One thing that drives me crazy with most reviews with macs are the overemphasis on design and aesthetics. The fawning, drooling, and gushing makes me want to claw my eyes out, because as a 33 yearlong Apple user, I never once considered those things important. If I'm going to spend a few grand on a computer I could give two hot damns about how many colors it comes in, how thin it is, or that it is built to outlast a nuclear war or my neighbors three-year-old kid. I want a computer that computes. Not a decorative accessory for my living room. That being said, I've not purchased my next much needed computer due to that. More importantly the inability to upgrade components such as RAM, SSD etc. in the future on all of Apple's consumer level computers is evil. All upgrades have to be done at time of purchase because neither you nor Apple can upgrade later. If not, you seriously run the risk of spending tons of cash on a machine that is quickly going to be obsolete in three or less years. That and the current rumor is that Apple does not intend to support its systems as it once did. Whereas it was up to eight years, they've dropped to three or four. Again, for that kind of money... I'm sorry. I understand corporate greed when I smell it. This to me is a big big deal breaker. To make matters worse, is the greedy exorbitant cost of these upgrades. $200 a piece, for each step up on each upgrade is out of the question and utterly greed driven. I do not see any reason to spend $200 for each upgrade. To go from 8g to 16g to 24g or more costs $200 EACH level up. The same for the SSD as well. By the time you estimate what you think you need three or more years down the line you're spending over $3,000. For these reasons and numerous other unethical situations Apple has committed these past fifteen years is inexcusable. I have come to detest Apple just as much if not more than when I loved them to pieces. But Apple is not, nor has been the same company it was. That Apple died shortly after Steve Jobs passed away. Now its business model is solely about extracting as much coin from its mindless, followers of which I was once one too. As such, I am as much to blame for this as the rest of the Apple apologists. We continued to support that company despite anything it did, and so now knowing how successful its marketing strategies have been, Apple feels confident to be arrogant in its practices. All the while smiling and saying pleasantries when you contact their customer service reps. That disingenuous practice alone rots. I don't nor ever bought into the idea that a company is my friend, thinks like a person, and has my best interest at heart. My business degree was about understanding that companies as businesses are about profit above all else. The American business model has always centered on accentuating the positive while ignoring the negative to the point of denying it or "educating" the costumer to think those negatives are actually beneficial when they're not. And sadly, far too many fall for it hook line and sinker. So, here I sit with an aging Mac, with nowhere to go. I had enough experience with Windows in the past to not like the system, not like its flakiness and constant need for upkeep, or its constant interruptions and nonsense for inserting advertising where it doesn't belong, especially during set up. I don't like the inconsistency and lack of cohesiveness between system upgrades, and I don't like the lack of customer support either. We have an oligopolistic situation today in computing systems and neither are serving the tech world any longer. Linux is not a viable alternative for your average user and for many reasons. Whereas once it was about true innovation and forward movement that benefitted the user and the computer world altogether, today it is about providing as little as possible while forcing more and more money out of us. This in my opinion is slowing down and preventing true progress in computing across the board. We are indeed entering into the dark cycle of capitalism, something few either want to believe exists or is possible when the fact is, it is not only possible, but also a given. Things were much different twenty or so years ago.

Windows for gaming, Linux for very experienced programmers and android users , Mac for content creators, editors, writers, programmers l, and everything creative
Linux could 100% destroy both of them if it was a bit more popular and devs were forced to support it But right now, if you are a developer and don't want to be made fun of in the community, you should learn it ASAP!

*People in the comment section are really worried about me getting into MacOS ecosystem. Please calm down. Microsoft's stock value isn't going to plummet either. 😅*
u have to pay for every fuckin software
@@supto0709
wut?
Most of the Software I use are free (or else my clients will pay. lol).
In windows you will need to pay for the OS itself as well. Which is absurd. But wait, we can crack Windows. Which is also stupid.
@bharat_thapa_ Mac OS development cost is already included in the Macbook's price. The other comment was talking about all the little programs that you may need which are paid.

I doubt you use MacOS at all.
I am well aware of what I am doing and getting into.

Give me example(s) of any software (which is a very must for every software engineer) for which I must pay.
I don't expect you to reply with a legit answer!
just stopped by to give u a view n like cuz ur content is truly informational n simplified.
Best creator . Objective and honest
After been a windows user all my life I changed to a macbook. I got tired of the windows updates that made my laptop laggy, got tired of have to restart to the factory settings every couple of months. I hope Mac saves me all this hassle
I have 3 windows laptop never saw lag after updates
Hey, I just stopped by to say that I admire your work, @TheMysteriousTech , your no frills approach is excellent, no gimmicks, no close-ups, just quality content! This is what the Internet was made for! Again, thanks, and keep up the outstanding job!
The content is something else.thanks for the useful informations.1 subs for u
I use them all Win, Mac & Linux. Linux I'm not that good, but it's nice with Maya and Fire. Mac, good with Wirecast. PC, I use mostly, 3d s max, Adobe, cad program, 3d scan, 3d print, Office prog, Unreal Engine, Unity, Combustion ( win-NT4 )
Only advantages of mac are the ecosystem and battery life
I'd love to see a video on Linux. Great content, well explained for laymen. Thanks!
Thanks!
Logic Pro is not a choice between windows or mac ;) It's for mac
It's a respected DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
But you could go with Ableton or Cubase or many others (on either platform), depending on what kind of music you make and your preferences. Try them all
I personally use Cubase now
Now I know. Thank you so much friend
Windows for gaming, Linux for very experienced programmers and android users , Mac for content creators, editors, writers, programmers l, and everything creative
Linux could 100% destroy both of them if it was a bit more popular and devs were forced to support it
But right now, if you are a developer and don't want to be made fun of in the community, you should learn it ASAP!
Linux and Mac for me. Couldn't pay me to own a windows box after being a computer tech for over 15 years.
I would love a breakdown of Final Cut Pro you explain things so well
Im about to buy me a laptop glad i seen this im going to buy the $6000 Macbook 16" M3 Max here in Aōtearoa (new zealand)
I have been using a Macbook pro for the past few days at work and I am not sure whether to like it or not. Honestly, Windows seems more intuitive but the battery life and performance is just crazy (at least compared to my Windows laptop from 2018)
sucks to see your views dropping this channel is so good
your regular voice is so much better
great video, but at 3:46 - you're confusing 3D "modelling" and 3D "rendering" which are 2 different tasks. Yes, 3D rendering is better on Windows because the render engines are optimized for the high powered Nvidia gpus. I think that modelling is just as good on the Mac because it uses the CPU (please correct me if I'm wrong).
When are you going to do Windows vs Linux?
You made me subscribe to your RUclips channel 😮
Both are good…both got their own place to shine…good video…use it to find what suits you the best and go ahead
The universal clipboard is now on Samsung and Samsung has a good ecosystem as well
The Universal Clipboard thing actually works on my ASUS Windows Laptop using the "Phone Link" app, I can do anything on my Samsung Phone and continue on my Laptop
You're the only one I'd listen to on this topic 😅
3 mins, 37 views you're falling off smh
on a more serious note, your vids are rlly helpful ty!!
Love your content. Could you do comparism between surface pro and iPad pro too?
Seriously i have done a lot of research to buy the perfect work tool.for me and your chanel is the best out there 👏
*_"Mac vs Windows"_*
He compares hardware (Mac) with an operating system (Windows). That's a good indication that I shouldn't waste my time with this video.
As iOS dev and a normal gamer, Macbook is still a win for me. Need that XCode running
I mean Linux wouldn't be too bad to mention...
