Android phones vs iPhones made simple: 1) If you use many Windows and Linux devices, buy an Android phone. 2) If you use many Apple devices, buy an iPhone. 3) If you attempt to use an iPhone when all your other devices are Windows or Linux, you will get a headache. 4) If you attempt to use an Android phone when all your other devices are from Apple, you will also get a headache.
Seems so simple but many suffer headaches due to poor compatibility, Common sense you would think 🤔 but if they can't see what's coming from a poor choice buy then let's hope they just choose a better buy because Darwinism is a very real reason to box clever when buying Tech, love your video 👍😎
iPhone are too overhyped...the camera is nothing special Edit: Apple fanboys already in my comments, y'all can cry I'm not changing my mind & this video proves some of those points iPhone cameras are nothing special 💀
Not true, iphone camera is amazing and iphone price is not that far away from top tier samsung phones.. their macbooks are far more overhyped than iphones
@@antonioytmmacbooks aren’t overhyped at all, their battery life throws all other operating systems out the window. can use a macbook for 2 days straight without charge for basic uses, windows will hog on your battery. camera quality for video calls is unmatched as well. also macos doesn’t forcefully update itself unlike windows. did i mention apple is much more secure overall than boring windows?
@@zekenacho macbook has better battery life but has much worse performance for money spend than windows.. also not all windows devices are laptops many of them are pc which are connected to power supply Well camera quality on windows laptops is also amazing if you spend 1500$ on windows laptop Windows does not force update lol.. reminding and forcing update are two separate things and you can disable windows update in settings if you want but its not recommended With secure thing atleast say reason.. reason is that windows has by far bigger market share than macos and of course people will target more popular os but windows defender is amazing antivirus and if you are not dumb you will not have issues with virus in your computer Should i talk about how windows is more fuctional, has dual monitor support, has better control over you device, has far more apps and games developed for it?
That's why I'm never regret my decision on fully switching to android, it gives me more freedom to choose what I want. Make sure you're using an Android Flagship to get the best android experience & performance.
nah!! in this way you can have an idea on what phone your buying nowadays.. also, too much "sweet talks" about the features of the phone that you can actually forgot or not knowing this kind of information... so at least this helpful..
It was refreshing to hear a tech review that was mostly unbiased. He, of course, gave his opinion on why he chooses his preferred OS but he didn't neg the other based on his feelings and not fact. He laid out the pros and cons of each side and left it for you to decide if you felt the same or not. Most tech RUclipsrs lean heavy one way or the other and will make harsh unfounded criticisms off the less desirable OS or manufacturer.
@@TheMissingDislikeButtonI think his voice is AI-generated rather than stemming from his 'tech knowledge,' especially considering he has a main channel named Maske.
Honestly, I am willing to say this guy is one of the best, if not THE best tech youtuber. He cares about our time, gives useful recommendations in the comments, and is very overall informative. I love how he showed the sides of apple and android in a very objective way, which most won't do. Most will either say "Well it just depends on ur needs lol" or having blatant bias, but he just gives us the facts and truth. I am an android user, but I have seen many times where there has been clear bias against apple as well as for it. When they do that, it just wastes your time so they can try to convince you to join their side. I love the work you put into these videos, and I wish you well on your youtube journey. Also, I have a recommendation, I think it might be a bit nerdy, and you might not want to do it, but it might be cool to discuss the differences between macOS and Windows 11 (and maybe linux i guess) because it might be cool to compare features and see the strengths of each OS.
There can't be bias, because Android is always better than iOS, except when it's used in the Apple's eco-system. I thought that would be clear to anyone by now. Btw, basic advantages of different OS: MacOS: video/music editing. Win: gaming + overall popularity. Linux: privacy/security.
I've been team Samsung forever, mainly the note series and then switched over to the Ultra. I currently have a s23 ultra but I switched my daily driver over to the iPhone 15 pro Max when it came out about 3-4 months ago because they finally got USBC. I've used it daily mainly because my wife, kids and family all have iPhones. Personally I don't like it at all! I stayed committed hoping it would grow on me and it hasn't. Who won the s24 ultra comes out I'm switching back to team Android. I'm still going to keep my iPhone but it's not going to be my daily driver
@@lol-yz2kd the Samsung is better at the way you can handle notifications, you can customize it to make it look exactly how you like it and from my experience in the areas I work I have a cell signal on my Samsung when I don’t on my iPhone.
Now THIS is what all tech channels should be like. No fanboy bs, just plain and simple objectivity. All phones have their advantages and disadvantages and I think he made this clear while making it easy to understand for those who know less about tech. Great video man I'd love to see more from you
@@Panmiszcz-lv4mk yeah changing mid tier phone every 2 years or having an expensive phone every 4 years -One gives you better experience (at least for the first 2 years) -Changing to midtiers would still have leftover money even after changing and u dont need to worry about getting repairs for battery
@@killerspree3280 but he is comparing a phone more than 3 times cheaper. It will give much much less performance than the 1000$ in the first two years and if you change it for a newer 300$ phone 2 years later, the difference in performance will still be great. The only downside of the flagship phone after 4 years will be the battery. But after all, everything depends on your preference and needs and also the phones you are comparing.
@@hawrazhede so... The camera is by far worse when it comes to zoom, camera software (manufacturers will choke budget devices with software), telehoto, night time shoots; you can have a flagship chip, but it will be constantly throttling because the phone will have cheap cooling and no optimization; no ltpo, high pwm, etc. please check facts before saying anything.
14:18 OMG this is so true. I have both iPhone and Samsung and I really hate the Notifications mess on iPhone and what's worst after you clear it in a few days the same notifications come back!
This is genuinely the best "faceless" tech youtuber i've ever seen. The videos are professionally made, they actually use a good camera, while not showing their face, nor do they use their voice. But it's the most creative usage of an AI voice. Because the content is actually good, almost MKBHD level content. Keep it up, bro.
Never thought I'd enjoy watching a Stormtrooper talk about phones. solid soldier. I bought a practically new Note20 Ultra in 2023. cause i needed the SDcard.
Im guessing u have a lot of files u need to store? Ive always favoured the phones with sd card slot for more storage however I only need to store photos and videos alongside some large games
Great video! As someone who owns both, I appreciate the no BS approach to both sides. And also, I have found that links open in the correct app from a browser on iOS as long as you are not in incognito mode. Looks like you were in the video? 🤷🏽♂️
Another tip If its the budget category 100-300$ and you're looking for a good powerfull phone skip the midrangers and go with the old flagships They have good cameras, good perfomance, their os is optimized, higher build quality all in the expense of not getting android 14 but lets be honest no one cares
So give me examples, seriously. That's why I'm here, reading the comments. I'm looking for actual information. Not the style of the person who made the video.
Please make detailed comparison of iOS vs Android and Mac vs Windows. You're the best RUclipsr I found who focuses on useful things that matter in daily life and doesn't want to sell things of a particular brand. Honestly judges all pros and cons. So, I would strongly recommend making those two videos and comparing all the pros and cons of these four operating systems that matter and affect the user experience of people in their daily life.
Just don't buy a budget phone such as mid range ones or obscure ones. I suggest getting a 1-2 year old flagships instead because sometimes the software support isn't there for mid-range phones.
Choosing a phone can be a very personal thing. It's not as simple as walking into a store and buying an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy phone. I always do plenty of research when I'm in the market for a new phone, probably to my own detriment. I find that Sony offers the best phone for me, because they still have a headphone jack, no notch or punch hole for the front facing camera, and fingerprint scanner, among other nice features that I prefer. They're not great at updates though, as the Xperia 5 mkii that I have is on Android 12 and stopped getting security updates in October 2022, 2 years after release. But I'm nearly 3 years into owning it and it still works great and I see no reason to replace it any time soon. In the past, I usually would have switched to something else by now, but this has been a breeze. I used a Sony phone before this as well and I now use it as a media device for all of my music and whatnot. It's a model from 2017, and while it slows down a bit sometimes, it's still going strong. There is a long list of reasons why I could never use an iPhone. For anyone who doesn't know what's right for them, tech reviews are made for entertainment now, so there's no shortage of coverage on a phone you're looking at. Watch some videos and see what piques your interest. For me, if I weren't going to get another Sony phone, the Asus Zenfone is fairly similar to what I have and prefer.
My current phone is an Xperia XZ Premium and my next one will likely be the Xperia 1 V. I fully agree that the inclusion of features like the headphone jack, SD card slot and notchless display are very nice to have, albeit sadly very rare. In 2021 my XZ Premium suddenly died (2nd time) and still didn't turn on after a couple days, so I went for the cheap yet powerful POCO X3 Pro. A few weeks ago from the moment of writing this, my POCO's touchscreen suddenly died, with no prior warning or misuse (from my knowledge), which is why I'm back to the XZ Premium. Surprisingly, performance-wise I think this Xperia somehow runs faster than the POCO, despite being a lot older and having a worse chipset (SD 835 vs SD 860). Maybe it's because the UI in Sony phones is usually very light, which might make them last longer? I'm not sure, but either way, I'm 99.9% sure that my next phone will be another Xperia!
@@fujiwarachika2187 Funnily enough, the XZ Premium was an option for me around 2019 when I instead went for the XZ1. It was an open box model from a store not too far from me and it was only $200CAD, so I had to go for it. I still have it and I use it as a media device. It has my music library on it, much cheaper than getting one of Sony's Walkman MP3 players. It's definitely not a speed demon at this point, it was one of the reasons I upgraded in 2021. It was originally quite good but just bogged down for whatever reason, maybe the final update wasn't a good one. Crazy how the XZ Premium is still running well in 2024. If you're not too bothered about updates, which it seems like you aren't, then the new Xperia's are really nice, despite what the reviews may say. The 5ii that I have still runs just about as well as it did almost 3 years ago. It could probably go another 3 years no problem, hopefully nothing goes wrong. Whichever Xperia you get, good luck!
I am an Android user but I have used Iphones. Rather than suggesting which is the best in my opinion between an Android and an iPhone, I prefer to give further advice that is crucial for choosing an excellent Android. The absolutely most important thing is to have an installed version of Android that is stock or very little modified by the brand that sells it. Brands like Poco, Xiaomi or even Samsung tend to suffocate the operating system with changes and improvements that actually create 100% problems in the medium to long term, not to mention the fact that if you have a stock Android version all updates will be immediate whereas in other cases you will have to wait for the brand to update its version. All pixels phones obviously have stock Android but they are quite expensive. Brands like OnePlus and Motorola, on the other hand, modify Android very little. Personally I prefer Motorola. Another thing, everything and I mean everything that an iPhone can offer, Android is also able to satisfy. The only real reason to have an iPhone at all costs is because you have other products in the family ecosystem.
Agree with you in some things. I'm Samsung user and I'm very satisfied with regular updates and phone performing. All I can say is that iPhone is a joke for Samsung.
In my experience iPhones have a more refined experience than Androids with always a few less steps and frustrations. Barely any dropped calls, great RAM management without aggressively closing apps in the background, and solid integration with third parties like HP as well. My HP printer prints seamlessly with my iPhone without fail, but with my Huawei and my brother's Samsung S23 Ultra the printing is terrible and glitches galore with broken pages, now they tell me to print for them. My iPhone, AirPods Pro 2nd Generation, MacBook Air M2, all working seamlessly, if I didn't have a G Shock I would have an Apple Watch as well.
@@darthraider450 I can’t live without my Apple Watch, in my work I have to leave my phone in a security station, but with the watch I’m always connected with the phone, I can read iMessage and reply, use Siri for web browsing and ask her for some conversions, translate from my native language and the most important thing, use calculator haha 😂, the reason I chose iPhone it’s because all my family have one so I can interact better with them with this device, then came the AirPods and then the watch 😅 But sometimes I miss some Android features, like use emulators and do crazy stuff like run an old windows in it, but well that’s the life I think I will never come back 😊
I have a poco m4 pro 5g which l hate.. I recently came to the same conclusion to purchase a Motorola phone with basic Android experience and security updates which will be fine with me... Not interested in four or seven years updates as the cheaper phones will improve over the years so win win.. 😊
@@darthraider450exactly tested S24 Ultra and even needed an Printer Drive and some setup sturggle just to print in my Samsung Printer. On IPHONE just press print and your good to go works every Time. Also i had a lot of missed or late Notification on S24 Ultra even after disable battery optimisation. The wireless pay NFC location is also wired in Android makes a lot of Problems on IPHONE just tab the top of the phone in the terminal works every Single Time. Camera Performance especially in Snapchat and Social Media is still much better the Samsung. Otherwise Software and Features on Samsung way better like Link to Windows, S-Pen, Clipboard, Multiwindow, Easy APK Install.
TLDR Buy an iPhone to trick yourself into feeling cool. Buy an Android if you care about professional photography on a mobile phone, productivity and customization.
Keep grinding man. Definitely been watching you for a while, your knowledge has been very useful. Glad to see more videos coming out. I was lost in the "should I buy or build a gaming PC" to get away from console, and your videos broke down everything in a way I could understand and I'm not a tech person. Good content man. Soon I want to build a gaming PC, I'm only now left to decide on my internals and case. Thanks again man
Common misconceptions about certain topics within this video: - IPS LCDs "offer an uncomfortable viewing experience due to IPS glow. Have lower brightness. Have worse colors...." and all that nonsense. Truth and add-ons: - Most LCDs of this day don't have the severe of an IPS glow. In fact: you'll only see them when viewing the display diagonally (from a very steep angle) AND when the display is presenting darker colors. But that won't disrupt your viewing experience...not even close. What will ruin it is 'Viewing Angels.' - an LCD's viewing angles are meh... unless it's a QLED or a Retina or an OGS display (none these days). Most LCDs tend to have worse viewing angles than Oleds due to their linear projection of light, leading to the display changing brigthness and clarity as you as the angle of perspective becomes steeper. - On the other hand, LCDs almost lack the issue with "flickering", or, in other words, "Pulse width modulation" or PWM, which Oleds have, often destroying your eyes, and some people are highly sensitive to these and get more severe the lower the brightness goes. This is one of the reasons why you can stare at an iPhone 11 or XR all day and not get eye-strain...but the moment you use an OLED screen, things go south. This is the reason why PWM Dimming has gotten popular in OLED and Amoled displays, in order to prevent that from happening. - Another myth about LCDs is that it "drains more power." That simply isn't the case. In fact: It's the opposite. LCD power consumption remains consistent across brightness levels due to the pixels not having to emit light themselves, thus removing the need to increase power consumption in order to produce a certain color of light at a certain brightness...which oleds do. This explains why the iPhone XR and 11 had better battery than their Oled counterparts. - Another myth is "LCDs have worse sunlight legibility." Nope... An LCD is lit by what is essentially a flashlight. If you've ever stared directly onto a flashlight in broad daylight, you now have an idea where this goes. Since flashlights emit strong beams of light linearly, which means they're more focused, they actually remain visible to our eyes even in brighter scenarios. This makes LCDs require less Nits to gain more visibility under direct sunlight as the light is so focused, it actually reaches our eyes....until you view it side ways in severe lighting conditions, which do fall a part slightly depending on the display. On the other hand, Oleds and its individual light emitting diodes are essentially flames. If you shine something brighter than it, it will become less visible. Which is what happens to most Oleds panels under direct sunlight, which many of you may have noticed. This is why Oleds have more severe reflections on their displays than LCDs outdoors. - The reason why people see Oleds as "brighter" is due to Oleds having better light uniformity compared to LCDs. The light projected in an LCD has to pass multiple layers, which will impact brightness. Certain colors will be less visible and the crystals within the LCD display do take a lot of that brightness just to produce that specific bead of color. This is why some areas of an LCD look brighter than the rest, and this only gets more severe as you display a variety of shades of colors. - On the other hand, since each pixel within an Oled display is self-lit, it can essentially produce a color with similar or the same brigthness as the rest, but this is also one of the reasons to the power consumption I previously talked about. - However, QLEDs or "Quantom Dot Displays" and Retina displays have less of this problem. If you've ever held an LG G6 and wondered why the display looks so damn good, it's because of the light uniformity and because it's an LCD (flashlight). Imagine quantom dots as "reflectors" not "converters" unlike in the crystals used in LCD displays. These dots reflect light, but in a different color, all whilst maintaining the brightness from its source. This essentially significantly reduces the brightness reduction light has as it passes through the layers of regular LCD panel, resulting in remarkably better light uniformity and brightness. - LCDs also don't get burn-in and are more durable thanks to being inorganic, unliked the "Organic light emitting diodes" (OLED), which degrade over time and are more expensive to the wallet and the environment. - And the infinite contrast ratio for Oleds is more of a gimmick than an actual "advantage." Ever recall the display comparison between the iPhone XR and a Oneplus device? Recall my statement about how Oleds need to produce more power to output certain colors at a specific brightness? Well, if you've ever wondered why you had a better time watching movies on the iPhone XR, iPhone 7, and LG G6 than its oled counterparts, that's most thanks to LCDs lighting up colors that otherwise would be invisible to Oled panels... Sure, they may lose out on uniformity, but you'll see a lot more of the details in darker areas thanks to the backlight. But not all LCDs are this good, especially with the lack of innovation to the tech in recent years (at least, in the mobile space). - Also. More vibrant and saturated displays tend to invoke more screen time. It's like moths to a flame. LCDs don't give that problem, reflecting on users of iPhone 7s, 6s, and XRs, who are usually casual and more active. Why you should consider an OLED is essentially.... Gaming. Oleds have faster pixel response times, making images look clear even in faster scenarios. And with higher refresh rates, it essentially just widens that gap. It is also perfect for aesthetics with its inky blacks and wide array of color reproduction, and the latter could be possible for LCDs, if companies made effort to do it on phones. Moving on to another topic: UX on android. My advice for those who want an android device to use for the long run: Buy Google's Pixel, or... USE A HUAWEI, OPPO, Realme, or a Xiaomi device. Avoid Samsung devices... Why? Better software optimization, better animations, and better software processing across all their devices (especially Xiaomi). If it wasn't clear with korean games such as PUBG and Krafton that korean software is pretty much an unstable mess, this is your wake up call. Samsung devices easily degrade over time, especially in more intesive uses. So avoid using them if you're gonna be using the device for a very long time. Their unstable mess of a software can take its toll on the hardware of your device over time, resulting in noticeable degredations. Huawei is by far, the closest to IOS in terms of software and ecosystem. Performance: Samsung is good for a year or two (unless it's the exynos models), but just get a Google or popular Chinese models (avoid techno, infinix, and iTel). This if you wish to not use iPhones. Which to be fair, remain smooth and feel brandnew even after half a decade of use. Gaming: For tablets: iPads, definitely iPads. For phones: Android. iPhones tend to overheat and newer models can go make you a fried egg for breakfast with how fast they overheat and degrade as a consequence. - Cameras: If you're into videography: iPhones. They are generations ahead of the competition. If your're into photography: Android (Samsung, Google, or Xiaomi. Avoid Huawei as they tend to manipulate statistics when it comes to areas. Especially in DXO marks. This also includes Honor devices). Overall: This may sound cliche but... Pick something that best matches you. I often pick the most unconventional devices (Huawei) as my daily drivers due to my curiosity. What about you? What do you often tend to do? What do you need? And what's your budget?
The Apple only ecosystem is the thing that is stopping buying a iPhone, we live in 2024, there's so many options to pick and try, why would you limit yourself to one just one?
The thing about Iphones begin more expensive is true. In most countries the prices differ from the prices in the US. In here a s23 ultra 256 GB is 300 $ cheaper than a Iphone 15 pro max 256 GB. As for the video quality on instagram having better quality has nothing to do with favoritism. in the last few years Iphones simply has the best videos quality, hence the difference in quality on instagram.
also, don't forget to check "apple anti repair" topic. also new macbook models have ram and sdd soldered directly to the board meaning no change or upgrade
Helped me understand more about laptops, now i'm here watching a new upload as a subscriber. As a guy who has almost 3 years spent from his life,on fixing phones and giving advices to people on wich phones should they buy, this video is very well done and put together.
I wanna add, that on top of finding what device is right for you, not just any, will work for any carrier you may be using. So, you also have to research whatever you're planning to get, will also work on that carrier. Cuz not all andriod of the same model or just any iphone, will automatically work on any service. They all have specific radios to work for certian carriers. And some can handle many, but some are straight up carrier specific and will not work on any other service. Aslo to add to the comparison. Andriod predominantly (depends on brand and carrier bloat that said brand allows to be added to there own) allows more freedom of choice overall. Some can even let you sacrifice some internal memory, to add to your ram. (not all, some do). Still mad about going apple though. Cus having the expandable memory was a massive plus, and allowed instant access to your photos/vids/music etc from old device to new device. Plus, if you couldn't afford the more memory model, you sorta could get the same or more for less, with an expandable model. Apple, pretty much tells you what to do with your OWN device. You never truly own it. And just today i learned from an iphone user, all cus he owed apple some money, they can and will, lock you out of being able to update apps, use apps, use your own phone. Andriod doesn't pull such shit. Apple has been known in the past to literally throttle your older device, to try and strong arm you into a new one. When they are capable of lasting a little longer. Some features are either non existent or more a pain in the ass to even do. Not sure if my oneplus 8t can, but via another video, some andriods allow you to send a text at a preset time, instead of instantly if you chose too. Apple does not do that at all. Apple is generally "faster" cuz it does less than HALF, what and andriod phone does. But it does it well. As for price, Iphones even to this day, are STILL not worth the price tag. When that same amount on a high end andriod will give you much much more. So why continue to pay more for less? Proprietary, until the whole FINALLY upgrading to usb type C. You could only use the lightning cable. Which, if you were low on battery, and needed a charge, but your friends or whatever are andriod users, your shit out of luck. Apple is also very very scandolous in general. They have those who make their accessories (those both directly apple, and 3rd party) pay THEM royalties, for the RIGHT, to sell accesories for their products. So, apple makes bank off of others work. They get more than the actual makers of that item, do. They LIE! when they said first ever sapphire iphone, only the Camera cover was sapphire, all other was same gorilla glass or whatever glass they now use. Titanium, only the frame is, nothing else. Jerryrigseverything proved such in his tear down video. When they say "never before seen" that means never before seen on an iphone, cuz android had that shit many years prior to they themselves adding it to iphone. I wish i could upgrade to the oneplus 12, as for $800, it kicks the ass of most devices twice its price. (more for your money). But sadly, most carriers are in a battle between google pixel (htc is who makes em now), Samsung (not bad but overated), and iphone (overrated as fuck). So options are extremely limited now.
Why is this even a question? $600 Desktop/laptop is much more superior than a $600 phone in soo many aspect both in work and gaming, the only thing Mobile phone wins is the mobility... Desktop gave you wider range of programs to work and video games to play with, and dont even start with the performance, a $400 desktop 2x more powerfull if you got the components right.
I've noticed that iPhones don't last as long as androids do. I've only been able to compare the Samsung Galaxy series with iPhones, but I am writing this comment on my Samsubg Galaxy S8 which is still thriving and hasn't slowed much since I got it 5-6 years ago. The longest I ever had an apple phone last was 3 years and it becomes impossible to install new updates or to browse on your phone without it lagging every 5 seconds. I feel like apple forces you to buy newer models every couple years by lowering the quality of the phone life, but I'm not an expert and this is only what I have noticed personally. Thank you for the instructive video!!
Absolutely not. As someone who works as technical support for Apple devices, I regularly see old iPhones as well. Had an iPhone 7 in today. Although not perfect, as any old phone, it still worked just fine. Have had 10+ old Macbooks, and no they can do everything, but neither could my 10 year old Windows pc I have stacked up on the shelf.
Just upgraded from a Samsung A32 to a Google Pixel 8. So far the biggest annoyance was the battery but i cut out animations and now it's much better. A ton of unique features and the camera/screen are incredible.
Thats a really interesting video! I would like a lot if you consider doing some video like this about audio equipment maybe. Thank you a lot for your content!
hey man I'm new to your new content and i just wanted to say how much i appreciate your work. keep it up you've got big things in store for you in the future.
Yet another excellent presentation. 7:35 I wouldn't add anything other than to say that the Apple ecosystem is frustratingly restrictive for those of us who want free and easy access to our stored documents. For example, getting music onto and out of an android phone is vastly easier than its Apple counterpart. For this reason alone, unless Apple decides to treat us like adults and restore our freedom, I would never return to Apple.
File management in iOS is terrible. As using iPad and MacOS, i would just love using the apple ecosysem such as AirDrop, But every time i plan to switch to a new phone, comparing apple and android, its always the same issue. I cannot leave Android, File management, custom/modded apps/ downloading all files, with known extensions or not and other stuffs.. Freedom on iOS, will be one on the best experience in phone usage, be we are here still, in 2024 with a phone limited by is operating system
New subscriber.. I just finished binge watching all your videos. I appreciate the content and format. If you wanted to do longer more detail videos, I would definitely watch them. One request, could you please make a video on home networking solutions. Comparing router types, protocols..etc. And answering questions like if I want to upgrade my internet service to a higher tier. What router would be compatible? Do I need a new NIC? You see where I am going. Not sure if home networking is in your wheel house. I would appreciate any input you can give, in your style of course. Take care.
My personal pick is the S22 Ultra;this is a great flagship that can be bought for about 400-500 depending on the model or condition, but is a great phone to buy.
It was very refreshing to see a very simplified and straightforward roundup of the smartphone market. It wasn't 100% correct and missed some parts that would have helped understanding each topic and provided more explanations and examples, but it's a great roundup. Also your suggestions about looking for other tech videos and websites is very on point.
To be more technical; detailed comparison of apple clouding vs android would be just as important and useful for many users. Icloud usability is crappy when it comes to particularly saving your files mac files on the icloud. Being a heavy user of apple products I had no choice but to continue with google drive as icloud has limitted use in many ways..!
I have the iphone 15 pro and S23 Ultra. I prefer the small things I can do on my S23U. Camera: lowlight iphone, daytime photos S23U, landscape photos S23U, portrait either/or, video iphone, zoom photos S23U. Security: iphone. Flexibility: S23U.
I would like to add that certain Android phones use Stock Android. The perfect example of this are the Pixel phones. But Nokia and Motorola come very close. All other Android phones such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung etc have their own MODIFIED version of Android (eg in the case of Xiaomi it's MiUI and in the case of Samsung it's OneUI).
I am android all the way for very much the same reasons that you presented, i have friends who disagree, but i have done things with my Pixel that they couldn't with their iPhone, i had my first Google pixel many years ago and i have been a fan ever since , they are awesome phones except for battery life , my old pixel2xl still performs fantastic with pictures that blow away some of today's midrange phones and at only 12mp, i am diehard Android and you will never see me with an I phone ever.
Nice Channel - I like your style. It might be interesting to explore keyboards and mine. Especially with the different types of keys, backlighting types, and reliability. I had two G910's with the Roma-G keys and both failed quickly. It might be nice to know how to avoid the problem keyboards, and how the different types of lighting effect the keyboard. Such as how the Roma-G keys keep the light inside the key and can have the Symbols above the Numbers, but other keyboards have to put all the symbols on the upper part of the key and have light spilling out. And how some keyboard like the k100 keep crashing and needing to be reset and re-setup.
This is the first video I've seen from this channel, and out of all the videos of "best phones 2023/2024", this is the first time I see someone truly explaining every little tech/important details in such depth. Android phones vs iPhones made simple:
1) If you use many Windows and Linux devices, buy an Android phone.
2) If you use many Apple devices, buy an iPhone.
3) If you attempt to use an iPhone when all your other devices are Windows or Linux, you will get a headache.
4) If you attempt to use an Android phone when all your other devices are from Apple, you will also get a headache.

Just hope he doesn't fall in the same pit as the vast majority of YTbers that do get the attention one day and change completely(for the worse).
So using antutu and dxomark that sell their top results to manufacturers is now a "professional way to buy properly"?
nah!! in this way you can have an idea on what phone your buying nowadays..
also, too much "sweet talks" about the features of the phone that you can actually forgot or not knowing this kind of information... so at least this helpful..

Love this video. I think the comments were very objective not full of fluff and

There can't be bias, because Android is always better than iOS, except when it's used in the Apple's eco-system. I thought that would be clear to anyone by now.

Tabiki adam gibi adamdır.

@@darthraider450 I can’t live without my Apple Watch, in my work I have to leave my phone in a security station, but with the watch I’m always connected with the phone, I can read iMessage and reply, use Siri for web browsing and ask her for some conversions, translate from my native language and the most important thing, use calculator haha 😂, the reason I chose iPhone it’s because all my family have one so I can interact better with them with this device, then came the AirPods and then the watch 😅
But sometimes I miss some Android features, like use emulators and do crazy stuff like run an old windows in it, but well that’s the life I think I will never come back 😊
I have a poco m4 pro 5g which l hate.. I recently came to the same conclusion to purchase a Motorola phone with basic Android experience and security updates which will be fine with me... Not interested in four or seven years updates as the cheaper phones will improve over the years so win win.. 😊

Common misconceptions about certain topics within this video:
- IPS LCDs "offer an uncomfortable viewing experience due to IPS glow. Have lower brightness. Have worse colors...." and all that nonsense.
Truth and add-ons:
- Most LCDs of this day don't have the severe of an IPS glow. In fact: you'll only see them when viewing the display diagonally (from a very steep angle) AND when the display is presenting darker colors. But that won't disrupt your viewing experience...not even close. What will ruin it is 'Viewing Angels.'
- an LCD's viewing angles are meh... unless it's a QLED or a Retina or an OGS display (none these days).
My advice for those who want an android device to use for the long run:
Buy Google's Pixel, or...
Performance:
Samsung is good for a year or two (unless it's the exynos models), but just get a Google or popular Chinese models (avoid techno, infinix, and iTel).
This if you wish to not use iPhones. Which to be fair, remain smooth and feel brandnew even after half a decade of use.
Gaming:
For tablets: iPads, definitely iPads.
For phones: Android. iPhones tend to overheat and newer models can go make you a fried egg for breakfast with how fast they overheat and degrade as a consequence.
- Cameras:
If you're into videography: iPhones.
They are generations ahead of the competition.
If your're into photography: Android (Samsung, Google, or Xiaomi. Avoid Huawei as they tend to manipulate statistics when it comes to areas. Especially in DXO marks. This also includes Honor devices).
Overall:
This may sound cliche but...
Pick something that best matches you. I often pick the most unconventional devices (Huawei) as my daily drivers due to my curiosity.
What about you? What do you often tend to do? What do you need? And what's your budget?
Can u explain a bit more about the Samsung exynos models ? Is it bad
The Apple only ecosystem is the thing that is stopping buying a iPhone, we live in 2024, there's so many options to pick and try, why would you limit yourself to one just one?
Every time he said "but I don't want to confuse you" my IQ went down 2 points
The thing about Iphones begin more expensive is true. In most countries the prices differ from the prices in the US. In here a s23 ultra 256 GB is 300 $ cheaper than a Iphone 15 pro max 256 GB. As for the video quality on instagram having better quality has nothing to do with favoritism. in the last few years Iphones simply has the best videos quality, hence the difference in quality on instagram.

$600 phone vs $600 desktop?
Why is this even a question? $600 Desktop/laptop is much more superior than a $600 phone in soo many aspect both in work and gaming, the only thing Mobile phone wins is the mobility...
Desktop gave you wider range of programs to work and video games to play with, and dont even start with the performance, a $400 desktop 2x more powerfull if you got the components right.
Bro said "if you didn't, you can click on the dislike button" 100% respect!!!
I was about to comment the same thing. Seems like he doesn't just want a lot of likes and subscribers but he wants his videos to be of actual value.
Keep it simple: "DON'T buy iphone".
😂😂😂
its at easy as that
I bought 15 pro on impulse and now I keep it up on the cupboard. it was hard to switch from Samsung to iPhone, but I still stayed with Samsung
@@Florycel Sell it to some sheep and buy yourself something useful, there is absolutely no point in supporting apple.
@@Florycel bad choice
Next video: DON'T breathe WITHOUT watching this video 😂😂 . Can't wait for that one.
😂😂😂😂👌🏿
You're doing a great job since most phones nowadays cost more then 1000 dollars so we must make a good choice before buying a phone.
As using iPad and MacOS, i would just love using the apple ecosysem such as AirDrop,
But every time i plan to switch to a new phone, comparing apple and android, its always the same issue.
Would love to see a video about TABLETS ipads love the reviews even if it is AI or is it ? i like it either way cheers
A second consideration is ICloud really only works with Apple so you're stuck. You can't get a family plan and share the data across brands etc.
I have the iphone 15 pro and S23 Ultra. I prefer the small things I can do on my S23U. Camera: lowlight iphone, daytime photos S23U, landscape photos S23U, portrait either/or, video iphone, zoom photos S23U. Security: iphone. Flexibility: S23U.
first time heard a RUclipsr say if you didn't like the video give it a thumbs down
What app do you use for your AI voices?
The whole thing is AI lmao 🤣
@@RealTechGeekwhat voice tho?

you should've mentioned the great downsides of iOS closed system & source.
leading to a big batch of restrictions.
Buying used old flag ships is so much better value for dollar.
How I’ve always look at it. Android is for freedom. iPhone is for simplicity.
This guy really made me want to trade in my iPhone and get an android phone. No random bs and he just went straight to the point.
Before the video starts I press like because I know how awesome it will be!!! You are the best, keep it up !!!
Now, Xiaomi it's HyperOS
They are called Android skins. Skins vary by OEM
I just gave the very same suggestion 😂🎉
Android>iPhone
I carry and use 2 phones daily. An iphone Pro Max and a Samsung S Ultra. They meet my needs and desires.
I have been waiting all my life for a channel like this.
Thanks for the no-nonsense comparisons. It's apt.
Believe me or not this whole channel run by AI
I know but the person is not ai but everything else is ai generated
All we want is information whether AI or not the information in the video is legit.
youtube.com/@MaskeRUclips?si=xOlau5Ogp9yLswNS This is original channel it's Turkish
En almacenamiento pudiste haber hablado de la tecnología UFS y sus variantes para poder elegir :)
Great video mate. Looking forward to watch more quality content on this channel.
You explained things really well.
thanks for putting captions! i know they can be tedious to add but they are appreciated by me and im sure others as well
Where were you all this time? Just found your channel today and you're my favorite Tech-Tuber so far.
Just discovered this channel today. Intrigued. Comments are flattering!
Subscribed, liked, bell too... really excited to find this channel.
" ... and that gets on my nerves." You are the best!! Thanks for all the great advice
WOW this is fantastic! My first time on ur channel, you came up in my thumbnail. You answered every question I have I cant thank you enough
This is the most interesting channel I found in 2024
I am android all the way for very much the same reasons that you presented, i have friends who disagree, but i have done things with my Pixel that they couldn't with their iPhone, i had my first Google pixel many years ago and i have been a fan ever since , they are awesome phones except for battery life , my old pixel2xl still performs fantastic with pictures that blow away some of today's midrange phones and at only 12mp, i am diehard Android and you will never see me with an I phone ever.
This is by far, one of the best tech reviewers I have watched, straight facts, direct to the point, no bull selling, and best of all, he sounds good.👍
The best description of phones I've heard, for a person like myself who knows very little about Android or IPhone
You should mention the difference between gaming performance between phones and between androids and iPhones in the next video
This relatively unbiased and straightforward information dump reminds me of a teacher I had in university.
Man, I love your videos!! Very informative and direct to the point! Keep up the good work!! :)
This is the first video I've seen from this channel, and out of all the videos of "best phones 2023/2024", this is the first time I see someone truly explaining every little tech/important details in such depth. Being someone that likes to make well informed purchases, I feel like I just found gold. Hulk smashed the subscribe button so hard my phone yelled in pain
This guy simply explains in the best way.....I feel so touched by this video 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Bro, why did RUclips recommend you on my feed, I know most of it but the quality of info is engaging! Imma share this next time if I need to explain
This was the most straightforward video I've watched over my 4 days research into the topic
Just discovered your channel I have to say I'm very impressed with your presentation of the data. Unbiased and straight to the facts with no fancy effects or other nonsense. We definitely need more channels like yours out there
This is truly a highly underrated channel which needs more ATTENTION!!! blud is spilling top tier facts kudos bro 🤜🏿🤛🏿
Thanks for the video. I would check out the recommendations but a video recommendation that's 8 months old probably isn't up to date.
