon to boot the macOS installer. 2. Once you are inside the installer, click on the Utilities Menu and select Terminal. 3. Once inside the terminal, we need to change the date of the Mac. You would use a format like this (date {month}{day}{hour}{minute}{year}). So for example February 6th, 2021 at 13:45 would be "date 0206134521" without the quotes. 4. After you have entered that date command (date 0206134521), you have pressed Enter, and you do not get an error in the Terminal window, then you will want to close out of Terminal and try to install macOS Sierra (or any other version of macOS) again and see if it works. 5. If you still get an error about the macOS being corrupted or tampered with, try changing the date again (Steps 2-4) with a year earlier (i.e. "date 0206134520") and see if it works now. 6. Keep repeating the process (with a previous year) until the date works for the certificate and will allow the installer to install. If you are installing the pkg file inside of another version of macOS. 1. Click on the Time in the top right corner of the screen and click Open Date & Time Preferences. 2. Uncheck Set date and time automatically. 3. Try changing the date to February 6th, 2021. 4. Try to install macOS Sierra from the pkg file again. 5. If the installer still tells you “This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer.”, then go back to step 1 and try one year prior (Example: February 6th, 2020). 6. Keep trying previous years until the installer will allow you to install the macOS Sierra on your machine. *If you keep trying different years and are still unable to get it to install, try turning off your WiFi and/or disconnecting your Ethernet cable. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you still have problems or questions, I will be glad to help you 🙂
Thank you so much for that addition. @bemoore3776 is correct. If you have a space in your username, then you will want to have quotes around your Username. For Example: cd "C:\Users\John Smith\Downloads\Windows10Debloater-master" Another Example: cd c:\Users\"John Smith"\Downloads\Windows10Debloater-master If you have any questions or need any help with that, please let me know 😊
Hi. An A1432 is an iPad mini 1st generation. The macOS software would not work with the iPad. You would need to download iOS 9.3.5, which is the newest iOS that it will support.

Most of the time that error means that it is a permissions problem. You can try changing the permissions on the DMG file to give you full control/access. Then see if it will allow you to create the installer flash drive. Additionally, you can also create a brand new user account on your Mac and try creating the installer flash drive with that account. You might still need to change the settings in order to give yourself full control permissions. Let me know if you need anything else 😊
Sometimes it may not look like it is actually typing the password but it is. Try entering your password (even though you will not see it as you type it) and then press Enter. See if that works. If it does not, please let me know and I will be glad to help 😊
I just uploaded a video on How to easily install or reinstall macOS Sierra on your Mac. I also included a list of all the officially supported Macs for macOS Sierra in the description. ruclips.net/video/tLs8HwnPngo/видео.html
You might want to try formatting the USB Flash Drive again and also make sure it is formatted as OS X Extended and GUID partition for the partition scheme. Also try restarting your Mac to see if that could be causing the problem. Let me know if you are still having problems after trying these suggestions.
I think the password you are asking about is the one it is requesting in the terminal window. If that is the case, then it is your password for your user account on the computer. When you are typing the characters, you won't see them show up on the terminal window. Don't worry about that, they are still being typed in. After you have typed your whole password, then press Enter and it will continue on. Please let me know if you are still having problems with this or if there is another problem you are experiencing. I will be glad to help you 😊
@@IT101 new subscriber, but I don't see the video specific to M1/M2 as mentioned above. Did you ever make it? That was the only thing this was missing. I tried following the instructions on my M1 MacBook Pro, and it won't let you create the .app from the DMG, says it can't be installed on this computer (which is stupid, not trying to install it, Apple...). Thanks for tackling this, nonetheless.
I had a problem but I figured it out. Just make sure you rename the Volume what you've named your USB drive to. In the text I pasted below, my volume is name is SIERRA You will need to change the command from IT101 to your specific USB name. Example: sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/SIERRA --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app
Yes, that is correct. That way it can copy the information to your flash drive. I am glad that you were able to get the flash drive created. Thanks so much for sharing with everybody else. 🙂
I am sorry that the video wasn't able to help you with your problem. Please let me know what problem you are having and I will be glad to assist further.
something didn't go according to plan, I can't install absolutely anything on the Macbook Pro 2011, where I think the Sierra was. The Mac simply doesn't recognize the hard drive, whatever I do. Since I'm not a fan of Mac devices, that's what my wife uses. Mac OS X Base System always appears, even without a hard disk in the computer itself. Sorry once again.@@IT101

Zsh was the default terminal shell for macOS Catalina and later.
chsh -s /bin/bash
Here are the terminal commands you need to create the macOS Sierra 10.12 Installer onto your blank USB flash drive.
sudo plutil -replace CFBundleShortVersionString -string "12.6.03" /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Info.plist
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/IT101 --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app
Once you have created the flash drive, then you can boot the other Mac to the installer by holding down the Option/Alt Key when you are turning the Mac on. Then select the installer from the Boot Options List.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else 😊

Absolutely amazing job man. I've watched several videos but your video worked perfectly for me. Keep up the wonderful work. :o)
Thanks so much! I appreciate it! 😊

In the terminal after erasing it doesn’t complete copying installer files to the disk
It just stuck and doesn’t show that it failed or something
brilliant , especially for myself who is a newbie to text code, one item though ,i didn't realise that my drive had to be the same as your drive as a name iT101 as my Terminal kept saying invalid volumes etc, :-) :-) great learning curve ,Thankyou,

Thanks
good video thanks.. reminder that volume name needs to be whatever you name your external usb...
Thanks so much! Yes, you are correct. The volume name needs to be whatever you named your external USB drive.

If anyone is having a problem with the first error repeating during erasing, if your usb’s name has a space in it try erasing it again and remove the space and run the command again with the space in the drive’s name removed there too

Hope that helps 😊
*Please make sure you have backed up any information you would like to keep before partitioning and formatting the disk in Disk Utility (as it will wipe out any information on the drive).
I did format the drive and everything worked out fine. I had already backed up the entire drive, so no worries there. Thanks SO much!

Can you tell me what version of the new versions are available to install

Let me know which OS I can install on my old Mac
And how I can do that please
And thank you so much again

Please let me know if you need anything else and I will be glad to help 😊

Hi - about how long does it take to copy installer files to disk? Been waiting about 1/2 hour on that step ...
I had a USB 2.0 flash drive that took around an hour to finish copying all of the files. If it goes for longer than a couple of hours, then there might be a problem with the flash drive or it might be a USB 1 flash drive (which will run INCREDIBLY SLOW!!!!!).

Apple screwed up on the writing their install file. This command fixes their error.
Perfect thank you
It's my pleasure 😊
thank you for this video.
I am getting insert and replace require a key path, a type, and a value error with the first line
And getting on the second line sierra.app not found and no such file or directory Sierra.app/Contents/
And sudo Application/Install macOS command not found.
Please help
Could you help me to install any working OS for my old 2013 MacBook Air please
Is it possible to make this bootloader from a mac mini running ventura? I need to make a sierra boot loader for my old macbook pro from 2011.
What if you can't install the application because the mac has 2024 OS?
hi - I've gotten all the steps until when opening Startup Disk, I only see Macintosh HD and not Sierra. Any ideas?
Thank you good video - but why is this so hard on apples? How can you remain so calm?
hello, it returned "zsh: killed sudo --volume /Volumes/IT101 --applicationpath ", what should i do please? thank you
That is true. Thank you for letting everybody know. I will update the video description to include this.
If you're still having trouble with this then please look into another comment of mine that I have posted in this video.
I’ve followed all the steps and the terminal tells me it completed but I can never see the disk in the startup disk list. Any thoughts?
If you still have problems with the flash drive not being recognized, please let me know and I will be glad to help 😊
yes ofcourse its helpful
I'm glad to hear that 🙂
I get an error when trying to install that .pkg file "This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer."
For Example: cd "C:\Users\John Smith\Downloads\Windows10Debloater-master"
Another Example: cd c:\Users\"John Smith"\Downloads\Windows10Debloater-master
If you have any questions or need any help with that, please let me know 😊

I keep getting (error code 112) Mount of outer dmg failed. Any tips on this?
Most of the time that error means that it is a permissions problem. You can try changing the permissions on the DMG file to give you full control/access. Then see if it will allow you to create the installer flash drive.
Additionally, you can also create a brand new user account on your Mac and try creating the installer flash drive with that account. You might still need to change the settings in order to give yourself full control permissions.

You might want to try formatting the USB Flash Drive again and also make sure it is formatted as OS X Extended and GUID partition for the partition scheme. Also try restarting your Mac to see if that could be causing the problem. Let me know if you are still having problems after trying these suggestions.

With Sierra or High Sierra, from what I've seen it's not possible. @@IT101
It works. Please look into another comment of mine that I have posted in this video.
WE NEED ANY PASSWORD FOR THAT
Can you let me know when in the process you are needing a password?
Thank you for your support I make bootable pendrive with another method
Glad to hear that you were able to get the flash drive created. Let me know if you need anything else 😊
I had a problem but I figured it out.
Just make sure you rename the Volume what you've named your USB drive to.
In the text I pasted below, my volume is name is
SIERRA
You will need to change the command from IT101 to your specific USB name.
Example:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/SIERRA --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app
Yes, that is correct. That way it can copy the information to your flash drive.
I am glad that you were able to get the flash drive created. Thanks so much for sharing with everybody else. 🙂
sorry, it's really complicated
I am sorry that the video wasn't able to help you with your problem. Please let me know what problem you are having and I will be glad to assist further.
something didn't go according to plan, I can't install absolutely anything on the Macbook Pro 2011, where I think the Sierra was. The Mac simply doesn't recognize the hard drive, whatever I do.
Since I'm not a fan of Mac devices, that's what my wife uses. Mac OS X Base System always appears, even without a hard disk in the computer itself. Sorry once again.@@IT101
Excellent!! Thank you very much !!
It's my pleasure 🙂
