It was nothing less than a complete tragic nightmare that turned well because you have to process and work through the advice on this it’s difficult but it works and it’s simple but it’s complicated and trust me. It’s gonna be a task to get it to work if that’s the case good luck I was able to do it took me 35 hours.

So I load it to my MacBook Pro late 2011 and its giving me an error that states (Failed to open nacOS installer} The path /System Installation/Packages/OS Install.mpkg appears to be missing or damage. Great tutorial, easy to follow. Unfortunately, for both Yosemite and Mountain Lion after selecting the USB media I'm getting the same screen with "reinstall" "disk utility" etc., with no option to "Install" :/ Any advice would be appreciated

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but I try Sierra, High Sierra and El Capitan and all 3 of them said something about connecting error on the servers
most apple macos are no longer being updated on apple servers, I had the same problem til I downloaded the newest version macos and it worked like a charm
Why use the CMD to format to GPT and then format it again in TransMac? What happens if we skip the CMD parts? Aren't we formatting the USB drive twice?

this worked soo well! I have a late 2009 mac mini I wanted to install and get back up a running. when i formatted it, it wouldnt let me reinstall os X yosemite. Soo I tried this methood and put mountain lion on it and worked flawlessly! I will be sharing this video around thanks soo much
Thanks for sharing! I tried first to install Windows on an old iMac7,1 (2007) but the Windows installation USB stucks and hangs at boot after selecting it from boot+Option/Alt key. The USB installation boot is created by Microsoft Media Creation Tool, so it is MBR FAT32, not GPT (I tried GPT with EFI via Rufus but reached to the same hanging). So with this method, will it work to install Sierra on this Mac that Apple Store refuses to upgrade? And if it works, could further MacOS be installed on this old iMac with similar method, downloading the OS image from Apple Store or else? Thanks!
Thank you so much! This worked with Monterey using the third party Google link provided to download the file! Once installed, I was able to download an updated version of Monterey directly from Apple. You may want to mention that High Sierra is no longer supported by Apple and installation was next to impossible.
This one works 100% MANY many thanks !!! Had a corrupt Mac Pro 2016 and no other macs just pc:s with win 7 and 10 on them, after 4 days of trying find out a working procedure. Internet is soiled with nonsense and fakes and clickbates and just wrong information and some ok but vital info missing and it goes on and on. I really don't understand why Apple can't just upload bootable images with included usb crossplatform auto installer/burner, thats whats needed 2go.

Hello, I did all the steps. I downloaded the Mac OS Lion but when I try to put it on my Macbook it didn't really work. It keeps giving the same error about the installation process (which was the same problem even without the bootable USB) 🥹🥹 Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, thanks for the tutorial and explanations ! As I've downloaded El Capitan OS for the Imac (which was previously on this version) I followed thouroughly step by step the video. Despire this, when I'm plugging the USB key into the Imac and selecting my USB drive it seems to load for almost hald the progression bar before getting me back into recovery mode... Is there something I'm missing? :')

Getting erros on Catalina after verification process saying " no bag entry " error and I also tried Mountain Lion and asked me to connect to the internet to verify the computer eligibility and than gives a error and won't go. Through. Not sure what's going on here but everything worked great just installing that won't work. I am installing the Mac OS on macbook that I have replaced the motherboard not sure if I have to fix the date and time on the bios and how to access it.

Hi, I tried to install MacOS Lion but it says the pen drive is not partitioned using GUID partition table and asked me to use Disk Utility to change the partition scheme. If I try to do this, it forces me to erase the whole data on the pen drive. I am stuck! Please help, you are my last hope!
Unfortunately none of the OS's I attempted to install worked on a Macbook Air A1370. The only OS that it tried to install was Lion and it failed with "can't download additional components necessary for Mac OS". All others simply failed with something like missing download. I googled solutions and nothing helped. Any suggestions?
@@stillcello After many days struggling with this issue I have decided to give up on it. I have ordered an SSD on eBay with preloaded OS hoping that it's just gonna be "plug'n play". Now understand that this isn't going to be solution for everyone (unknown SSD with possible malware etc etc). My goal here is NOT to resurrect a 10+ year old laptop and use it as an everyday working machine. I am trying to make a discarded laptop into working condition, as a collector's piece. I do not intend to have any personal information stored on it. And I will run anti-virus as soon as it is operational again. There maybe other, safer ways to reinstall the OS, I just don't know MacOS to know how to do that.

I've tried this a couple of times. It alwasy ends with an error on installation. I'm running a 2017 iMac with a Sierra installation. I have also tried recovery mode, which always says, "Cannot connect to server." I have tried all the recommendations where you set the date and time.

Thanks for sharing! I tried first to install Windows on an old iMac7,1 (2007) but the Windows installation USB stucks and hangs at boot after selecting it from boot+Option/Alt key. The USB installation boot is created by Microsoft Media Creation Tool, so it is MBR FAT32, not GPT (I tried GPT with EFI via Rufus but reached to the same hanging). So with this method, will it work to install Sierra on this Mac that Apple Store refuses to upgrade? And if it works, could further MacOS be installed on this old iMac with similar method, downloading the OS image from Apple Store or else? Thanks!

Thank you so much! This worked with Monterey using the third party Google link provided to download the file! Once installed, I was able to download an updated version of Monterey directly from Apple. You may want to mention that High Sierra is no longer supported by Apple and installation was next to impossible.

This one works 100% MANY many thanks !!! Had a corrupt Mac Pro 2016 and no other macs just pc:s with win 7 and 10 on them, after 4 days of trying find out a working procedure. Internet is soiled with nonsense and fakes and clickbates and just wrong information and some ok but vital info missing and it goes on and on. I really don't understand why Apple can't just upload bootable images with included usb crossplatform auto installer/burner, thats whats needed 2go.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial and explanations ! As I've downloaded El Capitan OS for the Imac (which was previously on this version) I followed thouroughly step by step the video. Despire this, when I'm plugging the USB key into the Imac and selecting my USB drive it seems to load for almost hald the progression bar before getting me back into recovery mode... Is there something I'm missing? :')

Getting erros on Catalina after verification process saying " no bag entry " error and I also tried Mountain Lion and asked me to connect to the internet to verify the computer eligibility and than gives a error and won't go. Through. Not sure what's going on here but everything worked great just installing that won't work. I am installing the Mac OS on macbook that I have replaced the motherboard not sure if I have to fix the date and time on the bios and how to access it.

it was working until i downloaded TransMac it wouldnt show up when i typed it in the thing, i had to open it in the C drive files it opened but now when i open it as a administrator the file "base system" wont show up none of the files on my desktop will show up when i go to restore my disk

Hi, I tried to install MacOS Lion but it says the pen drive is not partitioned using GUID partition table and asked me to use Disk Utility to change the partition scheme. If I try to do this, it forces me to erase the whole data on the pen drive. I am stuck! Please help, you are my last hope!
Unfortunately none of the OS's I attempted to install worked on a Macbook Air A1370. The only OS that it tried to install was Lion and it failed with "can't download additional components necessary for Mac OS". All others simply failed with something like missing download. I googled solutions and nothing helped. Any suggestions?

@@stillcello After many days struggling with this issue I have decided to give up on it. I have ordered an SSD on eBay with preloaded OS hoping that it's just gonna be "plug'n play". Now understand that this isn't going to be solution for everyone (unknown SSD with possible malware etc etc). My goal here is NOT to resurrect a 10+ year old laptop and use it as an everyday working machine. I am trying to make a discarded laptop into working condition, as a collector's piece. I do not intend to have any personal information stored on it. And I will run anti-virus as soon as it is operational again. There maybe other, safer ways to reinstall the OS, I just don't know MacOS to know how to do that.

I've tried this a couple of times. It alwasy ends with an error on installation. I'm running a 2017 iMac with a Sierra installation.
I have also tried recovery mode, which always says, "Cannot connect to server." I have tried all the recommendations where you set the date and time.
