I had a 2010 MacBook Pro stuck on osx mountain lion, would not update, would not do anything, even took it to an Apple Store, they said sorry nothing can be done…This worked perfectly. Thank You.
It did not work for me, so I read that if you put your old mac into Recovery mode by pressing the combination Option+Command+R buttons, it will download and install the latest supported os for your mac (which was Catalina). It will take some time depending on your Internet speed, but eventually, it updated without any problems.
Dude I download the file for el cap for my mac a1181, which I found in a dump and restored. But whenever i install, the installer runs a program to determined it the software can be install, an alert comes up saying this version of x 10.11 cannot be installed on this computer. Not sure what to do
@@alexandersarmiento1254 To upgrade to High Sierra, upgrade to Sierra first by using the link in the description, and then upgrade to High Sierra by using the App Store.

Is there any way to upgrade to the update OS like sonoma or so? Is it wise to run in late 2012 imac?
There is a way to upgrade unsupported Macs to Sonoma, but I don’t recommend it. I tried it before and it didn’t work for me.
